i'm sick! :( on the day of my interview i went home after lunch and was feeling so groggy and sleepy that the minute i got home, i took my contacts out, washed my face and changed into some old shirt and shorts and went to sleep. when i got up, my nose was stuck and my eyes felt so watery. it felt as though my head was dunked in water. :(
as for my interview, i think it went quite well! :) this is like the first time i've been for an interview and i felt confident.. sort of.. and came out feeling happy. there were no oh-my-goodness-i-can't-believe-i-just-said-that answers. there were some really bizarre questions though. the interviewers showed me a periodic table and told me to describe what i saw in the picture. basically, it was to explain the table in layman terms and i was like ?!?!?!?!?! i did stumble a few times during the interview, but i hope i came across as a fluent english speaker. goodness.. if i didn't, then i don't think i'd be fluent in any language. hm. chinese? HAH. good one. the panel was made up of very very pleasant people! :) it was nice talking to them and they made me feel very comfortable, in the sense that they were smiley people and they said that it was not meant to be a formal interview. they asked a lot of experience questions, like have you worked in a hospital before, have you ever been in a group situation where people were not cooperating, do you think in a group of doctors, they are more likely to follow a leader or work as a team and stuff along those lines. :) so yup i think it went pretty well!
eunice got home from australia yesterday morning! :) so funny. i thought that since mom and dad were back from china, i wouldn't have to set my alarm in the morning. i mean, how can the *beep beep* compare to "IRIS!!! IF YOU DON'T WAKE UP NOW, YOU"RE GOING TO BE SORRY!!" first thing in the morning. :) to my horror, i discovered that i woke up at 7 am. i tried to move as quickly as i could (which is not very quick) to the toilet, when eunice happily popped up next to me when i was brushing my teeth. and the first thing she said to me was not "i'm back!! nice to see you again!" (which would probably happen.. like never) but "you look like hell." how pleasant. :)
anyway, i'm at work with a horribly scratchy throat, watery eyes, a stuck nose.. bleh i think i'll leave early and go home and sleep. ahh.. sleep. :) i love my bed. alrighty, going to go catch some extra minutes of sleep before work starts.. God bless!

i have had a break of 2 days :) nothing eventful happened really.. on saturday i went out for dinner with che and ben. we ended up at the airport eating sushi. :) it was really nice going to the airport.. seeing all the people checking in. terminal 2 is really very nice now! i had a very nice time talking to them. :) they're fun people to be with. after that we went to venezia at 6th avenue and we shared 5 scoops of ice cream. o.0 but it's low fat.. at least that's how i comfort myself. :)
last night i went over to nic's place and i was talking to her for like 3 hours straight. :) we were talking about so many things and she also attempted to teach me how to play the guitar! which i am planning to take up. ;) i now know how to play a chord in G major, C major.. D major.. and.. that's about it :) but it's a start! then after that we went to olio's in serangoon gardens and had gelatos. -.- too much ice cream. :)
it's another tiring day at work.. and i'm falling asleep. i fell asleep on the bus back from lunch. hee hee. this friday is my last day here.
tomorrow is my monash interview..

hm. realised i've been blogging everyday. :) oh well not like i have anything better to do. :D listening to becky taylor now. her voice is amazing!! :D
yesterday was a nice day! i left work early. :D haha slack. anyway, i got home and paul was there! :) he told me he cooked dinner and i told him.. "you're lying.." which probably wasn't the reaction he expected. sorry about that. ;) but then he told me it was all pretty much ready-made and he just heated it up and then i said.. "ah.. now i believe you." haha quite mean but then again.. i was still in shock. :D he made black pepper chicken.. yes a whole chicken.. pizza and fish! :D we each had half a chicken.. omg. that was so filling! then after dinner we watched tv. :) we finished watching singapore idol then he went home. it was so so so so sweet!! :D :D feeling quite high right now.. and very very happy. :)
miss all my friends. september is coming too quickly..

i have a new template!! i've been using the previous one - forever friends - for the past 2 years and i came across this one and totally fell in love with it! :) it's pretty huh? :)
today was a nice day!! work was not very eventful but lunch was enjoyable :) it's nice going out in a big group to eat.
after work, paul and i went to j8 pasta mania to eat dinner. i was trying to look out for phil but couldn't tell who he was since they dont' wear nametags. :) anyhoo, i saw hui xian there!! she still looks so cute. :) :) then after that i saw tse min and vignesh!!!! :D so cool!! tse min and i were talking and talking then vignesh and paul were talking about army.. no surprise there :)
i've been wanting to buy the great gatsby for ages.. just that each time i can't afford it. :( nevermind.. i'll just wait and see. hopefully it'll go on sale one day.. or i'll find a really cheap one. or mom will buy it for me :D

i'm feeling quite sleepy today and a little lousy. i think it's because it's a rainy day. i think it's more likely attributed to the fact that eunice flew off to sydney today. i went to see her off at the airport.. terminal one. when i stepped in and saw all the ac band members hanging around and people coming late, ie after the stipulated meeting time, there was such a strong feeling of nostalgia hitting me that i almost wanted to cry. everyone was taking photos, standing around and stuff. the funny thing was that they all showed up in their official band u to take photos. -.- but it was nice nonetheless. :)
i still remember on that morning, i brought extra shirts and towels to stuff my instrument case so that the tuba wouldn't move around. alex and holas did too so we were just opening cases and undoing raffia to stuff the bell area. then amir and yee sheng were running around with huge rolls of raffia and making sure everyone's cases were properly tied up. :) it was such a chaotic afternoon.. but so much fun. :)
we checked in and then we took the band photo with the banner that had singapore spelled as singapoe. :) ac had a really nice banner that had something like 17th Australian band competition written across it and it was colourful and i was so so so sad because i miss everyone so much!!!! :( all my dear batchmates. boris and hui ying went along for the trip as well and i was thinking that if i went to ac, i could go on this trip too.. but then, for me, it wouldn't compare to rjcsb. :) because i loved my experience in rj. i miss ireland, paris, london!!
my emotions right now are all messed up. i'm happy yet sad.. to sum it all up, today is a confusing day. :) but what i'm sure of is that i love my batch.. -hugs-
