Photo 52, Week 18: Photographer's Whim
It was my whim (and my kids' day off from school)
that took us to visit my friend Peggy and her family at the farm.
We had been there in every season but spring, so it was time.
The rain had brought green (and a little mud, perhaps).
And of course the animals.
Always animals.
I love Peggy's kitchen.
There is a special kind of "inviting" about a place
where the food is all home grown.
The spaces inside are as engaging as outside.
A girly room.
The "man cave".
Complete with the deepening voices of the young men
who introduced us as very little boys
at swimming lessons.
I have loved following Peggy's story.
She has had to adjust a lot of expectations
in order to live close to the earth.
She's being transformed.
So am I.
"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory
are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, who is the spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:18
And soon, the farm will be transformed once again,
when all that's been dormant bursts into glorious life.
Look, the sheep is giddy just thinking about it.
