Quick Tip!

Hi all. Was just thinking about you. A tip for Situational Writing:If writing an informal letter to a relative (or friend) overseas, please do not use the following phrase:

"I heard it's cold over there. Don't forget to wear more clothes/put on more clothes."
That is a phrase that's probably been directly translated from Mandarin (chuan duo jian yi fu - not bAd eh?). So, instead, use this:
"I heard the weather's really chilly over there. Don't forgot to keep yourself warm!"
That's my tip for now. Until the next time! I'll be dropping by!

Good bye

To my dearest little monsters
It is definitely hard to say good-bye. For most of you, I have seen you through almost all four years of your Secondary School life, and you have grown so much. I've had the pleasure of teaching a bunch of horribly adorable and endearing students whom I will never forget. Each one of you has a special place in my heart.
Despite the numerous scoldings and naggings I have subjected your poor ears to over the past 2 years as your Form-teacher (some FOUR years), I hope you realise that I wouldn't have done so if I didn't care about you. I wish you all the best for your 'O' Levels. The next few months will be a true test. You don't need to learn anything new. I have given all I can to you, and now it's really up to you to strive. Whenever you feel despair, tell yourselves that things will always work out in the end. I have faith in you, so have faith in yourselves.
The world, much less Singapore is a very small place. We will definitely meet again, and till then, you'll always be in my thoughts. Many years down the road, you will have moved on. Some of you will still be in touch, some not, but I hope that you will remember me fondly just as I will remember you.
Once again, all the best and take care.

By the way, don't worry so much. I'll still drop by once in a while.
Remember, treat yourselves and one another with respect. Don't give your teachers (especially the new ones!) a hard time. They are there to help you if you give them a chance.

Love you all
Ms Lazaroo
