Spencer got a hit
At last night baseball game Spencer struck out, got walked, and got a hit to first base. It was an awesome night. He did great.
Mica the movie guy
Mica has got to be one of the funniest kids I know. I am a bit partial, he is my kid.
Mica is a movie buff. He watches all of the new movie trailers. He knows a lot of actors and what movies or TV shows they have been in. He loves to make movies too. When we lived in Brigham City he and his friends would film movies. Mica would then edit their film, add music, and put it together. He has gotten a few tips from his Grandma Truman about editing and filming. For the most part he has figured out how to do everything.
He had to do a special project in school for a book he recently read. He choose The Great Brain by John Fitzgerald to recreate a scene from. He cast Spencer and Kai in his movie. It turned out quite well. Kai is a pretty good actor and Spencer is just a good brother. He took it to school and his teacher loved it. She asked if she could keep it to show to his other teacher. He came home from school so excited. He talked non-stop from the time he got home from school until he went to bed that night. That night when Scott was talking to him, Mica said to him, "dad, I love to talk. I love to talk to adults, I love to say stuff, I like how it feels in my mouth. I love to talk." That pretty much sums up Mica. What a great kid we have.
Last week in church the president of Mica's class asked if he would give a report about their Scout Camp Out to all of the men in our ward. He agreed and gave a great report. He is not afraid or timid to get up and give his message. He even got a few laughs. What more could a kid want.

We have moved!!!
After being in Brigham City for almost 9 years we have moved. It has been a very bitter sweet experience.
Scott got a job in Salt Lake City. The commute was to hard on our family. So we pretty much gave our house away and moved.
We feel very blessed that we were able to sell our home and find a new home only 15 minutes from Scott's work. We are in a very good spot.
The kids are adjusting well, but it is going to take some time. Mica is signed up for a movie making camp at the University of Utah this summer. Spencer and Kai are playing baseball this spring. Elle is getting to go to a lot of baseball games. We have baseball 6 days a week for the next 8 weeks. We miss all of our friends in Brigham City. We know that this is where we need to be and that makes things so much easier.
If you would like our new address send me an email, or message me on facebook.
Below are pictures of our new house and Elle eating my tulips.

Elle's blessing day
Scott blessed Elle on Sunday, July 3. We had a great weekend hanging out with our family. Tori's Parents and sisters came for the blessing. Many of our friends were there as well. We have such great friends and family. We are so grateful for them.
The sweater that Elle wore for the blessing was made by Scott's mom, aka Nana/Mother/Colleen. Elle looked so cute.
We also got to meet our new niece/cousin, Kate. We love her. Mica, Spencer, and Kai had a great time with Leah, Kate and Elle. We missed having Abbie, Caden, and Tanner.

Welcome to the world baby girl!!
Elle (like the letter L) Lee was born on Monday, May 16th, at 1:03 pm. She weighed 6 lbs 11 oz, and was 18 1/2 in long. Tori and Elle are doing great. Mica, Spencer, and Kai are great big brothers. Thank goodness we have Scott keeping everything together. Tori's dad stayed with us for a week after Elle was born. It was a huge help, and we are very grateful for him.
Everything went well during the delivery. Elle's umbilical cord was very long, skinny, and had a knot. We are so happy that she is finally here, and we feel very blessed to have her in our home.

Parent/Teacher conference
Last night was parent teacher night. It was fabulous!!! It is a huge relief when you hear that your kids are doing awesome.
Kindergarten was first. When we sat down the teacher said, "are you ready to hear about Kai?" I replied, "yes, and to hear how fabulous my child is." He is doing really well academically, but we have been a bit concerned that he might not be nice to the other kids. This is not the case, he nice to everyone and very helpful to his teacher. I am very glad that he is only mean at home and not at school.
2nd grade was next. I cannot say enough about what a great teacher Spencer has. It has made all of the difference for him. The first month or so of school he spent a good portion of the day in a ball under his desk refusing to do any work. This is behavior that we have seen at home, but it has never carried over to school. We were really concerned. We talked to his teacher and the school therapist and came up with a plan. Things didn't change over night, but there has been a huge improvement since October. Academically things has improved dramatically. Spencer has never been a talker, and probably won't. He is not timid in class, and if he has a problem he is not afraid to talk to his teacher. He doesn't have a lot of friends in his class, but he loves his teacher. That makes all the difference. He can tell that she likes him. This is HUGE for Spencer. Mrs. Reeder said that they have lengthy conversations about rocks. It seems that he has rock collections every where he goes.
Mica is at a different elementary school than Kai and Spencer. We transferred him for academic reasons. He is doing really well. As we sat down to talk with his teacher, Mica said, "there is 20 in it if you make this really good." His comedic timing is getting much better. Scott is quite proud. We are still struggling with his hearing. When he was younger we could tell he wasn't hearing well because he would get louder and louder. This is not the case any more. We had his 7 or 8 set of ear tubes put in just before Christmas hoping this would help. He failed his hearing test before, and was hardly hearing anything out of his right ear. We are not sure how it is now. Over the past few weeks we have noticed him standing right up next to the TV. He can't hear, he is standing as close as he can to the TV. When we have been watching movies he is not hearing much of he dialogue, especially if there is much back ground noise. When we are talking to him he gets the information wrong. He might get part of it, but not the whole message. When we asked his teacher about it last night he said he had noticed it. His explanation was pretty much right on, if you didn't know better you would think that he was really scattered brained. Mica is a bit scattered, but this is much more than just a bit scattered. I have a call into the doctor, we hope to see what is going on soon.
