The Food Post

First off, food in Prague!


KFC Grander Burger!


Local dish of Old Czech Platter. Smoked pork, roast pork, sausages, red/white cabbages, and potato dumplings. YUM.


At a cafe. Soup has minced beef, carrots, potatoes, and BARLEY. Fantastic.


Roadside stall, burger with FRIED CHEESE patty. It OOZES OUT!


Beef Goulash with dumplings! And some steak that I forgot the name.


Best food I've tried so far. Czech desert at its best, Sweet Dumplings with Cottage Cheese, Whipped Cream etc etc. Its piping hot, munch on it and the fillings (I think cranberries) oozes out!


Road side stalls again, this time chicken burgers done differently.

Beef Goulash soup, and Mushroom soup.


Pig Trotter! Something like those you eat with Bak Kut Teh but this one's not cooked with vinegar. Its good!


Pork Cutlet, Germany style. Can't remember the German name for it.


And.... BLOOD SAUSAGE. It tastes... Eww. But its something different, I'm glad I tried it. :D

Lol... Couldn't even finish eating it lah. Too big and too much. 2 beef patties, 4 pieces of ham, 6 slices of cheese, and 3 eggs in all. Oven baked to melt the cheese! Woohooo! Way too sinful.... Too bad mushrooms were sold out at the supermart or its gonna be mega mushroom swiss! BK can close shop :P

OMG this lecturer sux. So I'm blogging while in lecture. And zh is skyping with Siyin right in front of me. WTH right haha.

Time out

Went 2 rounds around the lake today. First in the afternoon, for a run. 2nd in the evening, just for a walk. Blasted music while walking. Haven't had the shiok feeling of music thumping in my ears for such a looooong time.

Missed those times where you just have music in your ears and nothing else. Where you can actually sing and chant along (in my head of course). Used to do in on the bus rides, mrt rides, and while driving cars. Now in Norway I realised that I don't have time for myself, except for cooping up in my own room. Plenty of time to think through many many stuffs.

For one, I'm starting to appreciate Norway. You can never find such a huge lake, such nice forested area, ducks, the FRESH AIR, the scenery, the nature itself, people just strolling and walking their dogs. AH THEIR DOGS. Most of them are not chained/strapped/whateverucallitican'tremembernow. The dogs just follow their owners. Haven't heard a Norwegian dog bark before.

I think I'm going to take these slow long walks more often.. Like at least once a week. Feels good. BUT. Despite all these, I still want to go back to Singapore. Home still feels best.

Plans

Been some time since I blogged! Lotsa updates..

All travel plans (except for year end) has been finalized and booked! Going to Prague and Berlin during term break, and Glasgow in October... to catch KAISER CHIEFS LIVE IN CONCERT! Hell yeah! On a side note, my wallet's thinning. =\

Went to the Norwegian Royal Palace last week. It wasn't that royal to begin with. Just looked like... normal building? Haha. There's nothing much in Norway to see!

Ok maybe there is. Wilh Wilhelmsen! Damn nice larrrh. Ok that was for the buffet lunch. The place itself.. quite nice lah. lol.

Ok we were being TOTALLY tiong over there. Almost each of us koped a roll of toilet paper. Its superb quality lah! Compared to the lousy ones yet expensive ones from the supermart. So... the cubicle had like 7-8 rolls initially, and when we left the toilet it was down to... 1 left. Haha. And special mention to Victor for being the most tiong of us all, he actually koped a... company FORK. Yes a FORK. With the engravings of the W mark from Wilhelmsen. GG!

The gang! Oh, I lost the photo of the wonderful buffet. Shucks.. First time in Norway I burped until so shiok loh. Anyways there were superb prawns, wonderful meatballs, awesome ham-on-bread, delicious chicken drumsticks, fanstastic sausages, mouthwatering potatoes, and... and.. Thats all I think. Phew if there were anymore I'd be in trouble since I think I just ran out of adjectives due to my limited vocab. =X

These stuffs beside the road elsewhere definately looked more interesting than the Palace!
