New Years Eve

Pictures are out of order, but yesterday was New Years Eve!  It snowed ALL day.  To be honest it hasn't stopped snowing in 5 or 6 days now.  But yesterday was a blizzard - and the snow was already a foot and a half deep - so it just got deeper and deeper as the day went on.  Around 3 it wasn't blowing sideways anymore so I made the kids bundle up and go out with Devin and I.  Devin got on the snow blower and made a big mountain out of all the snow on our back yard.  While the girls and I went and tried to make snow caves out of the big drifts of snow.   There are some crazy drifts - some are taller than us.   Once Devin made a big pile it started snowing like crazy again and we were freezing.  We had plans of making a big snow fort - but we slid down the hill a couple times and went inside.

Then the kids had friends over and we played games until midnight - when we set off fire works and banged on pots and pans.  It was quite a ruckus.  We usually set off a wishing lantern - but it was so windy last night we weren't able to.

Pictures of Willow and Birdie are from yesterday - they are little snuggle buddies.  Willow is always laying all over birdie when she is watching tv or drinking a sippy.

And these are the puzzles we finished this week.
