37 weeks!

37 Weeks today!

The past week I found myself eating crazy amounts of junk food.  So I grounded myself and the past two days have refrained from sugar.  Its actually been easier than I thought it would be mentally, but the problem is I am hungry all day long.  So finding healthy snacks to eat (instead of just grabbing a sugary treat) has been tricky.

Baby is big!  And her movements are big!  She is in my ribs and down at my hip bones all at the same time.  She moves around a lot!  Its amazing to feel, but getting uncomfortable. Its also a bit funny to watch my tummy go crazy.

I don't think I have been nesting.... although I have been throwing everything away!  Last week I took a big trash bag and went downstairs and threw away about 1/4 of the girls toys.  I have tried to do this in the past and I could not make myself get rid of hardly anything.  Well- at 37 weeks pregnant nothing is safe!  I did not even put it in a D.I. pile, I walked right outside and put it in the dumpster.  Then last night I finally hauled a few bins of baby clothes and baby blankets upstairs, I did the same thing.  I had a huge pile that should have gone to D.I. (old blankets and stained clothes) and I just tossed them in the trash.  I know its wasteful, but it feels so great to toss things in the trash!

Still no name for baby.  We have a little list with a few names, we might have to just wait until we see her to name her.

If my doctor induces me early then that means baby could be here in 2 weeks!!!  I cant even wrap my head around that!  It is crazy that I am almost finished with my 3rd pregnancy.

The girls are getting so excited!  Finley always comes up to me and says "I'm going to give your baby a hug and a kiss, and then I'm going to give you a hug and a kiss", then she kisses and hugs my tummy then kisses and hugs me!  Its the sweetest!!   And Sailyr- she just can not wait!  She hugs my tummy all the time and loves to ask how many more days.

Sailyr's vip at preschool!

Last week was sailyr's v.i.p at preschool.  And I can't even begin to tell you how excited she was.  Around November she started asking me when her v.i.p was, I looked on the calendar and it was not until the end of April... It was a long wait for her.  She would ask me "how many more weeks" a few times a month.  So about a month before she started planning what treats we would take and what special toy she was going to take and show everyone.  Devin asked her why she was so excited and she said "because you get to sit on teachers lap and look at your pictures, and you get to do everything first that day and help the teacher!"  She also told us that moms and dads come and take pictures, so I told devin he better write it off work, this is pretty important to her.

We put her pictures on a blue poster (blue is her favorite color).  She took her baby alive doll to show everyone, and she took fruit roll ups for treats.

She was so excited!!
But, I'm not sure it was good for her ego or not... She got home that afternoon and was so mean and bossy!  I texted devin to tell him about her power trip she was on and he said to tell her that her v.i.p ended once preschool was over.  I was patient with her, as to not storm on her parade and keep her v.i.p day happy. But that girl was full of confidence that day!
Which is never a bad thing!
:)

I love her!!

Also, my friend sent me this link and I thought it was kind of cool.  This is a little news clip about the Spanish program that sailyr will be in next year.  I thought grandmas might enjoy seeing it.

spring

All those fields full of dandelions just call for us.  Every time we drive past a field bursting with yellow the girls and I just want to pull over and go run through it.  Devin, on the other hand cannot even look at such fields without splurges of anxiety.  He is a dandelion killer.

bubbles

Yesterday evening Devin was outside tilling up the garden.  And seeing how I am feeling very large these days I helped for a few moments, then retired to the lawn where the girls were blowing bubbles.

Here are a few funny things the girls have been saying lately.

After eating some of Devin's birthday cake Sailyr told me "mom this cake is so good!  It tastes like a cake that someone used for a cake smash in your photostudio. "  I asked her how she knew and she told me "Cause I went and licked it up off the floor when you were finished."

We also walked into a fabric store the other day and Sailyr got so excited and said "Mom!! Look at all of these backdrops!!"

Finley has decided we are naming the baby Twinkle Star.

And this morning when she woke up she told me "Mom, my tummy is rattling, its mad at me because it wants some food.  We better feed it."

36 weeks

36 weeks today!
Bending over is getting harder, as well as getting my shoes and socks on.
I absolutely hate wearing jeans, I just cant get comfortable in them.
I also must admit that I am craving sugar like crazy!  I want to live off of candy and ice ream right now.
I'm getting nervous for 3 kids.  The thought of grocery shopping with all 3 of them seems not possible.  Especially since just taking Sailyr and Finley to the grocery store seems to take all day and always ends in one of them throwing a fit.
The past two nights Finley has finally started sleeping all night again.  I hope we can keep on this track so that I'm not up with 2 kids at night soon.

I cant believe we are on the last 4 weeks!
Last week while we were at Target Sailyr said to me "mom, maybe we should buy some binkies and some lotion for our baby".  Honestly, I don't know how she knew to say that, I think an angel whispered it in her ear or something.  I was like "You are right.  We probably should get some baby lotion and a couple binkies".   She will be here so soon, and I am just now thinking about stocking up on baby stuff.  I need to wash her clothes and bring up her bassinette, but its just not seeming real yet.

Spring

It's warm again!!
I just love these warm spring days.  Yesterday we sat on the front porch all morning and watched the ducks play.
Sailyr and Finley played and played and played (and fought a little).  The day ended with them holding hands running through the sprinklers.  And marching around the horse pasture with marker flags yelling "Bree's imagination! Bree's imagination! Bree's imagination" as loud as they could.  I have no idea what "Bree's imagination" means... I don't think they do either, I'm not even sure that's what they were saying, but that's what they told me.

(I could not decide between color or black and white pictures.  So I posted both)

Birthday!

Happy 32 to this guy! (yesterday)
I hope we are still wandering around the garden together when he turns 92.
(although I've decided he will not be walking past the age of 50 if he does not stop spraining his ankle.)  So maybe I will be wandering around the garden and he will be sitting in his wheel chair with an old mean Lucy on his lap.  :)

The girls got their faces painted at the restaurant we went to last night, so I had to snap a few pictures of them while they were out running around picking dandelions.

35 weeks.

35 weeks today.
Baby is just over 5 pounds.
(and she feels like she is that big)
Her movements are big and long, and when she kicks it rocks my entire mid section.
She gets over in my side as well as up to my ribs.
She is finally getting hiccups!  I probably feel them almost every day.  She has only been getting them for about 2 weeks now.  With Sailyr and Finley I felt hiccups much earlier so I was wondering if this baby would get them.
Having to get up at least twice a night to go potty.
Still sleeping ok.
Starting to dream about going into labor.
Having contractions in the evening, its funny to see my tummy get super tight and dis-figured.
You can almost see where her little bum and legs are.
At my last appointment they talked about inducing me a week early.
It was not my regular doctor I was seeing that day, so I don't know what to think about it....
Also a week early would be on Friday the 13th... not sure what to think about that either.
My regular doctor will be back in 3 weeks or so, so I will know better after that.
After all that inducing talk I got freaked out and went and bought a box of newborn diapers.
Still no official name for her.

(I tried to get Sailyr to come be in the picture with us, but she was having much to fun being the photographer.  She did a good job!  She even told me this morning that she told her teacher she wanted to be a photographer when she grows up)

Words from Fin

Some funny things Finley said just today...

While Sailyr was at preschool I was reading books to Finley.  She had just got out of the tub and was sitting next to me with only her undies on.  After reading about 10 books to her I told her she needed to go get dressed and then I would read some more to her.  She picked up my hand and started kissing my hand.  Her eyes were closed and she held my hand and just kissed it over and over.  I told her to go get dressed again and then asked her " Finley, can you hear me?"  She kept her eyes closed and in between kisses said "I'm not a talker, I'm a kisser".
(I guess that was a no..... :)

We were getting dressed for dance class and Finley was feeling extra good about what she was wearing today.  She had on a black tutu with little rhinestones and black ruffle leg warmers.  She kept spinning around, admiring what she was wearing.  And then she said , "mom when I get to dance class my teacher is going to say, Finley you look very Beautiful!"  And Finley was right, right when we walked in her teacher told her she looked beautiful!  :)

And on the way home from dance class Fin found a little scratch on her pinky finger that had started to bleed a little bit.  She panicked and said " Mom you better hurry home, my finger is bleeding and I need a band aide.  If you don't hurry I will bleed to much and I will melt!"

All that in one day...
That girl is too funny!

Finley the frog.

This crazy 3 year old is my reason for burning what ever calories I burn during the day.
She was the sweetest baby, sweetest 1 year old, sweetest 2 year old.... and now - The CRAZIEST, MESSIEST, SASSIEST 3 year old.  I need to just follow her around the house all day and clean up after her... it would make my work load every evening a lot lighter if I did.  She just cant help but make a mess every where she goes.

She colored herself green the other day while I was doing a photoshoot.  This pictures does not even do justice to how much marker she had on her.  It was everywhere.  And I could not get it off of her face for about 3 days.  So we kept telling her that she had turned into a frog, and we wanted Finley back.  She just giggled.

Our first ducks!

Who knew baby ducks were so funny!

little moments....

Today Finley snuck into her room while Sailyr was at preschool and tried on her sister's Bell dance costume.  Then she laid in my bed and watched cartoons in the big puffy dress and tiara.  I made her go change out of it before Sailyr got home so that there would not be a war.

Today I took at picture of Sailyr before School.  They sent home a note telling us dates of Preschool graduation and the last day of school yesterday, and its got me all emotional.  I've loved Preschool Sailyr.  Its been such a fun year for her, and if she is happy then Im happy.  I'm just not ready for this little lady to grow any older than preschool age.

Yesterday I asked Sailyr if she wanted to go to the library.  She gave me a very dramatic sigh... then said "Ugh, the library.... its so fishy, and booky, and quiet".
Haha!  I could not stop laughing.  (Our library has a fish pond in it, by the way)

And a couple pictures that I took of Finley a couple days ago.
On this day she stole my mascara and put it on, then hid it under her bed.  She had done a pretty good job getting it on her eye lashes, but had also got a little bit on her cheeks - it was a dead give away.

Hello April!

This was our warmest day yet, I think it got up to 55 degrees!  These pictures were taken at 9:30 this morning when it was not even 50 degrees yet.  My phone was telling me that it was 47 or something like that.  The girls had ran outside to ride in their jeep and then next thing I know they have swim suits on and they are dragging their swimpool into the middle of the lawn.  They filled it up and splashed around in it, I even saw them both sit down in it.  I bet it was FREEZING.
I think we are all just a little bit ready for warm weather.

And somehow these two talked me into buying them a couple chicks. (not that it takes that much to convince me)  I really wanted to get ducks this year, just to switch it up a bit.  But they were sold out at every store we went to, and the girls were begging for chicks... so ya know.
I have no self control.  But they played and played and played all day long with them.  And I'm sure they wont get put down for weeks.  And really, its not spring at our house without them.... so chicks for everyone!!

We spent the evening in the garden.  Burning weeds, letting Snickers eat down grass, and watching the chickens and children play.  Sunshine and playing outside is so good for my family.  I am so glad March is over, its the worst month of all of them.  Its so cold and long and just horrible, if you ask me.  I'm excited for April to be here!  More warm days and last month until baby month!!

The day ended with Sailyr's dippin' egg café.
