3rd trimester!

Today I'm at 27 weeks, meaning the first day of my 3rd (and last) trimester.  That 2nd trimester just breezes by, doesn't it? Time to get down the box of maternity clothes and watch my tummy blow up like a balloon!

Here are some things to remember,
-baby is about 15 inches long and just over 2 pounds right now. (According to the app on my phone)
- baby is moving all the time, and getting strong. You can see her kicking from the outside sometimes.
-the girls love love love feeling her kick. They actually just love this whole thing, and they are excited to meet her.
-to celebrate my 3rd trimester I finally bought something for her!! a sweet vintage romper to wear for newborn pictures. (Poor thing will probably live in hand me downs her whole life)
- I *think* her name is Ever.  Although we are not 100% and still open to options. We are also in the market for a middle name. ( the only reason I put her name on here because I trust my 3 loyal readers)
- I've been craving sugar, and actually ate Cadbury eggs for lunch yesterday.  Not very smart.
-energy seems to be back, feeling like myself.
- sailyr told me the other day that she wants to be in the room with us when baby is born... And call me crazy but I'm considering letting her.
- I can't wait to take her newborn pictures!!
- and last one, which can't go in-documented... I hate wearing jeans.  And I wear joggers or leggings 98% of the time. When I do put jeans on I regret it 2 min later. (I wore jeans everyday with my other pregnancies... Without complaint)

winter

I have been transferring photos from my phone to my computer.  And these pictures from last summer kind of kill me.  Seriously, this has been the coldest, longest winter of my life.  I think we have seen the sun 3 times since mid December.  I'm not sure if the inversion has set in this winter or if its just been super foggy, but either way... its been like living in a snow globe.  Our snow has just started to melt (for the first time this winter it got above freezing yesterday)  and I'm craving spring.  So these pictures look like heaven to me.

Only like 30 something days left of winter....
Hurry up spring!
(and stay away wind!)

Sailyr.

Here is a little conversation I had with sailyr on Sunday afternoon-

S: mom, today my teacher said "wow sailyr! You are so smart!"

Me: she did?? Why did she say that?

S: because she was asking us questions about Jesus, and i kept raising my hand. And nobody else knew the answers.

Im not kidding when I say, I think sailyr will grow up to be some sort of expert historian on Jesus. This girl is serious about anything about Jesus.

She has been begging me all winter to let her plan and act out a live nativity in snickers barn, and invite all of our neighbors over to come see it.

Finley. Itsy bitsy spider.

Finley is on the right, second to the end.

Sailyr. Be My Guest

Sailyr begins on the front row, on the right.

1st Dance performance of the year!

Its Devin's favorite time of the year!!  The time when we sit in bleachers for hours and hours on Saturdays.  And watch hours and hours of dance performances, just so that we can see our girls perform for a good 2 minutes!  :)  He really does not complain.... but I can just see his eyes glaze over after about an hour of waiting!  Haha!

Today both Sailyr and Finley performed for the first time this year (and Finley's first time ever!)   Sailyr, she just loves this little dance world so much!  She loves going to Dance class each week, and she does so well in class.  She listens and learns her routine really easily.  She was not nervous at all to perform this year, she just got out there and put on a show!  Oh! And this year they actually had tiaras and clip on earrings for their performances!  Seriously.  That is hitting the jackpot in 5 year old world!

(waving goodbye as they run off the floor)

We had to get a picture with our sweet Brylee!  We love our cute neighbors!!  Brylee is both Sailyr and Finley's favorite friend!

Ok, onto Finley.  I was honestly thinking she might not perform today.  She does not love dance class and I am always having to force her to go.  Not to mention, she is the laziest kid in the mornings, and we had to be to the gym by 8:30.  It was torture getting her hair done and getting her dressed and ready.  She was crying in the car on the way there because she was mad about something.  She also wont even go to her church class 90% of the time.... so I was really thinking there was no way she was going to do this.

Well, about 20 min before she was supposed to go on she found the lipstick.  I let her put it on about 10 times just to keep her happy.  And that seemed to do the trick! She was happy and seemed excited to dance! We saw her friends lining up and I walked her over, and she just ran and sat down next to them.... easy as that!
I went and sat back down next to Devin and we could not stop laughing at how cute she looked standing with all her friends.  I'm not sure if its because she is still our "baby" or what, but she seems so much younger than Sailyr did last year.  She just looked so tiny over there, but she was giggling and talking to her teammates.... it was so funny seeing her act grown up.

And on they go....  I have quite a few pictures of them walking on because she was looking right at us!  And I could tell she was trying not to smile at us... It was so funny!

And the music starts!

Waving goodbye!

I told Sailyr to walk over and get Finley once they were off the floor, and I looked back to see Sailyr carrying Finley back to us!  She held her the whole way back, (Sailyr only weighs 6 lbs more than Fin, by the way).  I'm not sure if Sailyr felt so grown up with the responsibility of getting Fin for us, so she felt the need to hold her... but it was funny!  Fin was so excited after she performed and she said it was not scary at all, it was fun!

Love Letters!

Wednesday was Sailyr's Valentine party at preschool.  So we got festive and dressed her for the occasion.  She was so excited to take her valentine bags that she stuffed all by herself!  (She also wrote her name on all 30 valentines all by herself)

I really must have had ambition that morning to even attempt Valentine's day hair!  She was excited about it!

When she got home she ran right in with her candy bag that she decorated at school!  She told me all about how they set up all the bags and went around and put their valentines in each bag.  And she was excited that she got one of her own valentines.

While she was going through all her cards and candy I asked her if she had any other papers in her backpack.  She opened up her backpack and said "just some boring note".
It was an envelope that had "Saylor" written on it, which I though was weird... Her teachers have never spelled her name wrong.  When I opened it up I realized it was not a teachers note.... it was a love letter (preschool style)!  Her very first love note :)  From a little boy that she has sat next to at school for the past few months.  She comes home talking about him a little bit, so I knew who it was from.  But obviously he goes home and talks about her a little more....!  (hehe!) His mom obviously wrote it, but it sounds like he was telling her what to write, and then he signed his name at the bottom.  Devin and I laughed about it all day long, I think its so cute and funny!  I will keep if for her forever!   I need to find out who his mom is so I can email her and tell her how cute the note is.

Saylor, I like being your friend at preschool.
I want to tell you I am giving you a valentines day card,
I like you.
I like when I go to preschool and see you.
I want to tell you that I have a great time with you at preschool.
Thanks for being my friend.

Sick week.

Sailyr came home from school Monday morning telling me that she kind of had a cough at school. By that evening she had a fever and a headache.  And she ended up missing the entire week of school. :( which she was actually super sad about. Finally we got her on some antibiotics, because we're were on like our 4th sick day and she was not getting better.....

So, this is what our week looked like last week. Sailyr just wanted to be held and snuggled, and Finley got lots of play time with the toys all to herself.  (And of course, with no clothes on)

I'm hoping we are on to a brand new week, with no sick kids.
