counting down!
We are ready! December is welcome to come anytime. I just finished making our advent calender today and got it hung up. Each day has a Christmas activity, some just for Sailyr to do, and on the days that fall on the weekend we have activities for the whole family. I only made enough for 20 days, seeing how we will be going to Panguitch for Christmas. I hope I hung it high enough, I am sure Sailyr's little hands will be all over these little envelopes when she wakes up from her nap.
Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas....!

Just hear those sleigh bells jinglin', ring ting tinglin' to...
While we were in panguitch I found this cute little white tree in the drug store. I decided it would be so perfect for the girls to decorate and keep in their room! Today we did not make it out to go get our family Christmas tree so I hauled this one in the living room and Sailyr helped me decorate it.
Finley watched....
Tonight I laid Finley down in front of the tree, wanting to try and get some pictures in front of her first tree. Sailyr came over and laid down next to her. And I happened to capture these sweet pictures. I hope these two sisters will always be this close...
Then she jumped up and skipped away.
Dev just said "I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of Christmas pictures, its not even December and your starting". Ha! I think he is right!

We just got home tonight from being in Southern Utah for about 10 days. I am begging Devin take us out to get a tree tomorrow, so I figure I better get these pictures posted. Cause once the tree is up, there is no looking back!
It was a wonderful/crazy week. It started with Finley meeting her Great Grandma Carter for the first time...
We spent Thanksgiving this year with my moms side of the family.
I should have taken pictures, but we get running around so much, and with 2 babies in my arms the last thing I am thinking about is the camera.
We have so much to be thankful for this year. Including our families health. I am so thankful for my mom, Devin's mom, and Devin's dad. We are so blessed. I plan on them being around for a long long long time. My girls have wonderful grandparents and I don't know how we would survive without them.
Saturday evening we blessed Finley.
Here are some pictures from the evening.
Finley's blessing was wonderful. When we decided not to do it in sacrament meeting I was not so sure about it. Now, I almost want to do every blessing this way. It was so special. It was great seeing so much family, Sailyr was sick almost the entire week and Devin's sisters helped me out so much with my two babies. It just amazes me how great both my family and Devin's family are sometimes. We have such great people to look up to on both sides.
When we got home tonight and opened the front door, Sailyr jumped out of Devin's arms and started running up and down the halls, giggling. Then she found one of her blankies that got left behind and gave it a big hug. Tonight she is sleeping in her little bed surrounded by all her toys, in her warm little room. Finley is swaddled tightly and is asleep here next to me. And Devin is watching his football team on t.v.
Really, there is nothing to complain about.
We are so thankful.

2 of her cousins got baptised that same night.
I am going to teach my kids to worship their grandpa's. These are (pretty much) the only ones they have. We love them so much. They are the best!
Sunday night I went down to visit my Grandma. We needed a picture, but we were having the hardest time getting a good one. :) So here ya go grandma & mom... i made it black and white.
It always helps hide silly flaws.

200 pictures of Finley
And then Sailyr wanted her picture taken too!
Finley and Sailyr are both growing growing growing.
way too fast.
Sailyr communicates with us really well now.
We can understand her, but I doubt anyone else would be able to.
Her words still sound like jibbers to the un-trained ear :)
And Finley has been going through a growth spurt and has been so sleepy.
The other morning Sailyr woke up so early, so Devin put her in our bed and turned on cartoons. While he got up and got ready for work. I was trying my hardest to try to go back to sleep hoping Sailyr would just lay down and watch t.v. But about 10 minutes later Finley started crying, so I turned over and looked at Sailyr.
She sat up and said "mama, baby!" while she was looking out into the hallway.
Then she sat up on her knees and shouted "Baby! Baby! Baby!"
To top it off, she got about 2 inches from my face, opened her eyes up as wide as they would go and said in a kind of creepy voice "baaaaaaaaaa beeeeeeeeeee".
Then she scooted off the bed and ran into Finley's room.
That Sailyr Joy,
She is a crazy woman!
