Day 3 (sep 28)

Sailyr's little life has sure changed in the past few days.  First of all mommy and daddy were gone over night for the first time ever.  She had her grandma here, so she was in good hands, but when they came back they brought a tiny little baby that she has to share mommy with now.  Its been a little hard on her, she has cried and hit at times, then kissed and snuggled at others.  The worst was when I would nurse Finley.  Sailyr did not like that at all!  But each time its getting better, and little by little I see us settling into our new little life.

Finley is doing great!  We took her into a check up today and she dropped down to 5lbs 15oz.  But she is not jaundice (there was a chance while we were still in the hospital).  She is eating great and sleeping amazing!  Last night I felt like I got a full nights rest, I am sure every night wont be that way but I appreciated last night.  I am a little nervous about when grandma goes home and Devin goes to work....  but for now we are doing great!

If I could find the pause button on life, I would be so tempted to push it right now!

Day 2 (sep 27)

Leaving the hospital

We gave Sailyr a new baby doll when we brought Finley home to help her warm up to the baby.  She loves to point to her two babies and say "Ohhhh! Itsa baby" in the littlest, sweetest voice.

Welcome to the world...

Little Miss Finley Mae!

Monday, September 24, 2012

This is us, pretending to patiently wait for labor pains.
Which come, but don't stick around for long.
Yesterday evening we went to my favorite park here in Idaho Falls.
Sailyr and Devin sat down by the river side and tossed rocks in the water.
I think Sailyr could sit all day and throw rocks in the water if I let her.
The sun was hitting the water perfectly....

The leafs are just now starting to turn.
We sat out on the back porch Saturday morning and Sailyr collected all the leafs that had fallen on our patio furniture.  She is trying to say the word 'leaf'.
Soon our green back yard will have a gold ground cover.
I cant wait!

I go in tomorrow morning...
you never know, next post could be a picture of a new baby!

(and because I just said that, I'm pretty sure I jinxed everything and she wont be born for another month)

Remember when Sailyr was just born??

I cant believe there is a baby that is probably about this size inside me right now.  It is the craziest thing for me to think about.  So yes, Obviously I am still pregnant.  I have tried everything to go into labor and nothing is helping.  I go into the dr. again on Tuesday and he talked about starting me if I had not had her by then.  This weekend would really be perfect to have a baby, but I have learned I don't have much say in the timing of these things.

Tomorrow is my original due date, and the 28th is my 'new' due date.  So she needs to start packing her bags, cause its time to move out!

Everyone Send Labor Pains my way! I will happily take them :)

I have noticed that when I am out in public everyone stares at me.  Its only been the past week or so that its started to happen, and as I walk away I can hear them making little remarks about me.  Nothing mean, just the usual "Oh that looks so uncomfortable" sort of thing.

Yesterday evening we went with Devin to Cal Ranch so he could get some new work pants.  And while he was trying them on I looked at myself in a full length mirror. (Ours broke before the move and I have not got a new one yet.... so we don't have a full length mirror)

I am HUGE!  I could not believe how big I look.
This picture is even being nice... or maybe I was just in shock last night.
But standing there looking in the mirror I thought to myself
'no wonder everyone looks at me, I seriously have a basket ball under my shirt'
None of my shirts are fitting anymore, so Dev gets to share his with me.
My pants are tight, and wont buckle up, so I just have to wear a longer shirt.

Please
Please
Please,
little baby...
Come soon.
