weekend

The weekend started out with going to have lunch with dev at work.  When Devin got off work we drove to St. George for my cousin, Cameron's wedding.
While the bride and groom were getting pictures taken we got a few of us girls.   My grandma had 4 daughters.  Between the 4 daughters she had 4 grand-daughters, This pictures is of us + Sailyr.
This is almost all the girls in the family, I guess we are missing 3... well, 4 including Cameron's new bride.

This is Sailyr's cousin Tessa, she is only 6 weeks older than Sailyr.  I was so worried that she would have no cousins her own age to grow up with.  But luckily we have little Tessa, and Cree's new baby!  We find out what he is having in 10 days!!!  His baby is not due until the middle of March... so Sailyr will be more than a year older than it.  But once they get a little older I hope they are best friends!  I never realized how fun it would be for me to have my little brothers get married and have babies.  But I love it! His wife Kenzie is so sweet, and I think she just fits in the family perfectly!  I am so happy for them!
On our way home last night we decided to stop for dinner and bowling.  Sailyr was wide awake after sleeping from St. George to Mesquite... but it was almost bed time.  So we just needed to get her out of the car for an hour or so.
She was soooo clingy this weekend.  Not letting anyone hold her (sometimes not even devin).  And so we had to hold her like the whole time we were bowling.  She was so happy to be home last night.  Makes me kinda sad to leave again, we have a hunt in Panguitch this next week so we are going to be gone most the week.  I hope she does ok!!

Waiting for daddy to come home.

Yesterday we went and sat at the park to wait for daddy to come home.  Sailyr is so content outside and loves playing on the grass, we are also trying to be outside as much as we can while its still great weather.

Finally he came home from work and him and Lucy came over to the park with us.  Sailyr is so cute when her daddy gets home, she gives him big smiles and flaps her arms.  Then she crawls over to him and squeals until he picks her up.

look at her squinted face :) makes me laugh.

And....
Sailyr's new game is tearing all the DVDs off of the shelf.  After cleaning them up about 6 times one day I finally just decided to leave the mess until I tuck her into bed at night.

She is defiantly keeping me on my toes, this week she has not only found the dvd shelf but also ate 2 pieces of dog food (2 different times) - don't worry I got them out before she swallowed them.  And keeps trying to crawl out our sliding glass doors.

I have a feeling the craziness is just beginning!!
Bring it!

This weekend started off with a trip to the corrals here in Tonopah.  Going out there always makes me want to buy a farm and a bunch of animals.  But then I think about all the work I would have to do, and I decide I just need to be neighbors with a farmer.  That way I could take Sailyr out to see all the baby animals without the dirty work!  I am not sure Sailyr knew what to think, she sucked her thumb and looked at all the animals with big eyes.  She was pretty interested in them, but defiantly did not want to touch them.  Lucy on the other hand, was miss bossy.  She would climb right in the corral (with what ever animal, pig, sheep, cow, horse) and bark and chase them around.  Really, I should give her to a farmer, I think she missed her calling in life :).

Speaking of Lucy, it was her 3rd Birthday this weekend.  Devin grilled a hamburger Pattie for her and we sang happy birthday. She is 3years old so I think that makes her 21 in dog years.... that makes her old enough to move out on her own, right?

sailyr update!

(sorry I forgot to turn the picture:)

Sailyr is getting so big, this is what she is doing when I go in to get her from her crib.  Kneeling at te side, holding on to the edge.  I think its so cute, but its just that much closer to her being a toddler.

And here are just some more pictures of her playing...

Still no teeth, she is almost 9 months old... so they should be coming in soon.

I guess its safe to say summer vacation is over.
Last week I had Seminary and Dance both start, and I don't know if I dare say this out loud, but I am loving both of them.
Yes, even seminary.
The old testament is actually very interesting - ok.

And dance, oh man, I did not know I missed those 50+ little girls until they came bouncing in the studio.  All with their little dance shoes on, so excited for dance class.
This is my 3rd year, so my little babies who signed up when they were in preschool are now in kindergarten, or 1st grade.  :( it just makes my heart break when I see them getting taller and having to order bigger dance shoes.  Not cool I say, Not cool at all.

Anyway, back at home Sailyr is becoming more and more of a crazy toddler everyday.
And she now has the army crawl down.
She can go really fast, she just cant get her little tummy off the ground.
She has also been teething.
runny nose. fussy. clingy. not sleeping well. screaming.
yaaaaayyyy for teething.

oh! And I really love my summer flowers!

While we were up north visiting my family I was lucky enough to meet up with one of my best friends Hollee.  She started taking pictures just a few months after me and at first I wanted to book family pictures with her, but because of Devin's hunt he was not able to make it up with us.  So I had her take Sailyr's 8 month pictures instead.   She did a wonderful job, I feel like she really captured Sailyr's personality! Here are just a few of the pictures she took.

p.s. I know what your thinking... YES, Sailyr does have way too many pictures taken.  But I CANNOT help it. - dont judge me, I am a sucker for pictures :)

camping

We just got back from camping.  Devin is still hunting out here in NV, and wanted to try a new area that is about 90 minutes from home.  Sailyr and I packed up our stuff and decided to go brave the forest with him for the night.
The tent we take for little one night trips is just a two man tent.  So by the time we get our queen size sleeping back there is hardly enough room just to put our shoes by the door.  I tried to push our bed as far to one side as I could, this left about a 1 foot by 2 foot triangle shape which is were Sailyr was going to sleep.  I put a few blankets down, but the entire time I was wondering if we were really going to get any sleep that night. She has a hard time if she is sleeping in a pack-n-play, let alone a hard ground, in a tent.  Luckily she did very well!  Only woke up once, I honestly was so surprised!
But its a good thing she did so well, because this little lady has lots of camping trips ahead of her.
She also got her hands in some dirt for the first time.  I decided going out there that I must not stress about her getting dirty, so for about an hour I just let her play.  I did how ever try to keep it out of her mouth, but she was for sure entertained.  We will have to get her a sandbox next summer!

 Messy dinner time

She definatly loves being outside, so happy!
