Glorith

The young woman called Glorith is the second to bear that name, also Black Witch's apprentice and newest member of the Legion Academy. The first Glorith was a one-time Legion foe who was recruited by the Time Trapper. The curent Glorith is a young woman whose background is still a mystery. She has said that she was "chosen as a baby to serve the light" and has no memory or images of her parents. She first appeared under the wing of the Black Witch and Blok, on the Sorceror's World. The current incarnation of Glorith has training in the use of sorcery, but is still a novice in the mystic arts. She has certain magical abilities that can be used spontaneously, but apparently requires prior preparation or the use of rituals for more significant effects. The BG was made by Srinu, to my understanding. Of course I retouched it to match my character better. You can find more of those magical backgrounds on sree-sreecreations.blogspot.com
Special thanks to all The Legion of Super Heroes fans for your support!

Karate Kid

No, not the Karate Kid from 1984 with Ralph Macchio and no, not the new remake of the Karate Kid with Jaden Smith that was actually Kung Fu. This is the "real" Karate Kid from the Legion of Super Heroes in the future. Real name Val Armorr, he is a master of every form of martial arts to have been developed by the 31st century. The extent of his skill is so great that he can severely damage various types of hard material with a single blow and was briefly able to hold his own against Superboy through use of what he called "Super Karate". I remember when I was a kid and the Ralph Macchio movie came out I got excited thinking it was this character, but instead it was Pat Morita wax on wax off. I couldn't resist to cast Bruce Lee for   the Karate Kid of the Legion. He was such an iconic martial artist. For those that don't know, Karate comes from Japan, Kung Fu comes from China, is not the same thing. Val Armorr was the son of one of Japan's greatest crime lords, Kirau Nezumi, also known as Black Dragon. Japan's greatest hero Sensei Toshiaki (the White Crane) eventually killed Black Dragon for his crimes and adopted the infant Val. He raised Val as if he were his own son, and trained him in all manner of the martial arts.

Star Boy

Thom Kallor was born on a orbital satellite over the planet Xanthu in the 30th century. His parents were astronomers and Thom was born with the meta ability to control gravity. Star Boy possesses the ability to control the gravitational force of an object. He does so by borrowing the gravity from stars and redirecting this force onto a designated area. He can sink cities and pinpoint it to objects smaller than pebbles. He is capable of drawing enough mass to create a black hole by recreating the weight of a collapsing star. Thom wears a suit crafted together by three different Brainiac 5's that is a map of the multiverse. It is fine tuned so that Thom's mass induction ability when properly applied can create small wormholes into these realities or transport himself. It is a skill he has yet to refine. Of course there is the whole love affair with Dream Girl that ended not so good and cost him to get expelled from the Legion. The Star Boy of Earth Prime differed from other realities in that he was of African descent. On new Earth he decided to defend Opal City like the Starmen before him. He even took on their codename as Starman. Shortly thereafter, his heroic efforts in Opal caught the attention of the reformed Justice Society of America and Thom was recruited.

Comet Queen

Comet Queen was a member of the Legion Academy. She "Graduated" to the Legion of Substitute Heroes. A teenager from the planet Quaal-III, Grava was starstruck by the Legion and hoped to join by replicating the original powers of Star Boy. Taking her star-ship on an intercept course with the closest comet, Grava jumped through its tail naked and came out mutated with different powers than she had hoped for. This did not detour her and Grava bid her time, and built up some credits, to fly off to Earth and set out to prove herself worthy of Legion membership. She is able to fly at super-speeds while trailing a stream of stellar energy, much like a comet does. She has great skill in flying, showing hairline maneuvering through various obstacles at high speeds. She seems to be able to alter the chemical components of the gaseous trail she leaves behind - with various effects. Already demonstrated are effect include a gas which allows a deep, large cloud covering making it impossible to see through. Another induces drowsiness or even sleep in those who inhale its fumes. Whether she will demonstrate more remains to be seen.

Colossal Boy

Colossal Boy real name Gim Allon, is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes who can increase his size and strength to gigantic levels. The Original Gim Allon was born the only son to Wynn and Marte Allon of Earth. He was raised in a patriotic and Jewish family. As a young man, Gim enrolled in the Science Police Training Academy to become a member of the Science Police. While on vacation on Mars with fellow cadet and childhood friend Gigi Cusimano, a strange meteor crashed into the soil near him. The meteor's radiation altered his body's RNA, giving him the power to grow to giant sizes at will. On the Threeboot Earth-Prime reality, Gim Allon was from Earth but has different ancestry. He was born to a race of giants and had a genetic mutation which allowed him to shrink to a 6' height. As a Legionnaire, Gim has completed personal combat training and wears the Legion flight ring to fly. The ring also serves as a communication and projection tool. With his additional combat training from his studies with the Science Police, he is one of the most skilled hand-to-hand combatants in the LSH and familiar with law protocol.
I remember when I was a kid, I pretended to be Colossal Boy and play with my action figures as if they were small humans, ha.
This background is from the concept art of Mass Effect 3, it's titled Thessia and done by artist Kathryn aka Fluidity. I went over it and changed it enough so it fits the 2D animation style better.

Dream Girl

Dream Girl (real name Nura Nal) is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th and 31st centuries. Nura's home planet is Naltor, where virtually all the inhabitants possess precognitive abilities. She is rated one of the most powerful precognitives on the planet. Her precognitive abilities also give her an edge in strategic planning. She is highly charismatic, capable of convincing men and women to do what she wants, and guided the Legion as leader through Darkseid's awakening in the Legion's time.

Brainiac 5

Brainiac 5 is a long-standing member of the Legion of Super-Heroes with a 12th level intelligence and force-field belt. He is an expert on the science of time-travel (and many other things).
In the 30th Century, Querl Dox was born on Colu, a direct descendant of the original Brainiac and Vril Dox II. After centuries of disuse, the title "Brainiac" was taken by Querl's father, and eventually was given to Querl at the age of twelve. He was the fifth to ever hold the title. Making many breakthroughs in the science of time travel during university as a young boy thanks to his mentor Circadia Senius, Querl was invited to join the Time Institute in Metropolis on Earth. He became close friends with fellow time genius, Rond Vidar. He invented the Time Bubble, which became the primary mode of time travel for the Legion of Super-Heroes.  The background titled  Space Laboratory was made by Dorianoart-d4jvi0z. Of course it was changed and toned down to fit the animation look better.

Superboy

And for my 200th post and since I'm doing The legion of Super Heroes, Superboy was a good choice, incidentally was also inspired on comic book day.
Real name Kal-El originally from Krypton and raised on Earth by human farmers, Jonathan and Martha Kent. Basically Superboy is Superman as a boy. Superboy has adventures that occur in the relative past to those of Superman and take place predominantly in his hometown of Smallville. In 1958, a Superboy story called "The Legion of Super-Heroes" in Adventure Comics #247 changed all that. The story features three super-powered teenagers from the 30th century who offer Superboy membership in their superhero club, the Legion of Super-Heroes.

Dragonwing

She is a member of the Legion Academy on 30th Century New Earth. Dragonwing appears in 19 issues. When several Legionnaires are presumed dead, Dragonwing and her classmates find themselves suddenly bumped up to active Legionnaire status. Dragonwing has the ability to exhale several dangerous chemicals from her mouth at high speeds   She is able to breathe fire like a flamethrower or can spit successive streams of acid venom at her opponents.
I was inspired at the WonderCon yesterday and when I came home this came out of nowhere. I retouched the BG to blend with the character better. This background won the contest "Scenes from a movie” of the website GameArtist. The team was (Ilya Nedyal), Shadows (Steven Chagnon) and Alina Gal who won the gold medal with their vision of Blade Runner.  Since this is purely for fun, personal use only and I'm not making any money with it, I can use BG's as long as I give the artist the deserved credit. I'm sure if I ever have to do this for a living or get hired to do similar work I'm gonna have to find the time to produce my own BGs. In the mean time my mission of drawing every single legionnaire goes on...

Superman X

Superman-X, kryptonian name Kell-El, was born in the 41st century and is a clone of the 21st century hero Superman. Created by the digitized gestalt inventor K3NT using DNA from the first Superman, Superman-X was genetically conceived to possess all of Superman's strengths, but none of his weaknesses. Unlike the original Superman, Superman-X was not vulnerable to the effects of Kryptonite. In fact, his body actually produced Kryptonite radiation, which he could channel and project in the form of concentrated blasts of energy from his hands. As a young man, Superman-X fought to save the galaxy from the tyranny of a conqueror known as Imperiex. He learned from K3NT that he was created expressly for the purpose of fighting Imperiex. Imperiex's army proved too strong for Superman however, and he was forced to look to the past to find a way to save his future. He traveled backwards in time one-thousand years to the 31st century where he met the Legion of Super-Heroes.
I think this is one of my favorite legionnaires of all times. The design team on the TV show did a great job for this character. I'm glad I was able to finish it before my first WonderCon.

Cosmic Boy

Cosmic Boy is a native of Braal with the ability to control electromagnetic fields. He is a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. His parents struggling for work on the impoverished, metallic world of Braal, Rokk Krinn left at the age of 15 for the mother world of Earth to find work to assist his family. Cosmic Boy was  the team's first leader. Cosmic Boy's brother, Pol, eventually joined the Legion as Magnetic Kid, but died during the "Magic Wars". Cosmic Boy is one of the few Legionnaires ever to have his own miniseries, which ran for four issues in the mid-1980s as a spin-off of the Legends cross-over.

Saturn Girl

Irma Ardeen is a founding member and former leader of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th and 31st centuries. Like all of her people, Saturn Girl is a gifted telepath. Was the first ever female character to lead a super-team in comic book history. Imra Ardeen was born on Titan, where all people have telepathy. She trained to be a Science Police officer but fate intervened when she joined three other teens in stopping an assassination attempt on billionaire R.J. Brande. Inspired by the legacy of Superboy, Brande bankrolled the three teens and they became the founding members of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Taking the name Saturn Girl, she has a selfless tenure. Saturn Girl's powers in her initial Silver Age appearances appeared to be great: she could summon distant people; intrude human, electronic, and animal minds; "push" weakened minds, and even directly control others' thoughts and emotions. In later years, her abilities were portrayed more conservatively: her telepathy was used most often for communication or sensing surface thoughts, while her ability to influence and influence minds was usually limited to minds that had already been weakened in some way, such as by fatigue or a villain's mind control. I was originally going to do the seventies outfit but I had to get this one out of my system first. Most of the seventies outfits for the Legionnaires look kind of striper like for the women and kind of gay for the men. Definitely futuristic nevertheless...lol.

Lightning Lad

Garth Ranzz is one of the three original members/founders of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Empowered with the ability to control electricity he is called Lightning Lad. Garth is the twin brother of fellow legionnaire Lightning Lass and the younger brother of Lightning Lord. Garth lost his right arm to a giant space whale, and had to get a cybernetic replacement. Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl became one of the Legion's earliest couples. Incidentally you have millions of nerves that receive signals from the brain. These signals tell the nerve to operate your muscles in a specific way. These signals are electrical in nature and travel at nearly the speed of light. So you could say you are an electrical energy being. Whoever came up with some superpowers for the Legion of Superheroes was certainly out there and who's to say one day in the future we may be able to have some of those amazing powers too. As a kid, the thing I liked the most about Lightning Lad was that he had Saturn Girl for a girlfriend. The background was done by the Gelmi Art Studio but I had to tone it down so it blends with the animation style a little better.

Gatchaman

When plans for a Gatchaman film were first announced in February 2006, it was with an expected 2008 release. Kevin Munroe (TMNT) was scheduled to write and direct, with Lynne Southerland (co-director of Mulan 2) as producer, and had begun initial treatment, however, in 2008 Munroe was taken off the project to direct Dylan Dog. Early script treatments were written by Paul Dini, but in the Fall of 2007 he was released from the project. In June 2007 it was announced that Robert Mark Kamen was signed to write the screenplay in preparation for a 2008 release.
On December 11, 2009, Imagi's Hong Kong based parent company Imagi International Holdings Limited laid off 100 employess. In January 2010 announced that the Gatchaman project will be "delivered in 100% Stereoscopic 3D", but in order to safeguard working capital it would be closing its United States subsidiaries. The US closure was finalized in late January with the layoff of approximately 30 staffers, and the retaining of a few key personnel who would continue to work as consultants as Imagi seeks $30 million from investors to continue its animation projects. The parent company laid off another 300 employess in early February 2010, calling the layoffs "temporary" as it seeks new investors.
In July, 2010, Imagi posted a new 1 minute teaser trailer for Gatchaman on their company website, with a release date stating "2011". In January 2013 Gatchaman producer Tatsunoko Production announced the dissolution of the business agreement between them and IMAGI International Holdings. With the lawsuit settled, Tatsunoko is clear for their plans to work with Nikkatsu Corporation on a live action feature scheduled to hit Japan this summer.
I did some concept design freelance on the casual look for the main characters. Since it doesn't compromise the story or gives anything away (not that matters now) I believe I can post that rough concept art. I based this look on the original TV series and tried to add a little new flavor to it, modern but old school. And here we are in 2013, too bad to my knowledge this film will never be made after all that great art development by so many artists, such a shame I had high hopes for it.

Supergirl

As Supergirl, Kara Zor-El serves as the biological cousin and female counterpart to DC Comic's iconic superhero SupermanThe Supergirl character first appeared in a story published in Action Comics #252 (May 1959) entitled "The Supergirl from Krypton. In a sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths, Supergirl is recruited by Donna Troy to assist in an upcoming battle. Following a chaotic combat where Firestorm and several other heroes are apparently killed, Supergirl vanishes during the return from deep space. During this time, DC Comics renamed the monthly comic book series Legion of Super-Heroes to Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Beginning with issue #16, Supergirl reappears in the 31st century finding she is revered as a member of the Superman family and joins the Legion of Super-Heroes. Like all Kryptonians under a yellow sun, the current version of Kara Zor-El possesses vast superhuman strength, speed, and stamina; invulnerability; flight; super breath; x-ray vision; telescopic and microscopic vision; freeze breath; heat vision; and super hearing. The modern day Kara Zor-El is also a capable martial artist, having trained with both the Amazons and the New Gods of Apokolips. And believe it or not, I actually know a blonde girl really named Kara in real life, what a trip.

Shadow Lass

She first appeared in Adventure Comics vol. 1 #365 (February 1968), and was created by Jim Shooter and Curt Swan. Shadow Lass was ranked 18th in Comics Buyer's Guide's "100 Sexiest Women in Comics". Her real name is Tasmia Mallor and her homeworld is Talok VIII. She has the power to project darkness. Like all Talokians native to Talok VIII, she has dark blue skin and pointed ears. She eventually made her way to Earth, and entered the Legion tryouts and was accepted as Umbra. Interestingly enough I've been experiencing dark energy from the opposite sex recently. Doesn't matter, my love for art and the female beauty it's an eternal love affair. I was inspired by my lovely friend Eden Muse on this particular pose, she is also a great dubstep DJ.

Phantom Girl

Phantom Girl, real name Tinya Wazzo. She has the power to turn intangible, allowing her to phase through solid objects as do all other natives of her home planet, BgztlIn the second reboot continuity Tinya Wazzo is also the fifth to join, under the codename Apparition. In the new Legion of Super-Heroes continuity that started in 2005, Tinya Wazzo is again called Phantom Girl. Ultra Boy and Phantom Girl are extremely close.
After looking at most of her different designs thru time and realizing most of them are terrible, I based this one on the design James Tucker did for the animated TV series. The best one yet to my personal taste. Incidentally during my lunch break I was looking at my friend Paul Wee's sketchbook and saw a beautiful Betty Page drawing that sparked the idea of using that hair style on Tinya.
Since I don't have much time for a BG, I retouched the Lexus Tower concept by London-based Agency Daniel Widrig that is to be build in Japan. This building already has the shape of a  letter "L" perfect for the Legion Headquarters.

Ultra Boy

Ultra Boy (Jo Nah of the planet Rimbor) is a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th and 31st centuries of the DC Universe. Ultra Boy gained his powers when the space-speedster he was flying was swallowed by an ultra-energy beast (a "space whale"), exposing him to radiation while inside. He has the powers of superhuman strength, flight, penetra-vision, flash vision, nvulnerability, and ultra-speed. All of these abilities seem to be at Kryptonian power levels, but he can only use one at a time. He has twice been elected as leader of the Legion. I thought this was such a cool character when I was a kid, specially because he also is a skilled actor. This skill helped him infiltrate criminal groups where he appeared to "go bad". I retouched a background by Andree Wallin and made it my own Legion Headquarters. Another late night but I'm so happy doing whatever I feel like drawing.

Kinetix

Zoë Saugin is another member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th century. Zoe's mother Azra was a renowned archeologist who shuttled her and her younger brother Thanot around the galaxy on her digs. One day, Azra inhaled poisonous gas while on an excavation, which started eating away her lungs. Feeling helpless as she watched her mother die, Zoe searched through Azra's books and found a magical incantation using the Moon of Kol, an artifact her mother had found. Apparently, the Moon could transform a "drop of love into a wellspring of health" once in a lifetime. Zoe managed to heal her mother. Zoe spent the next few years searching for more sources of magic which she could use. She found one while exploring caverns on Saturn's moon Titan, where she found and absorbed an energy pool which unlocked her telekinetic abilities. Zoe named herself "Kinetix", (as in "telekinetics"), and joined the Legion of Super-Heroes as part of the second set of draftees alongside Shrinking Violet, who later became her best friend. Zoe would become a major asset to the Legion. When the "Terrorforms" changed the people of Earth, Zoe was among the genetic few who became a Terrorform. As a Terrorform, Zoe was linked to the planetary biosphere and responsible, with her fellow Terrorforms, for safeguarding and speeding up the evolutionary process on Earth.
Kinetix possessed telekinetic abilities, which she primarily used to manipulate and reshape solid matter with her thoughts. As a Terrorform, her abilities were undefined, partially as they are reactive to the circumstances she is in. She has been shown to possess healing abilities, flight, greatly enhanced strength, the ability to survive unaided in space, and control of gravity. It was revealed in the Legion of the Three Worlds mini-series that Kinetix had absorbed the magics of the home universe of Earth-247 after its destruction, making her stronger than ever.
Since Zoë is a sexy red wearing green it seemed perfect for today, Saint Patrick's Day!
May your cares be all behind you! May the luck of the Irish find you.

Wildfire

Wildfire was originally Drake Burroughs, an astroengineer. While he was working on a new propulsion system, the unit's safety valve snapped and discharged a blast of anti-matter energy. Burroughs was engulfed instantly but somehow his consciousness survived and Burroughs found himself transformed into a being of pure anti-energy. Fortunately, his colleagues had on hand a containment suit that could be used to keep Drake's anti-energy from dispersing. Once confined to a specific area, Drake's energy form stabilized and became self-regenerating.
After many adventures and becoming the Legion leader, Wildfire recruited a young Amerindian mutant, DawnstarIt was clear to their teammates that they were extremely fond of each other, if not actively in love. However, she feared that she would never know physical love since Wildfire did not possess a physical body.
In the post-Crisis continuity, he used his powers to reignite Earth's sun, and eventually his consciousness ended up in Sun Boy's corpse, a condition he maintained until the Legion reboot.
As a kid I thought this character was so cool, the suit, the mask, a real bad ass. Here is my take on this awesome character. Interestingly enough as I grew up, I  became aware we are also made out of energy and we are also luminous beings.

Dawnstar

Dawnstar from the Legion of Super-Heroes, she is from Starhaven, a planet colonized by Native Americans abducted from Earth by an unknown alien race in the 13th Century. Her name is derived from the appearance on Earth of the planet Venus, the "morning star," which is why she wears an eight-pointed star ornament on her forehead. Dawnstar and her people are of Anasazi Indian heritage. Starhavenites have pairs of large white-feathered wings that grow out of their upper backs, the result of genetic engineering by the unknown alien race that resettled them and triggered their metagenes. You can imagine the psychological repercussion this character cause me as a child from looking at that  cleavage. Whoever genetically design this beauty was a genetic genius.

Mon-El

I've always wanted to design, explore and have fun with my own version of the Legion of Super-Heroes, but for some reason or another I was never able to find the time. It was great to actually work for the TV show WB came up with back in 2006 produced by James Tucker. All thou it wasn't my personal take on it. I thought I should have some fun and play with those endless DC characters. Here is my first rough concept...
Lar Gand, known primarily as Mon-El, is a character in the DC Comics Universe who is associated with the Legion of Super-Heroes and Superboy. The character has been reinterpreted over the years, but in all versions serves as a hero with abilities similar to those of Superman, sometimes serving as a substitute for the better-known character.
As a kid, I've always liked this character. I thought it was so cool to see another future version of a Kryptonian like character.

Gaelic Princess

After seeing Disney's film "Brave" last night got inspired to paint red and green. And also to keep up with my curse of not being able to sleep until sunrise on Saturdays this came out, totally out of nowhere. Was just doodling with my Cintiq, I sketch, drew and painted til the sun came up. Wanted to keep it "rough", so keep in mind this is just a rough concept. Perhaps I'll finish it someday and possibly put it into a canvas. May the luck of the Irish be with you.

Happy Halloween

I drew the line art during the week and was going to paint it live at Grateful Friday's at the Vanguard in Hollywood. Unfortunately because of some "uncontrollable circumstances" it got pushed until next Friday. But next weekend I won't be able to paint this cause' it's not Halloween, and I won't be able to wear my Tron Legacy costume neither, bummer. That's why I pulled an all-nighter and worked on it from last night until this morning. If I paint there next weekend it would have to be something else. Anyhow eat lot's of candy and have a wonderful Halloween everyone!!!
Oh and btw happy end of the Mayan calendar too...

Wonder Woman vs. Captain America

And here is my final version...for now. I'm sure every time I look at it I'll find something else to add or fix. But for now I think it's good enough to post.
Think of it as a little tribute to some of my comic book artist heroes.
I seriously doubt there is someone who doesn't know who Wonder Woman or Captain America is.
If you are one of those people perhaps you are the reason of what is wrong with the world today.
So here, educate yourself...Wonder Woman is a DC Comics superheroine created by William Moulton Marston. She first appeared in All Star Comics #8 (December 1941). As the princess of the amazons her powers include superhuman strength, flight, super-speed, super-stamina, and super-agility. She is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in the art of tactical warfare. She also possesses an animal-like cunning and a natural rapport with animals, which has in the past been presented as an actual ability to communicate with the animal kingdom. She uses her Lasso of Truth, which forces those bound by it to tell the truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets and a tiara which serves as a projectile.
Captain America first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941), from Marvel Comics' 1940s predecessor, Timely Comics, and was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Captain America was the alter ego of Steve Rogers, a frail young man who was enhanced to the peak of human perfection by an experimental serum in order to aid the United States war effort. Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif, and is armed with an indestructible shield that can be thrown as a weapon.
And yes, they are both good guys...woman. Why would they fight? I don't know. Since either character didn't have a similar version on different comic book companies it seemed a perfect match. It appears WW was the DC Comics response to Marvel's Cap. America during World War II.
If you ask me, I think Wonder Woman would kick Captain America's ass in a real fight. After all she IS a goddess. Don't get me wrong the Cap. it's one of my favorite comic book characters since I was a kid, but a Demi-goddess vs. a super-human...Demi-goddess would win.
Once again thanx for stopping bye my Blog, cheers.

Why not ? 11 minutes sketch listening to Tiësto full blast. Yeah yeah, total Adam Hughes cocktail. I figure if I study his work long enough I may get the hang of it some day.

Green Lantern Corps

Rough version of some Green Lantern Corps for Batman the Brave and the Bold.
Green Lantern Corps is the name of an intergalactic police force appearing in comics published by DC Comics. They patrol the farthest reaches of the DC Universe at the behest of the Guardians; a race of immortals residing on the planet Oa. According to DC continuity, the Green Lantern Corps has been in existence for three billion years; surviving multiple conflicts both internal and foreign. Divided as pairs amongst the 3600 “sectors” of the universe, over 7200 members (known commonly as Green Lanterns) are estimated as serving within the Corps. Each Green Lantern is given a power ring, a weapon granting the use of incredible abilities that are directed by the wearer's own willpower.
Here is the beginning of that episode.

Thor

Thor Frozen in Ice, for the Avengers episode "The Casket of Ancient Winters". It seemed appropriate to post some Thor artwork minutes before I go watch the movie tonight, I hope it's a good one. Enjoy!

Enchantress Encased in Ice

Some other art I did for the Avengers The World's Mightiest Heroes. In this episode named "The Casket of Ancient Winters" the Avengers must stop Malekith the Accursed after he obtains the Casket of Ancient Winters (an ancient relic capable of unleashing an everlasting winter on Earth). Introducing characters: Dark Elves (Malekith) As usual always fun drawing beautiful Asgardian women and getting paid for it too, woo-hoo...

Valkyrie

One of my assignments for the Avengers episode "The Fall of Asgard". Lost and separated, the Avengers struggle to survive in the realms of Asgard. Introducing characters: Hela, Ulik, Dwarves (Eitri), Light Elves (Faradei), Valkyrie.
Always fun working for Marvel and get to draw hot Asgardian women.

3D

Ladies and gentlemen I'm happy to present my first 3D artwork.
Last night I went to a channeling psychic medium session called "The Circle of Light" performed by my friend Riz Mirza www.rizmirza.com The event was hosted at Leigh McCloskey's place www.leighmccloskey.com an amazing artist and a modern Renaissance Man. You can appreciate his artwork in 3D, yes that's right in 3D. By wearing the paper 3D glasses his artwork turns 3D, it's mind boggling. You can get those glasses at www.3dglassesonline.com
I was inspired by Leigh's amazing art last night and around midnight I played with my Ayahuasca Vision artwork and voilà I got instant 3D. I put on the 3D glasses and realized I achieved my first 3D art piece. I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks Leigh for the great source of inspiration.
Many Blessings!

Cold Love

Happy Valentines...
And to continue with my "Versus" series, I thought what if we get the ice superpower people from Marvel and DC Comics together, would they battle? I don't really know any male superheroes equivalent to Marvel's Iceman, at least to my knowledge. They're all seems to be villains, Mr. Freeze, Captain Cold, etc...But what if there was a crossover where Iceman would face Killer Frost, would they really fight? If you were an ice made man and came across an ice made "hot" chick, I think the last thing you would do it's fight. Catch my drift? I know this goes against my tradition of making DC, Marvel, Dark Horse or Image characters fight against the equivalent of each other's universe, but it seemed appropriate under this occasion.
Oh, yeah...I almost forgot the comic book education for the comic book illiterate:

Iceman (Robert "Bobby" Louis Drake) is a Marvel Comics superhero, a member of the X-Men. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby, he first appeared in X-Men (vol. 1) #1, (September 1963).
A mutant, Iceman has the ability of cryokinesis where he can freeze anything around him and can also turn his body into ice. Although he is an Omega-level mutant, Drake has yet to tap his full mutant potential. He has, however, begun to take more interest over the years in developing his abilities. One of the original X-Men, Iceman has had a frequent presence in X-Men (and Spider-Man)-related comics, video games, animated series, and movies.

Killer Frost is the name of two characters in the DC Comics universe. They are both supervillains that appear mainly as foes of the superhero Firestorm.
Crystal Frost first appeared in Firestorm #3 (June 1978). While Crystal Frost was studying to be a scientist in Hudson University, she fell in love with her teacher, Martin Stein. While working on a project in the Arctic, Frost was upset to learn that Stein didn't reciprocate her feelings. Frost accidentally locked herself in a thermafrost chamber, but somehow survived. She was transformed in a way that she was able to absorb heat from a living being and project cold and ice. Calling herself Killer Frost, she began her murderous crusade against men and clashed with Firestorm on many occasions. Frost eventually died after she absorbed too much energy from Firestorm.
Dr. Louise Lincoln first appeared in Firestorm (vol. 2) # 21 (March 1984). She was a colleague and friend to Crystal Frost. After her friend died, she decided to repeat the experiment as a last respect to her former mentor, and became the new Killer Frost. She became just as ruthless as her predecessor and began her own personal vendetta against Firestorm, whom she blamed for Frost's death. She briefly served as a member of the Suicide Squad and sold her soul to Neron for more power.
Obviously I decided to draw the most recent one, the one alive in the DC Universe.

Ayahuasca Vision

Ayahuasca is used largely as a religious sacrament. Users of ayahuasca in non-traditional contexts often align themselves with the philosophies and cosmologies associated with ayahuasca shamanism, as practiced among indigenous peoples like the Urarina of Peruvian Amazonia. While non-native users know of the spiritual applications of ayahuasca, a less well-known traditional usage focuses on the medicinal properties of ayahuasca. Its purgative properties are important (known as la purga or "the purge"). The intense vomiting and occasional diarrhea it induces can clear the body of worms and other tropical parasites, and harmala alkaloids themselves have been shown to be anthelmintic. Thus, this action is twofold; a direct action on the parasites by these harmala alkaloids (particularly harmine in ayahuasca) works to kill the parasites, and parasites are expelled through the increased intestinal motility that is caused by these alkaloids.
Ayahuasca is any of various psychoactive infusions or decoctions prepared from the Banisteriopsis spp. vine, usually mixed with the leaves of dimethyltryptamine-containing species of shrubs from the Psychotria genus. A notable and puzzling property of ayahuasca is that neither of the ingredients cause any significant psychedelic effects when imbibed alone; they must be consumed together in order to have the desired effect. How indigenous peoples discovered the psychedelic properties of the ayahuasca brew remains unknown.
The legal status in the United States of DMT-containing plants is somewhat questionable. Ayahuasca plants and preparations are legal, as they contain no scheduled chemicals. However, brews made using DMT containing plants are illegal since DMT is a Schedule I drug. A court case allowing União do Vegetal to use the tea for religious purposes in the United States, Gonzales v. O Centro Espirita Beneficente Uniao do Vegetal, was heard by the U.S. Supreme Court on November 1, 2005; the decision, released February 21, 2006, allows the UDV to use the tea in its ceremonies pursuant to the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
During a ceremony of Ayahuasca I saw this vision while my eyes were closed. I did not purge, since I've never done so well spiritually, emotionally and physically in my whole entire life. Nevertheless I had an amazing and profound spiritual experience that helped me transcend myself for a better person.
Gracias Mama Ayahuasca

Nova Star

Nova Star it's an epic Science Fiction film I've been developing over the past decade. It used to be called Terranova, but due to the upcoming new tv series by Steven Spielberg Terra Nova (two separate words) I had to come up with a new name.
Here is the teaser with a mixture of some rough key frames done by myself and a collection of artwork from a very talented group of artist. It features the amazing deep voice of Lenord Robinson as the narrator and the music from the talented Constance Demby.
It's a very complex story full of spiritual insight that walks hand in hand with action and adventure. It's been originally intended for a live action theatrical film, all thou at this point I'm open for it to be made into any media, such as a video game, direct dvd cartoon (2D, 3D or both), tv show (live action or animated), etc...the possibilities are endless. That's without mentioning the franchise of action figures and merchandise.
It's been strategically design to reach every age, gender and race of society with the purpose of expanding the collective consciousness of humanity.
Unlike most of the current Hollywood films, Nova Star exposes the majority of the extraterrestrial beings as very spiritually advanced therefore benevolent. As our ancestors and creators.
The message of Nova Star to the world it's that spirituality it's the key to evolution.
