Visiting Israel MADE Me ‘Anti-Zionist,’ Says Holocaust Survivor

In this conversation, Mehdi Hasan sits down with Stephen Kapos – an 88-year-old British-Hungarian Holocaust survivor, who was forced to go into hiding at the age of seven, was separated from his mother and father, lost 15 members of his family to the Nazi concentration camps, and witnessed the total destruction of cities during the war. Today, Kapos has become one of the most vocal pro-Palestinian voices among Jewish Holocaust survivors. Mehdi also asks Kapos about those who have cited similarities between Donald Trump’s fascistic leadership in the US and Nazi Germany in the 1920s and 30s. Kapos says it’s “absolutely” a fair comparison. Watch the full interview where the two discuss Kapos’ experience as a Jewish, pro-Palestine activist, his rejection of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism, and why he will continue to fight for the children of Gaza. *This interview was published over a week ago on zeteo.com. Arrested for a T Shirt: How Far Will Authorities Go to Silence Dissent | The West Report by Michael West

How the Israel lobby perverted the justice system. Police have dropped all charges against the man arrested at Bondi Beach for wearing an anti-Israel T shirt. After a year of court dates, strict bail and public scrutiny, the case ends without conviction and without explanation. This episode asks what that means for free speech in Australia and why the process itself became the punishment.

Yes, a Bondi Royal Commission but ... | The West Report by Michael West

If there is to be a Royal Commission into the deadly Bondi Beach shootings, it must not presume blame. It must have broad terms of reference; not be concocted as a political stunt to attack Albanese, peace protestors, Muslims. Everything must be in scope - broad terms of reference and an independent Commissioner with credibility #auspol #israel #antisemitism

Pro-Palestine Jewish journalist ANTONY LOEWENSTEIN unpacks the Bondi ter...

Independent journalist Antony Loewenstein joins Jan Fran to discuss how he's processing the Bondi terror attacks both as a Jewish man and long-time advocate for Palestine. Antony and Jan move through the tension between allowing victims time to grieve and needing to challenge political agendas that seek to curb our civil liberties. Antony talks through what he believes is driving the rise in antisemitism, and why parts of the Jewish diaspora feel increasingly alienated from Israel. He also lays out why the crowd must keep speaking and moving, even when the powerful wish the masses would go silent.

Israel is Weaponising Australia's Tragedy by Friendly Jordies

In a time that should be for reflection and support Israel immediately took action to weaponise a tragedy.

Friendly Jordies

You won't believe what was said at this Tel Aviv Weapons conference by Michael West

Exclusive footage from inside an Israeli global defence tech conference reveals how war is being openly sold as a growth industry. Weapons executives and financiers discuss Gaza as a testing ground, the normalisation of mass killing, and the profits flowing from conflict, including Australian government links. This investigation follows the money behind the arms trade, from Gaza to Iran to the next great power war, and asks who really benefits while civilians pay the price. #China #auspol

EXCLUSIVE: Australian Jewish Journalist Exposes Israel's Weaponization of the Bondi Terr*ri$t Attack: Robert Inlakesh with Yaakov Aharon

In the aftermath of the Bondi Beach terr*ri$t attack targeting a Hanukkah gathering, public mourning was rapidly overtaken by political narratives that conflated antisemitism with criticism of Israel and fueled Islamophobic fear-mongering. In this interview with Palestine Chronicle' Robert Inlakesh, anti-Zionist Jewish journalist Yaakov Aharon reflects on the impact of the attack within Sydney’s Jewish community, the role of the Israeli government and its allies in shaping the public narrative, and the dangers of weaponizing antisemitism to silence pro-Palestinian voices. The discussion also highlights the heroic actions of Ahmed al-Ahmed, a Syrian Muslim father who intervened during the terr*ri$t attack and helped prevent further loss of life—challenging prevailing stereotypes and exposing the distortions that followed. 📚 Find Robert Inlakesh's feature about the interview here: https://www.palestinechronicle.com/an...

The Antony Loewenstein Podcast: My Comments on the Bondi Attack by Antony Lowenstein

Recorded less than 24 hours after the horrific massacre in Bondi, Sydney, this episode is a raw, urgent response to violence, fear, and the political weaponisation that has already followed. Speaking as a Jewish Australian, I reflect on grief, anger, and the dangers of conflating antisemitism with criticism of Israel. I unpack how pro-Palestine movements are being blamed without evidence, why knee-jerk calls for expanded police powers and immigration crackdowns should alarm us all, and how fear is being exploited to silence dissent.

Politicising a Terror Attack | Scam of the Week by Michael West

IDF security guards to roam the streets of Sydney? Criticism of Israel to be outlawed? Protests banned, media and universities monitored, the threat of defunding for antisemitism? This episode examines how the Bondi Beach attacks were rapidly politicised, before the facts were established and while families were still grieving. Instead of restraint, Australia witnessed an immediate rush to blame, agenda setting by foreign leaders, and a media cycle that prioritised outrage over evidence. We look at how the tragedy was leveraged to justify new crackdowns on protest, expanded surveillance, and policies that blur the line between combating antisemitism and restricting legitimate political speech. We examine the role of lobby groups, the adoption of the IHRA definition, and the implications for media freedom, public broadcasters, universities, and civil society.

How Israel Exploited the Bondi Beach Shooting to Attack Palestine by US Journalists Katie Halper joins Rania Khalek and Zoe Alexandra

In the immediate aftermath of the Bondi Beach mass shooting, Israeli officials rapidly moved to politicize the tragedy, with Netanyahu blaming it on Australia’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state earlier this year and Israeli foreign minister Gideon Sa'ar declaring it as a result of worldwide calls to “globalize the intifada.” Journalist Katie Halper joins Rania Khalek and Zoe Alexandra to dismantle these claims. She analyzes how the shooting has been weaponized to attack the pro-Palestine movement, arguing that equating anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism is not only inaccurate, but makes Jews less safe.

How the Bondi terror attack was reported by Antoinette Lattouf & Jan Fran

In this episode, Jan and Antoinette focus on the first 24-hours of media coverage of the antisemitic terrorist attack in Bondi that left 15 people dead. They examine how the story unfolded, which voices were given prominence, the role of social media in circulating original and often horrifying footage, and how easily misinformation spreads as well as how certain narratives take hold. It is a careful, unsparing look at how news is constructed and at politicised under pressure, and what is lost when speed overtakes care. The Bondi massacre and the right-wing backlash by the Party Line: Anneke Demanuele, Omar Sherrife & Jordan van den Lamb

Episode 13 - The Bondi massacre and the right-wing backlash The massacre in Bondi struck the heart of decent people across Australia. It was shocking to see the murder of 15 Jewish people by suspected gunmen with links to ISIS. This special episode was recorded in the first days after the event, and tries to unpack the first responses by the media, the ALP, LNP, Pauline Hanson and Bob Katter. In general, the horror of the attack has been amplified by the racist and anti-Palestinian response, which seeks to manipulate the tragedy for political ends. Benjamin Netanyahu’s absurd claim that Australia’s recognition of Palestinian statehood is somehow to blame was typical of this reactionary tidal wave. Also significant has been NSW Premier Chris Minn’s decision to rush through even more anti-protest laws under the guise of solidarity with the Jewish community.

The Government is using a tragedy to crack down on free speech | The West Report by Michael West

In the aftermath of the Bondi massacre, Australian governments are moving fast. Too fast, and in the wrong direction. Before investigations are complete, before facts have settled, political leaders and sections of the media are already using the tragedy to justify sweeping crackdowns on peaceful protest and political dissent. We examine threats against Jewish peace activists, the failure of police responses, the push to expand the IHRA definition of antisemitism, and the growing pressure on Albanese to adopt measures that could reshape public debate across universities, media, arts organisations and civil society. Gun laws saved lives in the wake of the Port Arthur massacre. Curtailing free speech will not.

The Party Line on Venezuela, US Imperialism and Stupol with

Big news this week: Anneke has been adopted! By her big sister that is. We discuss all that before moving on to headlines, including what the Annika Wells expense scandal reveals about the culture of entitlement that runs through Parliament. The main breaking story that was unfolding as we were recording was the US hijacking of a Venezuelan oil tanker, which follows months of deadly strikes on boats that have killed nearly 100 civilians. This leads on to a chat about Trump’s new National Security Strategy, which declares his intent to see the US engage in aggressive operations throughout Latin America to reassert US hegemony over the ‘western hemisphere’, while also promoting the great replacement theory and other fascist ideas and organisations throughout Europe. We wrap up with some goss from the National Union of Students National Conference in Ballarat, which saw Labor Party members try (and fail) to lock out socialist party members from national office. ‘Good Muslim, Bad Muslim’ by Mehdi Hasan and Prem Thakker

Mehdi and Prem unpack the Australia Terror Attack. The perpetrators behind the horrific, antisemitic shooting at Australia’s Bondi Beach turned out to be Muslim – but, in a twist, so was the heroic man who tackled one of the shooters from behind. Mehdi Hasan and Prem Thakker break down the violence, the political fallout, and more of the week’s biggest stories during Zeteo’s livestreamed, audience-led Q&A. “We shouldn't have to be heroes. Those of us who are Muslims living in the West shouldn't have to disarm a gunman in order for people to say, ‘Well, actually, Muslims, they're good people,’” says Mehdi. “Our citizenship, our presence should not be conditional. We should belong because we belong.” Watch the full video above to hear Prem and Mehdi also discuss: The shooting at Brown University, and the US’s failure to curb gun violence Benjamin Netanyahu’s blaming the beach massacre on Australia’s recognition of a Palestinian state Erika Kirk’s Bari Weiss-moderated CBS town hall: “This is MAGA's new media channel.” Donald Trump’s deranged reaction to Rob Reiner’s death War with Venezuela?

Israel Weaponises Bondi Beach Atrocity - ALL Violence Must Be Opposed by Owen Jones

'After the nauseiating, horrifying anti-semitic attack on Jewish Australians as they celebrated Hanukkah together, full of joy and happiness on Bondi Beach at Sydney in Australia. I didn't want to talk about Israel and its ongoing genocide against the Palestinianpeople. Unfortunately, Israel and its cheerleaders have decided otherwise. They have decided to turn this hideous attack into an opportunity to justify genocide against the Palestinian people and to shut down those who oppose that genocide and in fact to demonize anyone who in the mildest possible way supports national self-determination for the Palestinian people. Here's what I wanted to talk about. What I want to talk about is the very real evil of antisemitism which is a hatred which within living memory culminated in the the shower the Holocaust the industrialized extermination of the Jewish people in Europe killing 6 million two-thirds of Europe Jewish population in a very short period of time as well as obviously the antisemitism which has existed long before that and then long after that predating Israel and its foundation and the way it's rising.

Now, you know, I want to talk about the responsibility that we all have, not least, well, well, sorry, when I say not least, I say not least on the left because we have a consistent view about justice and equality, but a responsibility to ensure that those in the Jewish diaspora feel safe and secure, that they feel that they don't have to, you know, flee for their lives as their ancestors did when things suddenly turn against them in the country which is their hope. You know what I want to talk about is unity against hatred. How all of us whatever communities need to come together and stand against anti-semitism and those who wish to hurt and murder Jewish people.

I want to talk about the the horror on that iconic beach as Jewish Australians gathered for the start of Hanukkah eating donuts, celebrating, listening to music. That one of the victims was a little 10-year-old girl, another a survivor of the Holocaust. The horror of watching a day of joy end with people running for their lives as two gunmen indiscriminately fired into a crowd of Jewish Australians. I want to talk about how no cause on earth ever justifies murdering unarmed civilians. That whatever is going through the minds of these terrorists, the only cause underpinning what they did is hatred. And the only cause that they advance is hatred. I want to talk about Ahmed Al Ahmed, the Syrian born Muslim bystander who risked his life and was seriously injured as he wrestled one of the attackers and saved the lives of several others who could have been murdered with the gun that he rested from his grip.......'

Taking Advantage of A national Tragedy | The West Report by Michael west

Who to blame for the Bondi Beach mass-shooting? Not Muslims, not Arabs, not peace protestors marching on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. It was the men who fired the bullets. In the aftermath of the Bondi attack, grief has quickly collided with misinformation and political point scoring. This episode examines what we know, what we do not yet know, and how tragedy is being used to inflame division before investigations are complete. We focus on responsibility, facts, and the real consequences of turning loss into a culture war.

Politicians' Expenses, Trumps Gold Card & the Tim Tam government bailout...

Flying cans of worms in Canberra, again. This week on Scam of the Week, we look at the expenses pile on, why Anika Wells became the headline, and the part the outrage merchants never say out loud, everyone’s in the trough, Labor, Liberals, Greens, just with different media friends. Then we zoom out, because while Canberra’s arguing over ski trips, Trump is spruiking “gold cards”, and Australia’s debating censorship, surveillance, and who really benefits when the rules get written by the loudest lobbyists. And for dessert, a “Tim Tam bailout”, where the government ends up propping up the notorious KKR private equity firm, because apparently Wall Street punters get a safety net too. We also dig into the under 16s social media ban, gambling ads, and the quiet second round of the media bargaining code, the one where big legacy media lines up for another subsidy.

Honest Government Ad | Social Media Ban

Look out for your young people as the social media ban comes into effect on Dec 10. We've pulled the rug out from under them and some will need help. So please talk to your kids and keep a caring eye out for the young people in your life e know many Australians, especially parents, support this ban. Their concern for their children on social media are valid (as parents ourselves, we share those concerns) and something absolutely needs to be done. But our kids deserve better than this; they deserve leaders who'll fight for them against industries that profit from their harm - and not just Big Tech, also the gambling and fossil-fuel industries. So let's keep pushing for reforms that do that; and which protect not just our kids but all of us, our societies and democracy. We can do this. But right now, the main message we want to get out is: look out for the young people in your life as the ban comes into effect. Links to sources and further reading in the video description.

Are Renewables Really Driving Energy Prices? | The West Report by Michael West

'Why are your energy bills so bloody high? Is it renewables, as the Coalition and fossil media claim? No. In this episode of The West Report, Michael follows the money through the entire grid, from generators to gentailers, to show that the real culprits are soaring coal and gas prices and corporate profiteering, not renewables. We pull live data from the national electricity market to show how cheap rooftop solar and utility solar really are compared with coal and gas, and why renewables are already making up around half the grid while your bill still keeps climbing. Michael breaks down how privatisation created layer after layer of middlemen, why AGL, Origin and EnergyAustralia are raking it in, and how both major parties have let fossil fuel donors write the rules.'

We then discuss Jordy’s invitation to attend am allegedly anticapitalist forum hosted by SBS (turns out, it wasn’t). We then discuss the disgraceful comments made by Zack Polanski in relation to migrant workers in the UK, and what it reveals about the limits of liberal anti-racism, before launching into a critique of Labor’s NDIS program and their plan to use AI to further dehumanise and disenfranchise people with disabilities, as well as the workers who support them. The main segment features Chloe Rafferty from Red Flag Radio, our smarter, more sophisticated elder sibling, who led us in a discussion about the current crisis in the Liberal Party, why Sussan Ley is not the answer, why the Teals are no better, and how the growth of the far right will impact Australian politics into the future.

We then interview Rising Tide community organiser Zack Schofield, who is one of the wonderful people that have just organised the People’s Blockade of Newcastle Coal Port. We discuss the history of the campaign, its demands and why it’s in workers interest to support the ending of the fossil fuel industry. We follow this up with a scathing look at Labor’s climate bill, in particular the Green’s decision to pass it barely amended, and what it says about the limits of the Greens’ parliamentary approach.

“Don’t kid yourself that it can’t happen here,” warns Kerry O’Brien

Kerry O’Brien spoke what has become the unspeakable truth about the World we are living in. He praised Palestinian journalists and mentioned the the G-Word genocide at this years Walkley’s Awards.

Well done, Keeza.

John/Togs Tognolini

‘’The point of what we've just watched is firstly to honour those of our colleagues beyond Australia who have suffered in far too many cases died trying to uphold a principle of their craft to expose the secrets that the abusers of power do not want the public to know. But the second purpose of that package is to provoke an honest appraisal of how that same fundamental principle is working in our own country on our own domestic beats.

First things first, it would be remiss of me not to refer specifically to theappalling and outrageous casualty list of Palestinian journalists and other media workers in Israel's war on Gaza. Since the brutal attacks by Hamas on Israeli citizens two years ago, having excluded med global independent global media access inside Gaza, leaving us all to rely on local journalists substantially to bear witness to the devastating effect of Israel's bombardment on the civilian population of Gaza and the famine that has accompanied it.

Israel has failed dismally to explain with any credibility why so many journalists have been killed. Importantly, what we should acknowledge tonight is the impact those journalists have had in return for their sacrifice.

They've confronted the world with powerful evidence that has gradually taken on the look and feel of genocide in real time in our living rooms as well as the corridors of the UN and its agencies. It is significantly due to the courage and stubborn determination of those journalists that no reasonable citizen of the world has been able to look away. They and their surviving colleagues have provided an irresistible clarity of truth that has profoundly influenced global public opinion to the point where even some close allies have been compelled to condemn the nature of Israel's ongoing war and declare their recognition of a state of Palestine.

On press freedom. Generally, in a world that is becoming more and more illiberal, including now the most powerful democracy of all, the message is becoming stark for our own country. When the president of the United States sits in the White House with the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, as he did a week ago, and seeks to dismiss the brutal murdur and probably dismemberment of Saudi journalist and Washington Post writer  Jamal Khashoggi by agents of the Saudi government as ‘things happen,’

things happen. And castigates the journalist who dares to ask the crown prince about it. It illuminates just how far the ground has shifted for journalism in the United States. All those massive lawsuits against mainstream media outlets Donald Trump regards as the enemy that are designed to intimidate against continuing to chronicle his alarming demolition job on the institutions that underpin democracy in America are testament to the clear and present danger for a strong, free, effective, and independent media everywhere. And don't kid yourself, it can't happen here……….’’

This is Trump's plan to steal Venezuela's oil by Ben Norton

Donald Trump admitted he wants to “take over” Venezuela and its oil. SBS Dateline Exclusive Interview with Christopher "Falcon" Boyce by Mark Davis

It was 11-11-1975. I was a sixteen year-old Trotskyist Socialist walking through the old Melbourne Post Office and stopped when I noticed a Remembrance Day Ceremony taking place in it with a couple of Naval Sailors, a floral reef being laid after he Last Post had been played for Australia’s war dead. There was the minute’s silence and after that I then went into Socialist Workers League/Socialist Youth Alliance office in Little Bourke. Then we heard that Whitlam was sacked and we would join the protests that erupted that day after his sacking. And I still remember Bob Hawke saying there was not going to be a General Strike over Whitlam’s Sacking. It was a bloodless Coup D’état by Australian Ruling Class, and US because he threatened the US Bases in particular Pine Gap. Fifty years I’m still angered over it. If you have doubts about the US role in it check Christopher Boyce’s and hear what he says about Hawke.

John/Togs Tognolini

In the 1970s, Christopher Boyce's name became inextricably linked with the political tensions of the time when he was jailed for selling classified US information to the KGB in the Soviet Union. The spy's story was also made famous by the movie, The Falcon and The Snowman, but in recent decades Boyce has been off the radar. Mark Davis tracks him down to the mountains of Oregon, where he's been living in virtual anonymity since his release from prison. In an explosive interview, Boyce recounts his time working for a CIA subsidiary that provided satellite equipment to the spy base at Pine Gap in central Australia. And he makes claims that during the time of Gough Whitlam's troubled government, the CIA was interfering in Australian politics and its trade unions. http://leaksource.wordpress.com/2014/...

Honest Government Ad | Selling Canada to MAGA oligarchs

This LNG project is cooked on so many levels. And not just because of it's deep connections to Trump and MAGA oligarchs. But I'll let the video do the explaining.

What I do want to highlight though, is that we in Australia are perfectly placed to warn Canadians about the dangers of investing in an LNG export industry. We went down this path years ago, and we still got shafted with higher energy prices and bugger-all royalties. But doing this in 2025, in the midst of a climate crisis, is just criminal.

And the fact that our very own Woodside Energy is involved in Ksi Lisims makes that point even clearer. So of course (spoiler alert) we had to have an Aussie/Woodside cameo.

Warning Canadians is only part of this HGA's objective, however: we also made it to support the Gitxsan and Gitanyow, whose territories (Lax'Yip) are in the pathway of the proposed PRGT pipeline that would feed fracked gas to Ksi Lisims.

First Nation peoples are often on the frontlines of the fight to protect clean land, air and water from extractivist industries. So supporting them isn't only important from a justice perspective, but also from a climate and environmental one.

And believe me, the Gitxsan and Gitanyow are going to be the biggest obstacle to building the PRGT pipeline. Such is their staunchness and determination to protect the Lax'Yip - one of the few parts of the world where you can still drink from clean rivers and see wild salmon.

It was truly inspiring to witness this when we where invited to attend the Peace and Unity summit on the Lax'Yip in August. (Here's my post about that trip, in case you missed it)So yeah... this HGA is our way of lending them a hand, by rainsing awarenss about this dodgy, MAGA-billionaire-owned project, in Canada. Where most people know nothing about it.

Hitler Was a Leftie? Peace Protesters Sprayed, Consultants Paid | Scam of the Week Out Michael West

This week on Scam of the Week, we’ve got a full buffet of political absurdity and corporate grift. One Nation’s Malcolm Roberts has officially jumped the shark, declaring that Hitler was a lefty. Yes, really. Meanwhile, Labor and the Liberals have joined forces once again to block an inquiry into AUKUS the biggest deal in Australian history — while quietly forming a secret Defence Oversight Committee with no cross-benchers allowed. Over in the private sector, Deloitte charged taxpayers $440,000 for an AI-generated report so riddled with fake laws, wrong judges, and phantom documents that it’d make RoboDebt blush. Their punishment? A $98,000 refund. And as if that wasn’t enough, peace protesters were pepper-sprayed in Sydney while NSW Premier Chris Minns wined and dined with the Israel lobby the next day. All that and more — from weapons expos to media silence — in this week’s Scam of the Week.

Chris Hedges - 'Palestine Betrayed' - RMIT Storey Hall Melbourne 17 October

It was a honour to film this talk from Chris Hedges on behalf of APAN @ RMIT on 17 Oct 2025 Bogan Intelligentsia

The ACCIDENTAL EMAIL LEAK that Exposed Australia's Gaza Playbook

It was meant to stay behind government walls, a private email from Canberra, carefully written for Labor MPs, outlining exactly how to talk about Gaza. But one staffer made a mistake. They sent it not to Parliament, but to a Palestinian advocacy group. Inside that email was the government’s full internal playbook on Gaza, how to answer difficult questions, what language to avoid, and how to present Australia’s position without revealing too much. Among the most revealing details was a quiet admission about Australia’s role in the supply chain for F-35 fighter jets — the same jets used in Israel’s bombing campaign over Gaza. T-Shirt Outrage and the Death of Real Journalism | Scam of the Week by Michael West

This week, the media lost its mind over a t-shirt. Anthony Albanese stepped off a plane wearing a Joy Division shirt — and suddenly, the Prime Minister was branded “anti-Semitic” by the Murdoch press and the Liberals. The outrage was instant, the headlines relentless, and the actual news? Forgotten. While the media obsessed over “T-Shirtgate,” the government is quietly handing out billions in corporate subsidies, foreign streaming giants are dodging local content laws, and the National Anti-Corruption Commission continued to do ... extremely little. Michael West breaks down how the outrage machine distracts from real scandals the ones costing Australians billions.

Venezuela by Jesse Welles

2500 miles away from the American border,

there's a boat humming along with a 100 miles worth of gas.

It's got some fisherman out there in it.

Little do they know but here in a minute they'll be sunk down to the bottom and

dead from an American blast.

Now our infallible intelligence knows a whole lot about them.

See, these are Narco Terrorists with drugs strapped to their back.

Now, it's the same intelligence that had the perfect wisdom in the real

good sense to know there's weapons of mass destruction hidden in Iraq.

Well, if your leader is a fugitive of American justice, and if your people need a

liberation from their own soil,

If you're a threat to our national security, well, we're probably just in

need of your oil.

How much fentanyl does Venezuela make? Well, Johnny, that's

about 0%.

See, China ships the precursors into Mexico. They mix them in

a lab, then they press them into pills and ship them up to Uncle Sam.

Oh, well then, how much cocaine does Venezuela produce?

Well, Johnny, that's a goose egg, too.

But don't you worry your little head, cuz they're all just going

to be like dead.

Some call it murder. Some call it justice. You can call it

whatever you like, but dry your liberal tears cuz you know around here we

call a presidentially authorized lethal kinetic strike.

Well, if it looks like al-Qaeda and smells like ISIS, you're headed down

the road for a refugee crisis.

Well, they can dangle the Nobel carrot out in front of the mule, but I

guess it wasn't orange enough to really pull the card.

Pete and Marco, come out of the closet and say you're coming on in for

that oil deposit.

The only war you'll ever end is the one you start.

Saffrine Duggan: Australia must not extradite my husband and father of s...

‘CN Live! talks to Saffrine Duggan, wife of the Australian pilot Dan Duggan, who will appear in the Federal Court of Australia this week in relation to an extradition request from the United States, which he is hoping to have overturned. His alleged offence centres around advanced flying lessons he gave at a South African flight academy in 2012 to foreign nationals, some of whom were Chinese. Dan used to be a US citizen and he was a pilot in the army until 2002. The secret Grand Jury indictment against him states that he didn’t obtain a licence from the US State Department to deliver the training. It also accuses him of being involved in the purchase of the school’s plane before he was hired, to give what amounted to 18 hours of lessons. The problem with the indictment is that Duggan ceased being a US citizen on Australia Day 2012, January 26th, which predates the flight lessons. Also, what he did was not a crime in Australia. Other Australians who delivered the same type of training have not been charged with anything. Duggan’s defence team will argue that the US has no sovereign control over him and that there is an absence of dual criminality. The problem with the process is that it is somewhat endless. Dan was arrested and placed in solitary confinement as a high risk prisoner three years ago. He not only has a wife but six children, who have had very little contact with him, contrary to Articles 3 and 9 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Dr Paul Anthony Bauert a practising paediatrician with over 40 years’ experience, and lifetime Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians has said he has ‘very serious concerns for Dan Duggan’s children’s physical and mental health. Each of the six children is exhibiting unmistakeable signs of stress and severe anxiety and is vulnerable to compounding ill-health.’ The stress and trauma suffered by the children, including recurring nightmares, is also detailed in commentary by Mr Duggan’s wife Saffrine in submissions direct to the Attorney. The Duggan family has suffered enormously, both emotionally and financially and we invite Saffrine to share their story.’

What has happened to Dan Duggan is a sycophancy to the US.

The REAL reason why Trump is attacking Latin America by Ben Norton's Geopolitical Economy Report

The Donald Trump administration seeks to forcibly impose the US empire's hegemony in Latin America, waging war on Venezuela, imposing sanctions on Colombia's President Gustavo Petro, hitting Brazil with tariffs, and meddling in Argentina's election. Ben Norton explains how Trump and Marco Rubio are trying to cut off all western hemisphere ties with China and Russia, bringing back the colonial Monroe Doctrine, now known as the Donroe Doctrine.

Chris Hedges: The Betrayal of Palestinian Journalists at NSW Teachers Federation auditorium in Sydney on October 20

This is the speech Chris Hedges was supposed to deliver at Australia's National Press Club, live to the nation on ABC, the country's national broadcaster. Despite written confirmation the club cancelled the talk, reportedly citing an interest in “balancing out our program”, after learning more about what he was going to say. Hedges claims he was told by a reliable source that the club had then reached out to Israeli Ambassador.

Read what he wrote in response. https://consortiumnews.com/2025/10/03...

The speech was instead delivered to a full house at the Teachers Federation auditorium in Sydney on October 20. The event was chaired by Sara Saleh, a Palestinian writer & race critical human rights lawyer. It was sponsored by the journalists' union MEAA, PEN Sydney and the magazine Pearls and Irritations. It was organised by Stop the War on Palestine and Palestine Justice Movement.

No King: Trump Faces Historic, Peaceful Protests All Over the US-Zeteo

Click on link underline to watch the video. No time to watch all the coverage of the ‘No Kings’ rallies? Zeteo teams have you covered on the ground in Chicago and DC.

Millions of Americans attended thousands of “No Kings” events across the United States on Saturday to protest Donald Trump’s increasingly authoritarian presidency. It was one of the largest single-day protests in US history and came amid Trump’s brutal immigration raids and efforts to militarily occupy cities such as Chicago, Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.

Republicans may have inadvertently juiced turnout by constantly complaining and hysterically lying about the anti-Trump protests in recent days. House Speaker Mike Johnson kept calling the events the “Hate America rally.” Trump Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the No Kings events were “part of antifa,” the disparate anti-fascist movement that Trump wants to eliminate. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the events would feature the “the farthest left” and “the most unhinged in the Democratic Party.”

Conservative Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley claimed, with zero basis, that the No Kings rallies would be violent and that its funders should thus be investigated and prosecuted. Senior sources within the Trump administration told Zeteo that federal agencies would be monitoring the No Kings protests throughout the country, including the Hands Off Chicago marches, for any signs of what they called “domestic terrorism” or violent “extremism” that they could use as part of their efforts to clamp down on liberal non-profits and donors.

As you can see in the video above, at the huge Chicago rally that Zeteo’s Asawin Suebsaeng covered, there was no sign of any vast parade of antifa radicals or “terrorist” sympathizers that Republicans claimed would materialize this weekend. The multiple Chicago-area events instead represented the exact type of demonstration of solidarity and outrage that Team Trump wants Americans to believe isn’t possible: massive crowds of diverse and peaceful protesters nonviolently opposing Trump, standing against his federal shows of force against US cities.

An estimated 200,000 people turned out for the No Kings event in DC – where Zeteo’s editor-in-chief, Mehdi Hasan, spoke to the crowd. The event was safe and orderly, and felt like a parade or rally rather than a disruption. Protesters who spoke with Zeteo’s Prem Thakker expressed anger about Trump’s masked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) thugs kidnapping immigrants and citizens alike. Attendees were also concerned about Trump’s attacks on free speech as well as Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Watch the video below:

Progressive Senator Bernie Sanders spoke at the DC event and warned that Trump is putting US democracy in danger with his attacks on immigrants, free speech, and the media. He spoke out against Trump’s efforts to consolidate “more and more power in his own hands and in the hands of his fellow oligarchs.”

Wannabe King?

The first round of No Kings protests took place in June, when Trump hosted his military birthday parade in DC. An estimated five million people attended those No Kings events, in what was one of the largest days of protest in US history. Organizers expected a similar number of people or even more would turn out this weekend. Indivisible, a group involved in the planning, announced that nearly seven million people attended the No Kings events on Saturday, calling it “the biggest single-day protest against tyranny in American history.”

The point of the No Kings protests, according to its organizers, is to show that “America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people.” The name wasn’t plucked from thin air: Trump’s White House previously described the president as “the king” on social media. (Trump also recently claimed that “a lot” of Americans would “like a dictator.

In the lead-up to the No Kings rallies, Trump tried to downplay the idea he sees himself as a king. “They’re referring to me as a king. I’m not a king,” he said in a Fox News interview clip released on Friday.

During the No Kings rallies on Saturday, however, Trump’s political team repeatedly posted images on X showing the president wearing a crown, and also posted an AI-generated video with Trump dressed in a monarch’s robes while standing at the White House.

Vice President J.D. Vance and Trump’s “crypto czar” David Sacks both shared an AI video showing Trump putting on a crown and robes and wielding a sword, and Democratic lawmakers bowing to him. Around 9:30 p.m. ET, Trump shared the video on Truth Social. It seems he is now openly fantasizing about being a king.

Team Trump may want Trump to be a king. The president may think his supporters want him to be a dictator. On Saturday, millions of Americans stood together to say: No Kings.

As Prem noted at the DC rally, if the sprawling crowd was filled with Marxists and antifa, as Speaker Johnson claimed, that means “the Republican Party is in a bit of hot water.”
