LKT Farewell

First off, I WILL blog about the graduation itself, but I want to do this one first lol.

After the graduation, the seniors were treated to a super karaoke session at redbox, sunway pyramid. There were about.... 17-20 people? maybe less. More juniors than seniors lol.

After grad ceremony -> dally around for abit -> change -> dilly some -> take a bus.
Thanks to us, the bus was held up for like 5 mins, cause everyone was fussing over the bus ticket pricing :p change so fast for what? XD

When we got there, everyone was still kinda fuzzy, bumbling around abit. Eventually, we split up; some went to Kim Gary's and some went for fast food. Guess which [!@#$]case suggested Kim Gary's lol. I'm not allowed to call her [!@#$] for 2 days, 'cause she lent me her phone to call, mine expired xp. Anyway, spent another 20 minutes deciding on food =__= Liying and her cheese baked rice blahs.
Liying on my left, Ken Wei (later Alfie) on my right, had a looong lunch. New discovery: French toast at those hk-restaurants are super nice. (kudos to Alfie, HK toast connoisseur.)
Yin Nang so damn yeng, he went to the toilet, then he called Ken Wei,
"I want #50. "
We were like.. wtf!??! So Keong?! Ceh, he saw it beforehand. BUT STILL, that was wicked lol.
Liying called back,
"Pick a, b or c. "
"ha? ni jiang shen me?" (or something like that, perfectly predicted. )
XD
Munch munch munch pay pay pay plod plod plod.
Then waited at the redbox lounge for a loooooooOoOOOOooooOoOOOOooOOoOooong time.
Then... went into a SUPER HUGE karaoke room! Whoaaaa wth?! got PS2 punya, but rosak.
3 mikes... everyone singing frenzy hahaha.

Okay, you guys, it WAS a BIIIIT cacat for the first half... me and some of the other seniors, we didn't really sing, because we:
1. Don't know many chinese songs.
2. Don't sing much, especially chinese songs.
3. Can't read the lyrics fast enough/Can't read the lyrics at all.

But.. it was still fun! So funny. Yin Nang tapau the room hahaha.
Then.. slowly, everyone's diffusing to who-knows-where, only juniors remaining were Edmund, Yuan Ning and Girl-Who-Can-Sing-Super-Damn-Freaking-Well. Then only Edmund. Then just us seniors.
We SANG LIKE NO TOMORROW~~~~~~~~~ Picked the graduation songs and nyanyi sampai past the time limit, but something buggy so we could sing another half hour or so hahaha. So fun.
After that, we went for dinner... me, Liying, Yet Han, Alfie, Wei Khai, Yin Nang.
Yin Nang forgot something so we went to watch the balding-pianist-dude. Wow he's gooood.
Sorry guys, for making you wait so long! He wouldn't stop lol! (I wouldn't have minded just standing there for the whole day hehheh)
Sorry sorry, Paiseh!

Then... Manhattan Fish Market. Lol! Senior-bonding time! Haha.

Now the emo-nising part.
Hmmm I really wish I had gotten to know all you LKT better; it was really fun!
Don't judge a book by it's cover; Some people turned out totally different from what I thought of them! (And likewise, for them, of me.)
Alfie isn't the super serious strict studious secretary I thought he was! Freaking fun fella.
(Aliterasi, anyone?)
And
Yin Nang is surprisingly... hehe. XDXD not saying lol.

So sad, sitting there eating.
"This is the last outing. "
"We're never gonna do anything like this again. "
"Nice to meet you. Goodbye. "

And such.
Think about this, you all;
From now till SPM - no more fun... (for most of you :p)
SPM - Duh no fun.
After SPM - Too much fun. Packed schedule. Trips, outings, visits, holidays, family, etc etc, who has time for LKT? Not gonna be a reason to gather and party again lol.
And so, everyone left with heavy hearts and deep regrets of not knowing each other better.
The fish was good though lol.

That was.. the first and the last.
Viva La LKT! Goodbye and good luck to everyone!

*BTW my cam was bloody OUTTA BATTS so there. *

I'm going to get my answers on Time Dilation.
*that last line from Victor lol.

Now don't get me wrong, Brother John's one of The Best teachers I've ever had. Even though he's always busy working for the school and other stuff, he never fails to answer any questions we have on physics, given the time.
With that said, you've got to admit, he's pretty elusive.
Hope no one takes this the wrong way lol.

What I've Been Up To Lately.

1. Angela Aki. Heard her a bunch when I was in Japan... I think she kinda overdoes the emotion when she's flailing about on the piano, but other than that she's fantastic!

Now, let this load, and play it, and do something else while playing cause the video isn't worth watching; melt in her lovely voice and wondrous accompaniment on the piano :)

Better than Faye Wong's version! Except for one of the 'Darling's - she 'daling'-ed it. Sad how they can't pronouce the 'R's well.
Fantastic singing anyhow.

"This Love"

Another good one, "Home".

2. Prince of Tennis.
I've been reading PoT. Omg I've caught up to the latest chapters! 360 only mah. Don't know how anyone can write 360 chapters about tennis and still make it.. sooo... goooood... gah. Update faster.
Ah well, reading it's better than smoking it anyway =_="

3. Some piano-ing...
Yoko Kanno's "Piano Solo",
George Winston's rendition of "Canon in D"
and my own version of "Eyes on Me".

4. Fixing my damn circuitboard.
5. Not Studying. Will fix that.
6. Shedding =_=" Stupid sunburn.

Peering through the mist,
under the moonlit heavens.
Listening,
in between the notes -
for a whisper,
for solace.

The maestro's bow steady;
tremolo echoes through the dark.
louder and louder,
A slight tug;
An almost gentle pull;
a fanfare of emotion!

All in the mind of a dreamer,
gathering the stars in the night sky,
to my chagrin.

Ah well, nothing much to blog about... as usual. Too lazy to change templates like Some People (free advertising for ye!). Everything's already been ranted about. Not up for some youtube vids like Some Other People.
Heck, just go to my "links" sidebar and clicky everything =_=
Well you guys are probably just from there anyways.

Hmm... My grand scheme to put together a timer-circuit, wire it to a camera and tie the cam to my RC-helicopter has to be put on hiatus for a while.
1. Soldered everything the WRONG DIRECTION. Stupid new-type circuitboards.
2. Just happened to smash and splinter the helicopter into the CHS sports centre during a test flight on Wednesday ... .... .. :D

...time to get a kite.

Oh yeah, I'm going to Thailand next month, to sit for the SAT's, because the test centres in Malaysia and Singapore are full for the Chinese Subject Test.

Ohhh yeaaaah, Chinese ;p

20th October 2007:
Went for the INTI frisbee open! CHS is the youngest team, AGAIN. Every time, in fact.
They were playing music on some huge speakers throughout the day lol, so fun XD

Well, we won the first round, against the Pirates, a buncha Alice Smith gwei lou teens with pirate bandanas. Mat and Rob from the Flying Naans helped them, so yeahhhhh they were good.
Oh yeah, Mat and Rob, seen them hammer backwards half a field, and Rob's like a mini-Jordan or something, so marking him is kinda ridiculous. (This crap will only make sense to a few people ahahaa. )

Lost the next match, sadly, against... some random team which made it to the finals, where they were... humbled, by the Naans.

Third match. The Pirates (whom we beat 7-3) beat them 8-0. We lost 7-4.
WTF?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?!!?!??!??!??!! is all i have to say to that.

Well it was supposed to be a block-win-loss-tie-point-county-thing, but there were some mess-ups with the admin and we played a knockout, from the start -_-

Lost the first match of knockout, which we woulda Really won, because everyone was so de-semangated. Sadsad.

Everyone's somewhat injured by now, lotsa blisters and sprains, but... kept playing.

Oh yeah, we only had 10 players, so that's 4 subs (frisbee we sub every round, so everyone plays lots!).
Other teams had at least 15 players =_= so we were all super dead tired.

Fifth match (loser bracket, still quite good), we beat them flat! Poor inti team @_@

Sixth. Everyone's Totally dead; wei jiat just couldn't move anymore due to some superdeep blister (you wuss =_=), we only had 2 girls so they didn't get much rest (the teams set the guys:girls ratio so that it's a fair match), and they had so many subs blah. Sixth was against the Pirates again. We lost by just abit. Subs! More peeps needed, please contact me at 012-..... tagboard.

Kay there's more but i'm not going into detail, let's just say it was kinda cacat. Both teams (next match-es) just wanted to end it and go shower, simply playing. Sorta. Not really. Ah well.

Soooo we ended up sixth, not so bad! I'm writing a speech to promote the club and give out the certs come tuesday!!! So YOU ALL HAD BETTER BE PRESENT.

Fun Fact: The game of "Ultimate" has been demonstrated to require a higher cardiovascular fitness level than any other field game.

Ah well. Byebye. 9 hours of frisbee is dead tiring. Dead tiring. Byebye.

Bryan's Musical Pick of the Post.. Maaya Sakamoto. CLICKY!

I Hate Malaysians.
Actually, probably just diverting the hatred away from myself. So careless. Not that I don't take care of my phone. My phone is... an extension of my body. Right hand has a port for my phone to sit on, can be used for a mouse too.

Reader's Digest Magazine did a 'survey' of sorts. They went to a buncha countries, and left moderately-priced mobile phones in malls and places. The country with the highest rate of return (97% omg!) was some unknown, third world country. Malaysia... almost last. 30-40%.
Despicable. A bit shameful y'know.

It's probably the first thing I've ever lost, as in, first big thing (Wallet phone IC etc).
AND IT'S MY BEST PHONE EVER.

I really hope the fuckface who took it actually needs the money to survive and Isn't some crackhead or something -_-

Everywhere I look, my phone was once there, next to keyboard, atop the piles of gunk in my room, in the clearings between the piles of gunk in my room, on my bed... and every time i think of music or internet i think of my phone and feel so guilty.

RM2800, 200 contacts, 3000 points of misery.

I'm sorry dad, not that you'll ever read this page, but still. I know you didn't even get yourself such a phone, and wanted to let me have something truly magnificent, and .. I just screwed it. Sorry.

Why can't we be more considerate.

Why can't everyone just have more heart.

Some random things.

A. Random Physics Things. You may skip to "B. "
1. Solar Sails.
Y'know solar wind? Aurora, northern lights hmhmm? Well turns out they've got *theoretically functioning* designs for "solar sails", for space-travel. Kinda cool huh?

But they aren't powered by solar wind, as romantic as that sounds. They're powered by light pressure lol, the pressure exerted by photons hitting the sail. Still kinda cool XD
Left: What a real one's supposed to look like.
Right: Plucked from Star Wars.

2. Turns out that what they taught us about airplanes and wings and Bernoulli isn't really correct; the Bernoulli effect far from provides sufficient lift to make the plane fly x(
It's the vertical component of air rushing downwards.
Clicky if you're REALLY bored.. or a nerd like meh.

3. Same goes for "the sky is blue because it reflects the sea. ", Totally wrong. Clicky.

4. Facts and Theories:
When I release a ball in the air, it falls due to the fact of gravity.
When I see the skeleton of something similar to something else, it is due to the fact of evolution.
On the other hand,
the Theory of Gravity tells me that if I were to release a similar ball in the air, it would accelerate at 9.2ms^-2 towards the Earth's core, provided there's no ground to hit first, and
the Theory of Evolution tells me that a species will change to cope with a changing environment.
Just some interesting notions.

5. Dogs don't lick you to show affection. Dogs like salt.

B. Woo Shen is pretty smart sometimes, asking me for something about classical music:

Eat Shit.

C. Small Pet Peeve:

I'm sure you've all heard the "Humans only use 10% of their brain" thing, right?

For the last Froogling time, IT ISN'T TRUE.
Y'know, if we only use 10%, I'd like to see the 90% that you aren't using. Roast it, why don'tcha. And why is it that everyone believes it so fervently -_- Ya SHEEP. Baa.

Worse yet, the story is that Einstein was the one who said it. It's even published in some guy's Einstein-biography. My aunt's quoting it, and it's kinda annoying lol.
FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE DON'T BE FOOLED, FAKE.

D. I'll update something that's actually INTERESTING one of these days -_- shush.
