I totally butchered my piece! La Campanella~~ forgive mee~~~
I could've done way batter.
Damn! Wurst part is, right now, I can suddenly play souper freaking well. Ahhhh~~

The piano there had 2 big problems:
1. 4 or 5 keys were stock. Press down, won't rise half the time.
2. No dynamic variation whatsoever! Not crisp at all..

Stuuuupid. I was the one who asked them to change the venue to the lecture hall. Last time i tried that piano, it was fine. What i knead now is a good, swift kick to the behind -_-" (there's a limit to puns; 'nuts' is past that limit.)
Ah well. that's the way the cookie crumbles?

The others played really nicely x.x
Yan Liang and Kam Hin.. Dairy-ly went all out this time, i'm kinda scared.
Strangely enough, except me, no-one condimented or braised anyone else on their pieces. I guess they were all too worried about their own results.

Kah Kiat and Sze Ying did tenor and soprano respectively, KK did some german ditty whilst Sze Ying did something from Phantom of the Opera. Some form 6 prefect really spiced up the mood with his clarinet: Flight of the Bumblebee, walaoweh, geng!
Jung Hao: "he PJ youth concert master, CHS conductor + concert master, Guest Player at PJ PHilharmonic orchestra + ( i think he oso performed in MPO once)"

My thanks to shorty who showed up (al-dough she was late, better than never :D) and was desserted by everyone else : P

I'm here to rant about YMM! She's mean, vitriolic, malicious, malevolent, spiteful, despicable, vicious, vile, crabby, low, grumpy, malignant, loathsome, evil, ignoble, sordid squalid.... and blah + bleh.

Lazy to think la, those mean words already took some vicious brain-racking. (adds "vicious")

Yesterday was the auditions for the yet unnamed, end of the year concert. (Contradiction?) Our drama group.. passed! We just did a little bit.. and Mr. William asked us to stop and he let us through!

My piano audition didn't go so well. We used the clavinova in the choir room. It was the first time any of us (me and the other candidates) played one --- BAD. From first appearance, it was ostensibly a normal pianoforte.

Wroooooooooooooooooooooooong.

Firstly, the bloody keys were really freaking light, it's like hitting air when playing that damned thing. Secondly, the stupid volume was preset at max when we arrived, and we didn't realise it. Coupled with the stupid air-keys, this made everything REALLY FREAKING LOUD.

It wasn't so bad for Yan Liang's "Melodies of Life", that's a soft song that isn't very fast. Terrence's "Fantaisie" and Kam Hin's "Valse" were more concentrated on the midrange, so it was okay for them too. ON THE OTHER HAND, my "La Campanella" highly depends on the right hand, especially at the high ends! Crappit. I became so unnerved cause of the instrument that I messed up a lot. Some guy was covering his ears when I got to the trill, it was really shrill..

After that I was pretty loooow, I nearly cried @_@ Sorry guys for the whining ^^" Some time later I just went over to Mr. William in the staffroom and asked him of the results. Turns out...

^_^ I PASSED!!!!!!! ^_^

Guess William is more a connoisseur of the arts than I thought he was ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ ^^ (yes that's kinda lansi, but, oh well.)

BUT. We've all got to attend the 2nd audition, next Wednesday... NO NEED STUDY AH!?
Ah well, most of you knew this already, but I still want to blog about it. Suang ah.
