Football

Todd decided to play football again. He made it as far as the first game not playing and the day after the first game he calls me up and tells me he wants to play football:) I knew he wouldn't last very long. This year he decided to go back and play for the Bulldawgs. Which I am so glad that he did. There was so much less drama and fighting. It was actually fun to watch again. He had a great time playing. He only got to play in four games because of his work schedule. I am grateful that I get to go watch him and support him in the things that he loves to do. He was #42 this year..

Crafting

I have really been in a crafting mood lately.. They always seem to come in spurts for me. I do really good for awhile and then I seem to get burnt out. But when we moved I just kind of put things up on the walls and called it good but lately I have really wanted to get our home more organized.. So here are just a few things that I have done this past week..

Summer fun

I am so glad that summer is finally here, or I guess I should say almost here. Hasn't been as warm as I would like it to be. But we have taken full advantage of the warm weather that we have had. I have been trying to walk every night and there has been some very beautiful sunsets and evenings here in Malta lately, I love summer time in Malta. One day it was even nice enough to get the swimming pool out for the girls and it was so hard to get them out of the pool to eat lunch and take a nap!! After I am done babysitting its always a treat and surprise to get on my phone and see what kind of pictures Madison has taken that day.. There have been many times I am very shocked lol:) I am hoping that the warm weather is here to stay for awhile I'm ready for summer and many more nights of roasting marshmallows.

Planting grass

When we bought our house there was and still is a lot of things that we are wanting to do. We have done some of the stuff but still have a lot to go. I love working outside in the yard. I think landscaping is a big part of how your home looks. So this year Todd and I decided to plant some more grass. I didn't get very many pictures of Todd working the ground cause I had to sneak my camera out. But we planted this little patch here and then some more out in the front of our home. It is starting to come in already I am excited to see how this little project turns out.

Shoshone falls

A couple of Sundays ago we all went to Shoshone Falls and had a picnic.. I love being able to get together with my family and just enjoying the warm weather and just playing games and relaxing. I love my family so much and am so grateful for them.

Trip to Nevada

I don't think I have gone this long without blogging before. This winter we decided to paint our bedroom. I was wanting to do browns in our room. But right before Christmas we found a gray and yellow bed set so we decided to paint the walls gray.. I really like how it turned out. Now just need to get new flooring and decorate it:)
Then in April I went down to Nevada with Todd. I had planned on going down there when he started his job but I never have until now. I was there for four days and it was a very long four days. I loved being there with Todd but man Crescent Valley is boring. There is nothing there. The third day I was there I drove back to Elko and had Lunch with one of my friends from High School. It was a lot of fun to get to see her again.

Hold on the Light will Come

Today was a good day in Relief Society.. Our lesson was about trials. I am not good about dealing with trials, I never have been. I know that The Lord never gives us more than we can handle and that he is always there to lighten our load and help us through everything that he places before us. And we learn and grow so much from the things that we go through here on earth. I love this song that our teacher played for us today. This isn't the exact video she showed but its the same song. This song has  always been a constant reminder to me when I am feeling so lost and feeling like there is no way to keep going, that there is always a way and that things will get better. That our Heavenly Father has a plan for us and that we are never alone.. We must always keep going, holding on to the things we know to be true. Hold on the light will come. Our Father in Heaven knows our pains, our sorrows, our deepest desires. He knows what we long to have and know. Just hold on he will come and take our hand!!!
