Kane's Kove

Oh my gosh this was such a fun day. There is a place over by Rupert called Kane's Kove and you go to his place and he takes you out by the Minidoka Dam in this freakin sweet hippie van where you get into the river on these Kayak's and float the river back to his place. It is so relaxing and a lot of fun to be out on the river. We went with all my mom's sisters and their daughters. IT WAS AN ADVENTURE!! You can go at whatever pace you want to and there are places where you can pull over and play in the river. It was just so peaceful and enjoyable being out on the river like that. That is until the storm moved in:) We knew there was a good chance of rain the day we went out but we decided to take our chances. We made it about half way and then the storm hit and when I say the storm hit I mean the storm hit I have never seen it rain like that before it was complete craziness. We made it to the side of the river before the storm hit and was able to get the Kayak's out of the water and then we took shelter under some tree's till Captain Ron came and rescued us. He told us when he dropped us off that he always monitors the weather and if it gets too bad then he will bring his pontoon out and rescue us. So there we sat under these tree's waiting for Captain Ron.. What seemed liked forever for him to get there he finally arrived. And let me tell you what his pontoon was priceless I bet the fastest it could go was maybe 10mph if that. We could hardly see him coming cause it was raining so bad. And to top it all off his pontoon was named "THE NAKED  PARROT"!!! PRICELESS..  We had to hang out on the pontoon for I bet at least 45 minutes till the rain let up enough for us to head back to the Kove.. I have never seen it rain so hard like it did that day and the lightning was hitting all around us. It was such a fun adventure a time that I will never forget. I can not wait till we can go back. Our captain, "CAPTAIN RON" was one of a kind he was a true surfer dude!! The whole experience is one of a kind starting with Captain Ron, then the awesome van ride out to where you get into the river, to the relaxing time of floating the river, to "THE NAKED PARROT that came to our rescue. Ron has an amazing little place along the river a little paradise in good ole Southern Idaho..  I would totally recommend this fun little trip to anyone!!

Sleep Over!!

Lindsay always works on Wednesday's at Cattle Country and I get to watch the girls for her. Well this week she had to work on Thursday as well so she just stayed the night at my parents house so she didn't have to travel so much. So we decided that we were going to sleep out on my parents trampoline Wednesday night. We got everything all set up and ready to go and we finally headed out to go to sleep around 10:45.. Lindsay, Madison, Abbey and I were the ones who were sleeping out. I was a little worried about how Abbey was going to do but she just curled up under the blankets and went to sleep. Madison on the other hand was a little terror:) She was having so much fun just playing and jumping on the tramp. She did not want to go to sleep at all. After being out there for what seems like forever I finally got Madison to come lay down by me. I figured that maybe if I pretended I was sleeping then she would go to sleep so I just closed my eyes and layed there for I swear a long time and I decided to open my eyes to see if she was asleep yet and there she was wide awake just starring straight at me:) Lol I couldn't help but start laughing I love this little girl so much.. We decided to cut the sleep over short after being out there for only a little over an hour there was lightning that had moved into the valley and Madison wasn't falling asleep. It was still a lot of fun while it lasted. We definitely laughed pretty hard.. Thank you Lindsay and Madison for a good time on the tramp..

Happy Birthday America!!

This year for the Fourth of July we decided to do something different. My mom rented a house over in Lava Hot Springs. We left Malta on the 3rd and we stayed in Lava till the 5th. It was a lot of fun. Our little house that we rented worked out so nicely. It was about a block and a half from the pool and from downtown. So we were able to walk every where. We didn't do alot the night of the 3rd just walked around town and then hung out at the house. Then on the Fourth we went swimming in the morning till about two and then we headed back to the house to eat lunch. We hung out there for awhile while some of us got a little nap in and then we headed to go float the river. Floating the river was so much fun. Poor Todd lost his brand new hat his first trip down the river, we had just bought in poky before heading to Lava. After we floated the river we headed back to the house to BBQ some hamburgers. And then a little later on we went and soaked in the Hot pools. Yes is does seem like we were in the water all day long and I LOVED IT!!! We were able to watch the fireworks for our little house. And yes our cute little ABBEY had to have a 4th of July outfit:) she was so cute.. It was so much fun to get away for a couple of days. It went by way too fast though I wish we could have stayed a few more days. The firework show had a few little bumps. They had originally canceled the fireworks cause they were afraid of fires but they got enough volunteers to help out. For their grand finale they usually set off these fireworks that look like lava flowing over the cliff but some how in the middle of the show there was a flame that set the lava fireworks off. And then it caused some little fires all over. So then they were more concerned about the fires so they would set a firework off here and there so there really was never a big finale at the end:) But it was still fun to watch. I had so much fun and I really hope we can go back soon.

Out on the River!!

Chase's parents bought a boat earlier this summer and we were lucky enough to get to go out with Chase and Lindsay this last week. I love being in the water if I could live in the water I would. It was so much fun to hang out with my family and enjoy some time on the river. Thank you so much Lindsay and Chase for letting us tag along..

Todd's New Toy

My Aunt and Uncle had this old riding lawn mower just sitting at their place and they wanted to get rid of it. So they asked Todd and I if we wanted it and of course we took it. It is perfect to mow down all the weeds around our house. It has been like Christmas morning for Todd ever since he got this. It is funny how something so simple can entertain him for so long:)
