Fun Times in the Snow!

A little over a week old and Sarah was able to experience her first snow. She didn't really seem to care so much she just wanted to eat and sleep. Kiera LOVED the cold weather and playing in the snow. I have a feeling that we are going to lose her and Todd to one of those yucky northern states that have alot of snow. Dylan, like me, did NOT enjoy the snow, it was too cold. I think Dylan and I will be moving further south where it doesn't snow. Then the next week we got an even bigger snow fall. Friends came over and we all played outside especially Todd and Matt. After over a week of being cooped up in the house, I was no longer entertaining so they decided to play in the bath tub while completely dressed. They crack me up!

She loves the cold! She is SO weird.

Sarah's first view of snow, not really interested.

Aren't we cute?!?

Boys will be boys!

Sarah Grace is here!

As most of you know, via Facebook updates and pictures, Sarah Grace King entered the world December 29th at 12:34. She weighed 7 lbs 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. When they first lifted her over the sheet and I got to see her, it was like deja vu, she looked exactly like Kiera. As the days passed while in the hospital she started to get her own look but still resembled Kiera. The twins were SO excited to see me and to finally meet 'the baby'. They immediately fell in love with her. She took to nursing right away, no feeding issues this time! We were able to go home by Friday, but had to watch her because she was a little bit juandiced. She was clear of juandice by her first appointment lost a little bit of weight but quickly regained it. Since then things have been absolutely wonderful! Life with 3 has been so rewarding and such a blessing that I could never have imagined. As Todd will tell you, I was rather scared (understatement of the year) of adding number 3. Don't get me wrong, we were really happy and excited about her but immediately after finding out that we were pregnant the fear started.
God has blessed us with a VERY happy baby. She sleeps! She eats very well! She sleeps! She burps pretty well. She sleeps! She wakes up happy. She sleeps! There is no colic and did I mention that she sleeps!!!!! This kid can take a 4-5 hour nap if I let her and still sleep THROUGH the night. Since her 2nd month of life, she has been sleeping most nights all the way through. Several times I have to go wake her up in the morning to feed her. It's not really fair to compare her to the twins, they were born a whole month early, both had colic and there were 2 of them, but she is much easier than the twins. Speaking of them, they still absolutely love her. Especially Dylan, he just adores her. No one, and I mean NO ONE, is allowed to touch his blue blanket. I have to give a dissertation to him on why I have to take it away and wash the thing, but several times a week he wants her to be covered, to lie on, or to be wrapped up in his 'Blue Blankie'. Kiera is so good at mothering her. Kiera loves to help change her clothes and diaper. She loves to give Sarah her pacifier if she is upset and tries to calm her down if Sarah is really upset and not wanting her pacifier.

First Mama kiss!

In September the twins, my mom and I took a flight out to California to meet up with Todd, who was working out there, for a fun vacation to Disney Land. It was the first time on a plane for the twins. After boarding the first plane and sitting there for over 45 minutes, we were told that there was a fuel leak and that we would have to de-plane and hopefully get re-routed to another flight. So once off the plane I stood in a long line while 6 months preggers and with 2 melting down three year olds. Thankfully my mom was there to help out. We were able to get on another flight just 2 hours later and were headed to Mickey Mouse, that is what the kids were really excited about.
We spent 2 days sight-seeing and playing on the beach, and then finally 2 days at Disney Land (DL)! Dylan and Kiera absolutely LOVED DL. They ran up to each character and gave big hugs. The favorites were Mickey Mouse and Pluto. The 2nd day at DL we had breakfast with Mickey Mouse and friends. The kids didn't eat a bite of breakfast, they were so excited to see Mickey. They showed each character their Mickey and Pluto animals and Kiera even did the 'Hot Dog' dance for Mickey.
Since we have been home, they have become completely attached to their animals, especially Kiera. Mickey sits at the dinner table, on the couch, has to be covered for bed time and has even been through a diaper change!

Looking for just the right Pluto in a 'Sea of Plutos'

Not even half-way through the park!

I'm starting them early!

This is something I have been excited about since we found out we were pregnant the first time, help with the house work! I have trained them to hand me clothes from the dirty clothes basket, transfer clothes from washer to dryer and to put clothes from dryer into laundry basket. Now all that 's left is teaching to them separate their clothes, being tall enough to reach the washing machine and to fold the clothes instead of playing in them!
