hola

So today for lunch Todd and I thought we would try IHOP since they had those free pancakes. We are not that big of pancake fans, but we both thought it might be fun to just go out and get something free. Of course, we didn't get the pancakes. We ordered something else entirely.

But that's not the point of this story.

The real story happened right after our waitress left from taking our order.

You see, IHOP is located in the Hispanic part of our town. So, our waitress was a cute, little Hispanic lady complete with the cool accent.

As soon as she left to go to the next table, Zack turned around in his chair and started talking full speed to her. I thought this was weird since he usually just ignores strangers, so I asked who he was talking to.

He replied very loudly, "DORA! DORA!" He even pointed so there was no mistaking it.

It was pretty funny. Maybe it is a compliment our 30ish waitress was compared to a 7-year-old girl?? Maybe? Either way, I don't think anyone but Todd and I caught it.

So at lunch today we went out, ate yummy food, and got waited on by Dora. Beat that!!!

Oh Lately...

I know I have been super lame about posting. I really have no excuse except the terrible two's seem to have hit Zack early so I'm out of patience by the end of the day...which includes patience to sit down at this computer and type. Don't get me wrong, Zack is such a wonderful little creature, but I swear he has learned to throw tantrums overnight and I'm in the process of breaking this habit which requires a lot of counting to ten. Slowly. Here is what an extremely mild Zack Tantrum looks like (I didn't get a picture of him hitting the walls shouting "NO!" Sorry.)

Zack: "WWWWAAAAAAAAA!!!! I'm so sad!!! Why are SO MEAN to me??" (He can't say all of this, but I know it's what he's thinking.)
"Do you believe me, Mommy? Can I have that third sucker now??"
"No?? Wait...why was I upset...?"

Now to update:

For Valentine's day Todd got me a big box of chocolate strawberries from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. They were amazing. And big enough for all three of us to share one and get enough. Here is a picture of the last one:

Aside from that, not much has been going on. We finally got our cat fixed, thank heavens. She was really crazy there for awhile. Here she is dreaming about going outside. Keep dreaming, little Delilah, cuz there is no way I'm letting you get run over!

I do have some pictures of me and my 5 month belly, but I'm not sharing. I hate those pictures.

Oh! And I bought my first matching pajamas for my boys. I was really excited for another boy since that's what I wanted, but now buying all the stuff is making me even more excited! I want him here! And I have been asked if I ever want a girl, and the answer is I'm just not sure. There might be room for only one princess in this family...:) Truth is, if we have 100 more boys I would be just fine if not deliriously happy. I love my boys.

Todd is still studying for the GMAT. Go Todd! And he is finally discovering what he wants to do career-wise so he will be able to focus more on that when he goes back to school. Can I just say Go Cougars!!! (As long as you let us in for his MBA and are not playing the Sooners!)

I'm just keeping busy with Zack and being the stereotypical prego housewife. We go to tons of playgroups, work out like every day (it's therapy for both me and Zack to spend at least 45 min apart), lunch dates to Chick-fil-a (what DO they put in that addicting sauce??), hit up the library for story AND craft time, and sometimes just walk down the street and bug our neighbors the Stokes. Whatever works.

And here are some pictures for the grandparents and other fans of our Zack man. We went for a walk today and I brought the camera to document. Enjoy.

On our walk Zack pushed his mower:Looked cute:

Wouldn't hold still to smile up at me or let me get a good shot:
Got distracted with the tops of sewers:
Pushed the mower some more:
Crossed the street with his "Ta" as he calls him. Yep, he calls Todd by his first name. Oops. Luckily he only calls me mama...most of the time.:)
Found some rocks to play in:
Drew in the dirt. I love how you can see his little finger line.
Looked cute some more:
And got way too personal with a fire hydrant:
The end!!!

Did ya get it right?

So the results are in, and I'm just a little upset I'm so predictable! Yep, it's another boy! I went in not having any idea and really not caring either way. I just reeeeeeally wanted to know so I could do some shopping.:)

This place is way more in-depth than Zack's doctor was. They measured things for like 45 min. straight without telling me what it was! I was about to go crazy. So after the nurse lady was done she said she was going to get the specialist to make sure she didn't miss anything and to confirm what the gender is. When they both came back the specialist said "I think it's a boy!" and the nurse said "I thought it was a girl..."

I about died. If the specialist had not come in I would be buying pink and already stressing about future hormones, but as it is I'm still in the clear! They had me walk around a bit to get the little booger to move so they could get a better picture, and it is for sure a boy! Yay!

Yes, we have a name. Well, I have a name. And I have talked to Todd about this lots and lots of times, but I think he has been tuning me out because he says I'm just springing this on him. Our name is Broden (Brody) Kurt. Kurt is my dad's name and Brody is a family name on my mom's side so I think they go good together. It's pretty much like 99.9% decided that will be it.

So, Zack will have a little brother! Now I have to go bunk bed shopping! I'm totally going to do the coolest robot room in the world for Zack's big boy room. Baby Brody gets the nursery sports decorations. Then when they move in together they can decide what they want. I'm so excited for my boys!!! Yay for future teenagers who love their mommies and future missionaries and for all you people with girls, we are adding to the tall, dark, and handsome category. You're welcome.:)

I wrote this poem for you in two minutes!!!!!

Zippity Dippity Octer
This Monday I go to the doctor!
He'll look at my belly,
And give it a whirl
To see if I'm having a BOY or a GIRL!

Do I have a "feeling" of what it will be?
Nope. But do you?
That's what I want to see.
So look at the side and there you can vote
And if you get it right,
Then you can gloat!!!

I know what you're thinking...
"This poem is so good!
Stop just being mommy!
Be a writer you should!"
But no, I will not.
But thank you, I'm glowing!
Now go and vote!
A boy or a girl? I'm dying not knowing!

snow!!

This last weekend we had about 6 inches of snow, and we were stuck inside all weekend. This would have been a joke a year ago when we lived in Rexburg, but we have now softened up to the Arkansas ways and a little snow makes us babies stay indoors. We did bundle up Zack once to try to see if he would like to play in the horrible white stuff (I'm NOT a snow fan...), but lucky for us the little boy takes after his momma and wanted to come inside after discovering it was cold.

Getting ready. He was pretty excited.
Outside. Not so excited.

And here are the pictures of his haircut.

Here is the front. Pretty long and shaggy. The back. It had the prettiest waves/curls, but it wouldn't behave a lot of the time.

During the haircut. He was such a good boy!And I just took this tonight. It's official. My kid knows how to pose!
