weekend of firsts

This weekend was Zack's first haircut and his first time in Nursery!

I do have pictures of his haircut, but I need to upload them onto the computer, and boo! Who has time for THAT?! No, I will later. But for now just know that push-up pops plus sitting on daddy's lap equals the best first haircut in the world! He really did amazing. He hair person kept saying how he was better than most 4-year-olds that she does. His hair is not that much shorter, but I'm happy to report the mullet is gone. BUT, so are most of the curls. Can't win them all. :(

And Zack did pretty amazing in Nursery, too. He cried when Todd and I left, but then a couple seconds later he was fine. I peeked in like 3 times each hour and he was just playing. I think it helps to have his little friend Marley in there with him.

I must say I'm so thankful that I'm pregnant right now. I feel like I've been neglecting this pregnancy. Most days I almost forget I'm pregnant, or how far along I am, or I'm surprised by the little kicks I'm beginning to feel. But now with Zack being such a big boy, I'm so grateful to have another baby on the way. I'm really trying hard not to be too emotional about my little Zacky growing up, but it's soooo hard!

I'll post some pictures soon!

pictures, pictures, are so fun!

Finally some Christmas pictures! I know I'm way behind, but good things are worth waiting for, right? Actually, this post will be pretty boring except for the few family members who read this blog and want to see if they are in any of the pictures, but oh well. AND a lot of the pictures were taken in horrible lighting so they are pretty blurry. Sorry.

Here we go!

It started out with these two cool people coming all the way from Utah to spend Christmas with us. Since Todd's parents are still in Brazil, they were orphaned for the holidays so Todd and I got to have them! It was fun. Zack was a little unsure of them at first, but he warmed up pretty fast. Every time Cam would take a nap, Zack would walk right up to him and say "hi...hi...hi..." and try to wake him up. It was pretty cute. Here we are at the park!
Then we went down to my parents house in Oklahoma to celebrate Christmas. Pretty much all my family does to celebrate is eat. First night we went to the Chinese buffet, the next night (Christmas Eve) we had soup and other snacky foods, Christmas we had a Mexican Fiesta!, and the next night was a pizza party...you get the picture. That plus my dad orders about five boxes of See's candy that we constantly snack on. I think we all gained ten pounds.

Also, here is the list of people who all stayed the SAME house. Deep breath:

Mike, Chrissy, Me, Todd, Amanda, Cam, Chris, Duncan, Elena, Alan, Ellen, my Mom, and my Dad. Kids all under that age of 5: Evie, Zella, Ivy, Charlotte, and Zack. Plus two dogs.

It was crazy. It was fun. It was crazy-fun.

Anyway, Christmas Eve was pretty typical. My Dad did a story time with the grandkids who would sit still and told them about Jesus. Pretty cute. Then we opened up one gift (Zack got the ornament from Grandma Scott) and played around until the kids went to bed. After that we played a game my sister-in-law Chrissy brought. I can't remember the name, but I have not had that much fun playing a game since we left Idaho...:( (Woot woot for the Idaho gang!!) We all stayed up until about 1ish...I think? Then we heard Santa on the roof and scuttled off to bed so we would get some presents.

Storytime! Evie knew all the answers.
Zack and Charlotte sharing a sippy cup. I would stop them more if I didn't think it was so dang cute. Zack and his ornament from Grandma Scott. He loved it.
Zella and Chrissy goofing off. I just love this picture.
My MOM!
Grandma and Grandpa Scott.
Ivy hugging her Grandpa after the story.
Then it was finally Christmas! Todd and I slept in until about 8. Then we made breakfast and opened stockings. Zack got just tons of balls in his stocking along with a Dora movie. He loved it all. After stockings we were actually allowed to just go crazy and open all the presents at the same time. I loved it, but it was a little sad not seeing the present you got someone being opened. Still, with that many people there really is no way to do it orderly without being mean to the kids.

Zack and his balls he got out of his stocking.
Amanda Christmas morning!
Cam Christmas morning!
Zack opening his presents.
The entire floor looked like this.
The rest of the break was pretty low key. I mean, we DID move in about two days with the help of Amanda and Cam, but other than that it was low key. But two more important things.

1) We got rid of our gold Mazda.:( I thought I would be happy to see it go, but I'm actually a little sad. It's the car Todd and I dated in, got caught (twice!) kissing in by the cops, got married in, brought Zack home in, moved to Idaho and Arkansas in...it's just like a member of the family.

2) Todd's birthday! He turned 25! We celebrated by going out to eat the night before since his birthday was on Sunday. Then on his birthday we made homemade pizza and had some friends over for cake and icecream. Happy Birthday to the most wonderful husband and dad in the world!

Oh, and here are some pictures for my sister to see. Ellen, call me crazy, but I actually like the one Elena is not smiling. But does it look like Duncan is the husband? I think so... And the one of you and Alan is so cute! My sister really is the prettiest in the whole world!

holy cow

Why do I feel SO OVERWHELMED with all the posts I need to do? Is it because...

A) We just moved and I'm finding it more important to clean the baseboards and disinfect the toilets than sit at my computer blogging.

B) I'm so busy working out trying to get a hot bod ready for this summer, and I really don't have time to work out my fingers on this here keyboard.

C) The computer is ALL the way in the other room...enough said.

D) My cat is in heat (gross, I know) and meowing all over the place while trying to mate with the couch, and my one year old just fell off of said couch while trying to do the mamba that Dora just taught him and now he doesn't want to get off my lap.

E) I would rather play my new DS Todd got me for Christmas or watch my new Harry Potter movie.

or

F) All of the above.

If you answered F, then you are correct!!!!! Yay for you!!!! Was it really, really hard? I will do a Christmas post sometime in the future as soon as I find my cord to hook my camera up to the computer, and the cord to hook the computer up to the intern...who am I kidding? I'll just make Todd do all that. So, expect a new post very, very soon!!!! Yay for husbands! Now I'm going to go drug my cat so we can get some sleep. xoxoxo
