Zack Attack Number 2

I think that this baby is getting cuter and cuter by the day so we have to post a few new pictures to keep you all updated. He is still really healthy and has finally caught on to the whole feeding thing! We came home this morning and I believe Zack is really glad to be away from those nurses. He was a little jaundice and so they just kept poking him over and over again. A few pictures for your enjoyment!

An Early Surprise

So Zackary decided late Saturday night that he was done soaking up the amniotic fluid in Joy's belly. At about 12:30 AM July 27th (nearly two weeks earlier than expected), Joy felt the gush that could only be her water breaking and we were off to the hospital. Joy was valiant, she labored (with an epideral) for about 5 hours, and then pushed for almost three with nearly no sleep. However, after a big, big push, and some help from the "tools", Zackary came forth weighing in at 6 pounds and 12 oz., and nearly 20 inches long. A meager start for a professional football player, but just perfect for little league basketball. Both Joy and Zackary are doing very well, and as perfect as can be! Here are some pictures taken just slightly after his arrival.

Here I am at almost 38 weeks. I don't think I'll take another belly picture, so this is it. And I don't usually wear clothes this tight, I had a top over it but Todd made me take it off to showcase the belly better. Also, here is a funny one of Todd. I'm not sure why he was making this face...
And he made the BEST Key lime pie!!!!! Todd took pictures to post on his and Chad's food blog, but he is too lazy to do it. So, here it is. I'm so lucky I married someone who not only likes to cook, but is sssoooo good at it!

top ten things I learned in childbirth class...

1) Labor stinks
2) Pushing can last for HOURS! (I really thought you pushed like three times and the baby came out.)
3) If you are American, then you are trained to believe you need an epidural
4) I'm American, so I'm getting one and don't make me feel bad about it
5) I'm tired of not being able to get off the floor gracefully, especially if front of a crowd
6) Todd is not that good at keeping me relaxed...so I'm glad my mom will be there
7) I now know how to give an infant a bath :)
8) Babies are funny looking when they first come out, but they will get cuter
9) I know I was going to go to ten, but I'm out of things.

Saturday we went to a child birth class that lasted for about 7 hours, and these are all the things I could come up with that I learned. Yep, there goes that forty bucks. My favorite thing was the tour of the hospital, and I got to listen to my baby's heartbeat. While doing this, the nurse looked at me and said "Oh, you're having a girl, huh?" I informed her that her hundred years of experience still had not given her the sixth sense to tell gender from a heartbeat rate. The other funny part was how all the husbands ate all the food the teacher had brought for the class, and they always seemed to be first in line at the bathrooms. Hint for all boys reading this, always let the pregnant ladies go first, especially when they outnumber you. :)

So I'm Crazy...

Mmmmmmk. Todd told me the website with the cute blogs crashed, so that's why it takes forever to load. So, I guess we are not totally on strike. I just freaked out a little. :)

I want a cute blog!

But I don't know where to go to get one. Where do you get cute backgrounds? Nicole showed me a website, but for some reason it deleted the background I picked and now the website isn't working. The one on here reminds me of a lizard, which reminds me of a really creepy "Are You Afraid of the Dark" episode (remember that show?) I watched when I was little...the one about the lizards that would bite you three times and then you would turn into one. It was really scary. Anyway, if you know where to go please let me know because I'm tired of looking at everyones cute blogs and then going back to my creepy lizard one. I'm going on strike from this whole blog thing until I get a cute one.

This one is the hardest. I have been so many places I love, but I guess these are the best. I would like to go to Scotland, Ireland, and England again though. But to answer the question, Hawaii and Paris, France are my favorite!

I have lots of favorite actors, but Shia is becoming one of my top ones real fast. He is just so cute! And Kate Hudson. She is so cute and I love her dumb girly movies.
