my attempt at a tag

Tag rules:
1. You link back to the person who tagged you.
2. post these rules on your blog.
3. share six unimportant things about yourself.
4. tag six random people at the end of your entry
5. let the tagged people know by leaving a comment on their blogs.
6. enjoy the results.

I almost never do tags. It just feels like too much pressure to answer all the questions, but this one looks easy enough, and I love Nicole, so I'll do it. :)

1) I believe in lots of things. Examples: Santa, mermaids, and sharks that only want to eat people.
2) I love scary movies, but I don't watch them anymore because Todd hates them and I've become more strict with not watching rated R movies.
3) I want to have twins so bad someday that I've contemplated telling my doctor that I can't get pregnant so I can get some fertility pills. (Yes, I know this a bad idea.)
4) I love card games. Uno, Skip-Bo, Hearts...and poker. And I can beat Todd at these games any day which makes me happy.
5) I get crazy homesick about three months away from home. I just start falling apart and crying all the time, which cues Todd into buying me an airplane ticket. What can I say? I'm a momma's (and daddy's) girl. Even when I was little visiting my grandma I would hide in the closet with the phone and call my mom crying because I wanted to come home a week early.
6) I'm so incredibly happy! I can't remember a time in my life when I felt so content with things, and I think it's because 1) I married a patient, hunk of a husband, 2) I'm so excited about our baby and I love to feel him moving, 3) I'm almost done with this part of school, 4) it's finally SUMMER!

So there it is. I tag...Ellen, Cate, Matt, Chrissy, Sarah Wise (unless Nicole already did), Chad Meynders, and Cory Bird.

WE DID IT!

While other friends are graduating from college, family members are moving to Brazil, graduating from dental school, and getting accepted to the Law School of their choice, I have had to accept that my life is just not as exciting. Sorry, but I have to celebrate the small things that Todd and I accomplish, and this leads to me writing them on our *somewhat boring* blog. What did we accomplish this week? WE BOUGHT OUR CRIB! This is something I have been worried about because ever since Todd grew an opinion about baby things we have not been able to agree on one. I'm excited to say, it's on its way here. Here is a picture of the perfect crib...now we only have everything else a baby needs to agree on.

The White Goblin

I'm now fully convinced there is a white goblin living in our apartment. I thought it was a ghost for awhile, but now I KNOW. Weird noises happen all the time in apartments, but I hear really weird noises only when Todd is gone. And they are always coming from the bathroom, bedroom, or the water-heater closet. My theory is the white goblin lives in the water-heater closet and only comes out to walk around our apartment when Todd is not home, and he doesn't care if I'm still home because I'm weak. I thought my frequent trips to the bathroom every night where annoying, but now they are scary and annoying. I actually run back to bed saying "Todd, Todd, Todd, Todd..." with my eyes wide open. This is because I saw it once while I was sitting on the toilet one night with an exceptionally long pee (sorry if that is too much info.). I had my eyes closed and was half asleep when I felt someone...or something...was watching me. I quickly turned my head to the door (I left it open...) to see if I could catch it, and I sort of did. I saw a white flash by the edge of the door and the word "goblin" came to my mind. The next morning I told Todd about my experience, and he doesn't believe me. But, he does sympathize with me so he doesn't get mad when I freak out while returning from the bathroom.

Side note: This is probably the dumbest post I have ever written, and I want everyone to be aware that I understand that there really is probably no white goblin and I'm just crazy afraid of the dark. Either way, I thought it was interesting and thought you would like to know about it so that when you come to visit you won't be taken by surprise when you meet it. And yes, reading this post was a HUGE waste of your time. :)

Mother's Day

I know I'm not an official mother yet, but Todd gave me the BEST Mother's Day ever! This might not sound like a big deal to most of you, but you have to understand that in my family we don't really celebrate Mother's Day. My poor mom always cooked, and we never gave her any presents. So, last year when I went to Todd's house for Mother's Day, it was a shock. Becky didn't have to do a thing and all the kids bought her something! It was amazing. Back to my story, yesterday I was taking a nap and I woke up with Todd bringing me a dozen roses and a cute card. Then he did the dishes, and today he made me dinner. It is amazing. I just wish Mother's Day came twelve times a year...one for each month. That would rock.

My Greatest Fears Confirmed.

So I found a website where I can morph me and Todd's faces together. It's not pretty. The first one looks more like me, and the second one looks more like Todd. I actually think the one like me is not that bad... The other one is creepy.

I wish I were in Hawaii

I was just looking at pictures of Todd and I from last year, and I have to say I looked pretty good a year ago. To compare, I'm also posting a 26 week picture of me on here. Sorry it's blurry...I guess I can't stop moving. I can tell my face is getting rounder. :( But that's okay. At least my butt is the same size, right? Also, my friends and I played a pretty intense game of Pounce tonight. If you don't know the game, shame on you! It is SO much fun. Come out to Rexburg if you don't know and I'll teach you. It will be worth the plane ride.
