Finally...

James has finally cut his top teeth. He has been working on them for the past month and once I discovered them he was so pleased with himself. I even got him to smile while I was talking his picture.  In the day he has had his new teeth he has wasted no time in trying to eat an apple and was thrilled to discover he can actually break of chunks of it himself. A whole new world has opened up to my baby.

James in now 11 months old and quite he is quite certain he is the favorite little boy in the house. His sister absolutely adores him and his parents can't get grumpy with him even when he is in trouble. All he has to do is flash his big smile and we instantly melt. This might turn out to be a problem. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

James is still very much a little boy...very busy with lots of things to do during the day. His favorite job lately is resetting our answering machine and phone. According to James it's quite possibly the best invention. Every single button on it makes noise or says something back to you. I'm not even sure how he gets some of the responses. It's so funny to watch him play with it, it's all very serious discovery time for him. He takes his discovery time VERY seriously.

His other major accomplishment this month as been walking. He has been taking steps since Christmas, but he is now a pro. He walks most of the time and can stand himself up in the middle of the floor when he falls down. Here is a little clip of him walking. In the middle he discovers I'm filming him and want to play with the camera, one of his favorite toys, he just doesn't understand why no one will let him play with it.



We are looking forward to his one year old birthday and can't wait to see what new things he accomplishes this month. Maybe he'll start growing hair.
