Caleb got BRACES! This poor guy has had so many issues with his teeth. He defiantly got the short stick when it comes to his teeth. He has lost so many and has spacers. He had a extra central incisor that had to be pulled. The one that did come in came in way crooked! He is now on the path to a beautiful smile. It will be a two phase ordeal and way expensive, but will be worth it in the end. Keep on smiling Caleb!

Holden and Tracen race together again.
Little Mountain road race is the last race of the season. Holden did so awesome! This is only his second race this year and he took 5th out of 9 in the junior division. This was an extra cool race for me because I was asked to drive the lead car for this group. It was so fun to see these your boys follow in their fathers footsteps. The excitement that they all had was liberating! Tracen finished 9th in this race and wasn't pleased with his standings at all. He had put to many miles in the week before (High Unitas) and his legs just weren't there. He wasn't on his race bike due to the accident with the garage and that makes a huge difference as well. He changed his wheels and the gearing wasn't the same so he had to exert more energy and didn't go as fast. He will be getting his new bike in a couple of weeks and is so excited! Will post when it comes. So proud of my guys! Caleb will be joining you next year!
More Races...
Garden Creek Gap was Tracen's 4th race of the season. He was really excited with his placing for this race. It is a tough race and getting dropped from the lead pack is easy. He had to ride this course twice and the climbing that is involved makes it challenging. He is such a strong rider this year and he has worked so hard. He placed 6th in his division and stayed with the lead pack the whole way! I love to watch him
race and share in his passion. Off to the next race!
High Unitas road race is one of Tracen's favorites. It starts in Kamas, Utah and finishes in Evanston,Wyoming. This race climbs to the top of the Unitas and is not a race for those who don't enjoy the challenge of climbing! It is a total of 80 miles and a crazy race. It is a metal race as well as physical. With the amount of climbing that takes place I am surprised that one can walk after wards. Caleb and Chase went with me to this race and they were so excited to see their dad race. It was so awesome hearing them yell "GO DAD GO!" Tracen finished 5th in this race and we are so proud of him! He beat his time last year by 14 mins, that is huge! Way to go Tracen and keep on peddling!
Tracen after the race. Man I love this guy!
After a long day we got home and had an accident with his bike. He forgot it was on the top of the Pilot and pulled into the garage. He was sick! A $6000- bike totaled! We are so lucky that our homeowners has covered the damage and he has ordered a new bike. You will have to wait and see what he gets. It is SUPER SWEET!!!!!

May Birthday's
Our baby is 7! I can't believe how much and fast the kid's have grown. Chase the youngest of the boys holds his own. He is such a fun and happy guy. He loves to give hugs and kisses and I am so lucky to be the recipient of them both. He is always laughing and a great tease. He loves to ride his bike and is now able to ride his bike up town. That is a huge mile stone at our house. Now he can go with the brothers and get treats. He will be the first to tell you when he is tiered and asks" is it time for bed?" He is such a big boy that I dread when he falls asleep on my bed. He is so heavy and it takes all I have to carry him to bed. Now Chase isn't "Fat", but has the Winward thick build. He will make a great football player if he decides to try that out. We love Chase and our home would not be the same without him. He opted to have a family party so we took him to Iron Man 2 and then he chose to eat at Sizzler. He got a BB gun for his birthday and loves to shoot it. We love you Bubba!
Caleb is nine this year. I can't believe that it was just last year that he was baptized. Caleb is our guy that never quits laughing. Everything is funny to him and he loves life. He is such a sweet heart and a pleaser. He loves to help out and always pitches in without being asked. He was like this when he was way little and things haven't changed in that regard. He had a party this year and we did a science theme. We made flubber, seltzer rockets and had a pinata...of course. The treat bags were full of fun science items and the kids had a fun time. Caleb has been handed down Holden's road bike and he is so excited to start racing. He has a natural ability and I can hardly wait to see what he does next year come race season. Thanks for being such an awesome boy Caleb, we love you!!!

Winning Winward
He got the WIN! Saturday Tracen raced the Bear Lake Classic and took first in his category. It is a 54 mile race around well you guessed it, Bear Lake. I was in Vegas on a girls weekend so I didn't get to share in this great and long awaited for accomplishment. The last 25 miles of the race Tracen took off and rode solo. The weather was cool and WINDY of course! I am so proud of him and wish I could have been there. I did have a great time in Vegas with the girls however and needed the break from the massive amount of homework that I do on a nightly basis. He has another race lined up at the end of the month. Will defiantly be there for that one. Way to go sweet!

Rain and Racing. Not a Great Combination!
Like father, like son. Today the race stricken duo were at it again. Antelope Island was the course and the weather HORRIBLE! It rained, hailed, and rained some more. Holden's course was 18 miles start to finish and this was his FIRST official race. This was defiantly an experience for this novice rider. Before he even got started he was WET and COLD. He was able to complete 14 miles of the course before he was officially FROZEN. His hands and feet were stinging with pain and he had had enough. I couldn't blame him for throwing in the towel. There were many other individuals who were in the same frame of mind and this was the perfect day for catching HYPOTHERMIA. Tracen's course would take him 43 miles around the Island and physically he felt great (weather aside). The few times that I saw him he was right with the lead pack. After I picked up Holden and took him to the pilot to warm up I lost track of Tracen. As we were waiting for him I glanced out the window to see him carrying his bike. With a disgusted look on his face he told me that his back tire popped! He was in the lead pack with 4 other guys and 7 miles away from the finish line. OH MY HECK! He has never not finished a race before, so this has really ticked him off needless to say. When he took his bike off the rack he discovered that his front tire also popped. There was really FINE pea gravel that was sharp, who would have guessed? The pebbles were so sharp that it went through his tire and we found it puncturing his tube! Talk about discouraging. We have no doubt that he could have been in the top three, WHY! Oh well, we can't control everything and he has another race in two weeks. Of course this time I won't be there. I am heading to Vegas with some girlfriends and with my luck he will place high and I won't be there to cheer him on. Holden will race this same race and we hope for his sake the weather will be NICER! Way to go boy's. I am so proud of you!
