Merry Christmas!

"I'll Be Home For Christmas"... will most likely not be our theme song this year. Lauren was diagnosed with RSV yesterday. It's actually a pretty common respiratory illness, but it just reeks havoc on a baby. It amounts to a very deep chest cold, and since she is so little (and because it's a viral infection) there are no "medicines" to treat it. We were given an inhaler and mask to use on her 4 times a day. You can imagine that she just loves having a mask held down on her face for for 2-3 minutes. FUN STUFF. I just feel so bad for her because she is just miserable, you can see it in her eyes.
So... I'm not sure if we will be making the trip to Shreveport for Christmas. I really don't think that traveling with her sick is a good idea... and she is contagious and I don't want to bring that germ to our families. "Merry Christmas! Here, have a chest cold."
We will just to have to have a small, quiet Christmas at home this year, and have Christmas with our folks sometime in January.
Merry Christmas, from our house to yours.

Smiling !

It is so hard to get a picture of Lauren smiling... she is so fast to look away! But I got this one... I'm sure by pure accident. So CUTE!!!

Settling In...

I'm sorry it's been a whole month since our last post!!! So much has happened since then... it's crazy! I went back to work, Lauren started daycare, and we moved. WOW. I'm glad things are starting to settle down a bit. Just in time for the holidays. We are pretty much unpacked in the new house except for the office. And we got our DSL internet hooked up this week, so YAY!!! I love fast internet... for a while we only had dial-up and then satellite.
Lauren is growing so fast and learning so much!!! I look at her in amazement everyday. We are so blessed to have her. We are so in love with her!!!
She was a pumpkin for Halloween - cutest pumpkin I've ever seen!

Daycare is going pretty good... I'm getting used to it and Lauren is adjusting pretty well. She was used to mommy holding her a lot and with 11 other babies in her class she doesn't get held a lot during the day. So when we get home everyday we have lots of snuggle time to make up for it.

She is the squirmiest little baby I've ever seen. When she's awake, she's moving. She likes to kick her legs. And she's "talking" a lot... loves to coo and SMILES too! She is generally a very good baby.... not much to fuss about.

She's sitting her next to me in her boppy just a smilin' and talkin' and kickin'.
Lauren says, "Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?"

In other news -

1. Molly has become an outside dog. Something I swore I would never do... but with Lauren and the new house it's just easier to have her outside. She likes being outside but I think she misses us. We let her in at night to lay down in front of the fireplace. And if it gets really cold at night we let her sleep inside. And it's been nice not having all the dog hair to vaccum and sweep all the time.

2. Trey is working 60 hours a week until the end of the year... we miss him on Saturday's. Hopefully it will end soon. The extra pay will be nice, but having only one day off a week is going to get old for him.

3. The buyout of Alltel should close before Thanksgiving... that's what we've been told at work. Hopefully no big changes will occur in the near future. I would hate for there to be a layoff.

4. When babies sneeze it is so cute.

5. It's also funny to watch her discover her hands. You can tell she is thinking... "Woa, what is that... cool! I can suck on it!"

I am so ready for Thanksgiving! It will be our very first road trip with Lauren... I hope she does okay being in the car for that long. Hopefully we will be able to time it perfect between her feedings... we'll find out soon enough!!!

Here are a few pics from her "professional" pics taken at 8 weeks old. I love the black and white ones... precious!!!

And now you're up to date. :)

Napping...

Lauren is not a good napper. I hope they don't kick us out of daycare because of this. She falls asleep in my arms and then as soon as I put her down she is WIDE awake... It can be somewhat frustrating. Just about the only way to get her to sleep for a little while is to put her in the bouncer. And then sometimes that doesn't last very long. Oh well. She is usually pretty happy during the day... but at night she has been quite colicky lately. I hope she grows out of it soon. It is miserable for the both of us!
Here are some recent pictures of my beautiful little girl! I am DREADING going back to work. I have a week and a half to go... :(

We're Moving

As if having a baby is not enough we decided to move. Two weeks ago on a whim we put our house for sale to see what would happen. Much to our surprise it sold in six days. Last weekend we began our house hunting search and made an offer on a new home. So in less than three weeks from now we will be moving to the city of Bryant. It is still under construction so hopefully everything will be completed before we have to close. Here are some pictures of our two new tax deductions. Shirt courtesy of the Guyton's...

Quick thoughts from a tired Mommy

1. Wednesday we learned we have Thrush. Fun stuff. Mommy gets off easy with using a cream. Poor Lauren has to have this stuff called Nystatin (she hates it), FOUR times a day. Side effects are upset stomach diarrehea.... just what a new mommy wants her newborn to have. UGH... So we are pumping and bottle feeding until the pain goes away to nurse. IF it every does!!! And so begins the Mommy guilt of not nursing. But she is still getting breast milk and that it all that matters, right? I hate this guilt thing - my emotions are a wreck as it is....

2. On the way home from learning we have Thrush - we got hit by a minivan on the Interstate - going almost 60 miles an hour. God was watching over us because no one was hurt and my car was not even damaged. We were pretty shook up about it. Lauren slept through it all. Thankfully Trey was drivning. The only reason we avoided getting hit was due to the exit off the interstate that was available just as the van swerved into us. Crazy thing - the minivan never stopped - they just kept driving.

3. Trey goes back to work on Tuesday - it will be just me and Lauren for the first time. I hope I can do this by myself... I guess I really don't have a choice. If need be I will call my mom back up here for assistance. :)

4. I am loving that I can bend over now... well not too far because of the C-section incision, but the pain and soreness of that is fading. And I am shocked and amazed that I have already, in less than 2 weeks lost just over 25 pounds.

And Trey says that my snoring has stopped. It never bothered me... :) But I know he is glad.

I'll leave you with more pics - most are from the hospital - they are Trey, my mom and dad, sister and my grandma. Trey's parents are coming up tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll get some good pics of them and post next week.

Lauren Grace - the debut!!!

I'm sorry I have not posted any pictures until now... we have been really busy getting to know our new angel and working on getting some much needed rest whenever possible! I hope I can get this done before her next feeding!

Quick recap on the story of her arrival:

Monday, 8/20/07 I went to the hospital to visit my friend Robin who was in labor with her lilttle girl. I stayed until just before she was born and then went home to rest. I had a very rough night that night with irregular contractions until about 7:00 that morning. I went ahead and went to work because I thought they might be false labor contractions that I had had many times before... by about 9:30 I realized something was very different this time. I had planned on going back to the hospital at lunch to visit my friend and meet her daughter, but we left early and I called my Dr. on the way. By this time my contractions had become stronger and I had been having them every 5 minutes for about 2 hours. My Dr. called me back and said they would have to get a room ready at the hospital because they were currently full... yikes! But after waiting about 1 hour we got a room and waited to see the Dr. to find out if Lauren would be coming that day. I had called Trey and he was on the way. My good friend from work, Sherri, stayed with me until he came. So they all occured by about 11:30 or so... The Dr. came in and said this was the real deal and he promptly broke my water. Not painful, but then he discovered that Lauren was breech. Hmmm.... I thought - that is what I suspected the whole time!!! We could have avoided the next hour of intense labor pains had we known this sooner. Oh well - it was worth it to get her here. Things moved pretty quickly and Lauren was born at 3:13 pm on Tuesday 8/21/07.
We came home from the hospital on Friday, the 24th - her actual due date. Everything is going good - we eat, sleep, and cry a little.
She is beautiful and we are so much in love with her.
Here are some pics to prove it!

New Arrival

1Yesterday Tracy and I got to meet Lauren for the first time. She was born yesterday at 3:13pm. She weighed 7lbs 11 ozs and is 21 and 3/4 inches long. She has an incredible amount of hair on her head and so far everyone is well. We will post pictures as soon as possible.

GREAT news, but still no baby...

Okay... so the GREAT news is that we are secure for a daycare for Lauren! Yea! I ran ALL over town last week visiting places and getting information on daycares. Let me tell you.... there are some places that I would just not leave my child. It's crazy that these places are in business. However, I got a good recommendation on one place and I really liked it. God knew what he was doing because they had an opening for October, Praise the Lord! Mom was right... everything did work out for the best. This place is just minutes from the hospital (Heaven forbid something should happen) and also just minutes from her doctor's office. That will be great for when she has checkups or gets sick. And she's about 10 to 15 minutes away from me (depending on traffic). WHEW... it is such a relief to have that taken care of. I paid her deposit on Thursday, just after our doctor's appointment (which I will get to shortly).

Another piece of GREAT news is that I made an A in my last graduate class!!! YAY!!!!! I should say that I am quite proud to have made that A. It was a tough class and to have done it being 9 months pregnant was no easy task. At least it's over and I am officially dubbed an MBA graduate. No more school for me.... ever. That's it - I'm done. :)

Alrighty then - BABY UPDATE:
Went to the Dr. on last Thursday. Basically there was not much change... he said I was "between a 1 and a 2" for dilation. However, little Lauren has decided not to drop yet. I think she swinging from my ribs by her toes. I know she will come in due time, but I am getting tired of swelling and back pain. And frankly, I just don't sleep much at night from either one.
So... we go back to the Dr. on this Thursday (day before actual due date). And if there is not much change, or even if there is - he said he would schedule an induction for the next week. I just don't know how much more of this I can stand!
Maybe the full moon will put me into labor this weekend... we can only hope.

I'll try to do better and keep you posted.

Sheer joy - then immediate frustration

Sheer joy!!! I am officially finished with school!!!!! Thursday was my last day of class, with the final presentation ending at around 8:00 pm. I'm sure we did a great job on the presentation and hopefully we will get a good grade on the paper. It ended up being almost 200 pages. Not bad for 13 days of research and writing. I think that was the craziest thing I've ever done. (at least it was a group project!).
Anyway - so as soon as it is confirmed that I passed my class I will be an MBA graduate! I'm not sure when they will mail my diploma, but I am excited about getting it!

In other news... we are less than 2 weeks away from Lauren't arrival and I am getting more anxious by the day. I am SO tired of being tired... and also of being swollen from head to toe. It really is not helping that the weather has been seriously hot lately. Today, the actual temperature in Little Rock was 105. Now that is just not right.

All is well with baby - at our last appt. it was confirmed that she is still head down, but not dropped yet. I am actually dilated to a 1. I know that's not much, but I was excited... at least we know it's going in the right direction. My next appt. is this Thursday, so I'll be updating again after that.

Okay - and now for the "immediate frustration" portion of this post. Today I received a call from Trey with not so good news. Bad news in fact. The place that we had previously arranged to have Lauren stay for day care is not going to work out. Why? Apparently we are not far enough up on the list. This is AFTER we were told in FEBRUARY that there would be a spot for her. NICE. So now... less than 2 weeks to go and we are starting from scratch to find a suitable place for her to be in childcare. Say a prayer - I know these things happen for a reason, but I am somewhat stressed about this situation. Most places will not have openings for quite some time. We will probably need to have her enrolled somewhere in the October range....

Anyway - that's all for now. I'll be calling and visiting daycare's all over town tomorrow weighing our options.

I'm gonna let Trey play on the computer now... he videotaped me snoring last night to prove to me how loud it has become. I've recently been compared to a chainsaw... he's so sweet.

Dr. Visit

Well, I had my 36 week checkup today. Everything was good. Blood pressure, weight, and other stuff. He did "check" me... and things are looking good apparently. He says that Lauren is head down. I had no idea she was, I swear her head is at my belly button, but apparently, that is her bottom. And he's the professional, so I'll take his word I guess. I don't understand how they know that though.
I'm a weanie and didn't ask about working half days. I should have, becuase now I really want to go home. There's nothing "wrong" with me, I just can't stand to sit here all day long at this desk. And putting my feet up is not helping the swelling. The only thing that works is laying down and sleeping... and I obviously can't do that at work.

I'm getting ready for her to be here! The only thing that keeps me from not wanting it now is because I have 3 weeks of class left. I will be so ready to have it over... I'm beginning to just not care anymore. As long as I pass, I'm a happy camper.

I just wish my feet would stop swelling so much. I can barely bend my "cankles". :)

Ugh...

Okay, I'm starting to get really uncomfortable. My legs are sore, my feet are HUGE, back pain, and it's beginning to hurt to walk. This is ridiculous. I have 5 more weeks of this!
How uncomfortable and bad do I need to feel in order for the doctor to have me start working half days?

Tuesday, July 10, 2007

It begins...

And so it begins... my last MBA class starts tonight. I will go every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:00 - 9:45 pm (and then drive home for 20 minutes) for the next 5 weeks. I am already living for August 10th when I can say that I successfully completed the MBA program and have my post-baccalaureate graduate degree!!! And just in the nick of time...
We must pray that all things remain cool, calm, and collected in order that she does not arrive early.

Dr. visit update:
Went to the OB today for my bi-weekly checkup. Everything is going great.
Baby's heart beat - good, strong - in the 150 range.
Weight gain - good. No comment.
Blood pressure - good. I will brag and say excellent at 110 over 70.
Things to think about, but not worry yet - she is still sitting upright (technically she is horizontal in there...), so she has not turned yet. Dr. said not to worry - he'll check again next week and then if there is still no change, we will need to discuss our options.

I'll be keeping you posted on our progress with school and Baby Lauren!

Showered and Swollen

So... what's new with us lately? June was a relatively quiet month. Our 5th anniversary came and went. We went out to eat (the restaurant was somewhat disappointing), got ice cream (made up for the dinner), and then went home and vegged on the couch. It was great to just relax!

Last weekend we had a baby shower in Minden at my aunt and uncle's house. We had a good turnout and got lots of fun baby stuff! To name a few items... our baby bedding, baby bathtub, Bumbo seat, clothes, diapers, gift card, and more! It was great fun and we appreciate everything! We had a lot of family there. Also, a sweet friend that I used to work with in Ruston and Warren and Jennifer Byrd. Thanks for coming! It meant so much to us!

My mom, sister, and Missy Guyton will be coming up to LR this weekend to host another shower for us. This one will be at my house. So, the pressure is on to get things all put away and clean! Thank goodness we have a day off in the middle of the week to get things done! I am excited about being "showered" again! And then in about 2 weeks, my co-workers are giving us a shower at work. We are so blessed and grateful for everything! Hopefully baby Steiner will be all set by then!

By the way, we have decided on a name... some may know already... should I release it now? Or should I tease you until she gets here? I guess teasing is no fun... so... without further delay - our little girl will be named: Lauren Grace

We decided on Lauren because that is my middle name and I've always liked it. And I love the name Grace. It is sweet, simple, and elegant.

Ah, yes... to the comment regarding a recent picture of me. Well, an executive decision has been made that the picture below is all you will see.

Yes, these are my feet. (And I know I am overdue for another pedicure...) This picture was taken this morning. You can see why I might not want you to see all of me - DUE TO THE SWELLING. For those of you that may not know - I usually have very narrow (we'll call them skinny) feet. Not so anymore. They have started to swell and will not stop. My left foot is always worse than my right... although this weekend my right foot gave the other one a run for it's money. It was so bad I had a hard time bending my toes. They looked like little sausages. Needlesstosay, I am not pleased with swelling that has occured elsewhere (hands, arms, rear, face...) and therefore will spare you the viewing of it. I am keeping my feet up at work and as much as possible at home, but you can only sit so much. And this child is sitting so low in my hips that she needs me to move around every so often. The doctor says that the swelling is okay because my blood pressure is still very normal. I'm grateful for that, but so very ungrateful for how I look and feel. All this to say - I know our little Lauren will be worth all of it and I can't wait to meet her!

OTHER NEWS: We have adopted my sister's dog Roscoe (also answers to Pico) for a month. They are waiting to be able to move out of the apartment and into a house in Shreveport. So, Roscoe is taking a little vacation in Arkansas. He is... well, I guess he's a mut, but a cute one. He's about 10 years old. I will have to get a picture of him for everyone to see. He, like my sweet dog Molly, has a thyroid problem and requires a pill twice a day. They are perfect for each other. :)

I haven't posted a picture of Molly in a while - this is my new favorite for a while. Did I mention she is the smartest dog in the world? Okay, maybe not the world... we'll just shoot for the smartest in Arkansas...

She loves Trey... :)

4D pictures!

We had a 4D ultrasound today! It was so neat to actually put a face with this squirmy baby in my tummy! According to Shea (ultrasound lady), she is perfectly normal! She has all her fingers and toes and apparently loves her feet. She had one of her feet up by her face the whole time! She must have been sleepy too because she yawned a lot. I tried to find some of the best pictures on the CD to show, so hopefully you will be able to see what you are looking at. They are close ups of her face. She weighs 2.6 pounds and is about 12 inches long. I am at 28 weeks today, so we are getting closer! I have about 12 weeks to go!!!
And for those of you that wonder about what I look like now, I will have to post a new picture of me shortly... Basically the same as last time, just a bigger belly. And in case you were curious, I have gained about 20 pounds so far (although there are days it feels more like 40). :)
And no, we have not officially decided on a name yet. I have an idea of what it will be, but Trey is afraid of commitment. :) So, for now, she is Baby Girl Steiner.

Growing...

Don’t judge too harsh… this picture was taken last night after a long day… I am sunburned from having gone to a baseball game with our group at work. Then I had class last night, so I was pretty pooped by the time the flash went off. But here I am. I just keep growing and growing and growing…
I feel like I have acquired another chin. I am not pleased with this new development, but I feel as though there is nothing I can do about it. I have always had a very round face… and it just got rounder.
Also, I fear Trey is right… I think my bottom has gotten bigger. Nice.
But the good news is that the baby’s room is making progress! Trey has finished the crown molding and has put up the new door moldings, and last night when I got home he had been working on the new window sill. By the way… we are remodeling the room completely, including brand-spankin’ new sheet rock. I am hoping that we will be able to paint soon. Then I’ll be able to get the new baby furniture!

It's a .....

GIRL! We found out on Monday, April 2nd that we are having a little girl. Everything looked great! She has two arms and two legs and weighed 10 ounces. I have no idea how they figure out how much she weighs, but that is so neat! I'm not sure how long she is, I forgot to ask. I do know that my Dr. said she is on the small side, but that might be a good thing for me come time for delivery. :) Tomorrow will be the completion of my 20th week of pregnancy, so we are half way there!
I love being pregnant... it is the neatest thing in the world. Especially now that I can feel her move around. I swear, I think she is turning flips in there sometimes! Trey has even been able to feel her move a couple of times. I am simply amazed that there is a little life growing in my belly that is part of me and Trey. It is a complete blessing and I'm so proud of her already!

Sidenote - I have been having some fun new issues to contend with now that I am getting bigger (and bigger...)
1. I can eat anything and feel like a balloon that is about to pop. My stomach gets so tight just after a meal and I feel and feel like I look HUGE.
2. Indigestion - I have never had a problem with this, but as I was trying to go to sleep last night my throat was just burning with pain. And I realized I had left my Tums on my desk at work. I will need to invest in another bottle for the nightstand...
3. Belly is beginning to itch. I am using lotion like everyone has said to do, but it continues... and I think the lotion has made my belly break out in hives.
4. I am paranoid that I am poking out further than I should be, but then again, I am halfway there. But good grief! How much bigger can I get?
5. Although I know I have not... it feels like I've gained a pound a day this week.

Wow... she is really moving around in there right now... Probably because I just ate. :)

Update!

So, I have had a couple of people ask me... "What do you look like now? Are you showing?" Well, to answer your question, yes. Yes, I am showing. And today, for the first time, someone touched my belly. It was kinda funny and strange, but she did ask first, and what am I going to say? No? Well, no, you can't say no unless they are creepy, and she's not creepy. She is a sweet person (who happens to be like 6 feet tall so that's another reason I said, "Sure, it's okay"). :)
Anyway, so below you see two recent pictures of me - this is one of my newer outfits. It's quite comfortable. I am about 18 weeks along (on Friday to be exact). On April 2nd we are going to the doctor to find out if the little one is a boy or girl (provided he or she is in the correct position to determine that). I cannot wait! My sister wants me to have a girl and my Mom thinks I'm having a boy, so we'll see who wins the pot! I'm ready to know so I can start shopping and making a list of names that Trey will inevitably veto. :)

Other than that... school... ah, yes, school. Next week is spring break and I couldn't be more ready! Then I'll only have 5 weeks left of this semester and I'll be ONE class away from graduation! Yippee! Not to dampen the excitement... but I learned a week ago that the last class I need to graduate is not being offered in the early summer session, but the last summer session. NOT good... but we'll just have to hope and PRAY that this baby decides to stay put for the full term as I will be finishing up the class exactly 2 weeks before my due date. I'm tired just thinking about it because this class will be a doozy! So, if you think of it between July 9th and August 10th say a little prayer for me. These summer classes are great because they are short, but they are very intense. We go two nights a week from 6:00 pm - 9:45 pm, which puts me home after 10:00 pm and if you know me... I'm a granny - I'm usually in bed by around 9:00 or so on a typical night. So, this is going to be interesting.

Friends at Dave and Karrie's Wedding

David Fortenberry and Karrie Reeves got married on Feb. 17, 2007. We had a great time visiting with everyone and got a few pics of us at the reception (Thanks to Lici bringing her camera and Will posting the pics).

The boys had a night out the night before the big day and went bowling and mud riding at about 2:00 in the morning. Who else do you know that could make one phone call and find a place to go riding that late? None other than Trey. Yup... one phone call to his brother Jason and they were on their way to a mudhole in Vivian, LA. It cracks me up that Trey called Jason at about 1:00 am or so and he was out and about and up for it! So funny....

Anyway, here are pics of everyone at our table. We sat with Ryan & Melissa Guyton, Adam & Lici Powell, Will Powell & Jessica Wawrznyiak, and Will Nipper. We had a great time and it was a beautiful wedding!

Seriously...

Okay... seriously... I am about 13 weeks, almost 14 weeks along and I'm SERIOUSLY running out of things to wear. I have one pair of "non-prego" pants and I'm about done with those. The problem is... I'm too small for most maternity clothes (they are HUGE)... but my size doesn't fit. I've tried buying some things a size or two bigger, but I'm sure those clothes won't last that long. This is quite frustrating....

But, other than the clothes not fitting, I do feel better. I haven't been sick in a while. Mostly just sick and tired... of school. I am seriously ready to be done with it. Thank goodness this is my last full semester. Speaking of school, I need to head home and study for an Accounting test. Don't you wish you were me? :)

BIG news!!!

Well... We've got some exciting news to share! Trey and I should hear the pitter patter of little feet very soon! That's right... we are expecting a baby! The little one's due date is August 24, 2007. We are so excited and nervous and anxious all rolled into one!
For those of you that are dying to know, but won't ask... yes, it was totally planned! :) We found out just before Christmas, and I will tell you, I think we were both surprised! (FYI - sometimes the home pregnancy test doesn't work!)

So, that's about it! I just thought I would let the cat out of the bag!

The Short Version

I haven't posted in a while... so I'll try to condense this into the short version of what occured in December for us. First, at the beginning of the month we go to visit with our friends Scott and Rebecca and meet Landon! It was great to catch up and just chill out with them for a day in Ruston. Thanks to Warren and Jennifer Byrd, who let us come over and hang out with everyone that Saturday... Here are a few pics:

So, that was the weekend of Dec. 8th. The next weekend we were back in Louisiana for a quick trip to see my uncle in Minden. He has a family get together every year. It was great to visit and the food was great too! Unfortunately, no pics of that event.
The next weekend... Dec 23-24 was spent at my parents house. We made a short detour to my dad's duck camp for some duck hunting that Saturday. The guys did pretty good! See pics below... They are of my hubbie, brother, dad, and Lady (duck dog).

That leaves Christmas! Well, my family decided to do something different this year. Instead of exchanging presents, we took the money that we would have spent on presents and donated it the charity or foundation of our choice. It was great! Trey and I gave our money to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance during their Spirit of Giving food drive. It was great to be able to do that. And honestly, way less stressful for everyone involved! Of course, my parents exchanged presents and Trey and I exchanged Christmas cards. Trey got his Christmas present in November in the form of a brand new truck. I requested a treadmill and we picked it up after Christmas.

So, we spent Christmas day at my parents house in Shreveport and here are a few pictures:

This is my Aunt Mae and my Grandma, relaxing on the couch before lunch.

My mom has a Nutcracker collection. My dad gets her one every year for Christmas. This one was a Robin Hood Nutcracker... very pretty!

Here's Daddy, opening up some new CD's he got from Momma!

My brother is going on a fly fishing trip this summer, so he got some new gear! He was quite surprised and very excited!

Trey's eyes are closed in almost every picture, but this one was close enough. The flash gets him every time!

Me and my little brohter.

We didn't get to see my sister, Chris, and Kennedy on Christmas day. They celebrated in Dallas and came over on the 27th. No pics... I totally forgot.

After Christmas we got to spend an afternoon at Trey's parents house. They had been in Laurel, MS visiting Trey's sister and kids. Trey's brother-in-law just graduated from the state police academy. Big congratulations to Scott!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Oh yes, for New Year's... um yeah.... we went to bed around 10:00 or 10:30 pm. I think I woke up and heard the neighbors popping firecrackers. Didn't phase me... went right back to sleep. It was great!
