Stop waiting for signs and signals from above or below. Tune into what's inside. Everyone's heart beats to a desire and an ambition so strong like a forest raging fire. Yet, because we are living on cold, clueless Pluto we cannot feel the heat! Try to orbit closer, and experience the warmth of an infinite expanse of possibilities...as vast as the Amazon forest! When you're done, to avoid jettisoning back into outer space, write down how you felt...Yes! It is as simple as that.

Be bold so that you can write down whatever you want to be, wherever you want to go. Be specific so that you can actually feel the event already occurring. Be a little vague so that those out of the blue surprises can slowly trickle through to tickle and amuse. Write more than one page, or if you are a one page summary kind of fussy Dilbert executive, write on a really large page. Avoid making a list of goals. This is NOT a to-do kind of list. This is NOT a list. This is a story of an adventure already lived.

If you're the shy type, keep this story to yourself. Yet, I assure you, if the story is really compelling, you would be dying to tell it. The confidence to do so will come with time. Like a movie trailer, reveal certain facets of this adventure. The highlights, part of the climax, the resilience through the downs, the pride through the ups, and the gratefulness through it all. Reveal through your actions, your speech, your thoughts. Immerse the today in your movie. 24-7, your being must market and promote this movie. Through the unfair criticisms, through the thumbs up reviews of totally blown away journalists, through what's actually happening at the box office...through it all, the world must watch your movie, because this is probably the last movie you'll ever make.

So much for being shy.

PS: Starting from today, I will endeavour to reveal the source of my inspiration for these very sporadic and random Outpours. On the wall facing your bed, stick this message, in those cool neon glow-in-the dark colours, so that this is the last thing you read at night and the first thing you read in the morning:

Today I will aim for the mighty tiger and not a lame goat. My hunting ground is vast, so let me circumnavigate 45,000 kilometres, in search of the greatest need that warrants my attention, that urgently seeks to be hit by my ultimate weapon, that of selfless love and selfless service.

If today I have dreamt of ambitions and goals, worthy of a lion king's glory, and in any felt let down by circumstances out of my control, let me be content because I would rather aim for a tiger and lose than aim for a lame goat and win everytime.

Eventually every action of mine everyday will be driven and motivated by the highest goal Man is ever capable of achieving. If every day, I operate at such a level, how do you think I would be feeling?

Seek positive inspiration from anything and everything. With the blessings of Mother Nature, inform dear Katrina that you would like to take the world by storm too. From the desk of the film editor, learn that the climax and happy ending would not be complete without frame 13, part of that dreaded scene when you lost faith in yourself. From those stories in Forbes and Business Week, be rest assured that everything is to be gained from the tiniest first sacrifice, and nothing ever lost from the biggest that is yet come. The world is a stage and to perform well, to feel your true character, you do need the feedback of other actors. But don't forget the props, the little things in the background that make everything so real and meaningful.

I am against some odds, with an irrational fear nagging away at the back of mind, there are endless hours of work, an uncertain future, plus no exercise with plenty of gluttony instead.

You hope there could be a plan for everything, even a plan to do something if some plan did not work. Then there is the past that you loved and now rue leaving behind, and the present that overwhelms. All 3 time-linear realities are either impractical or undesirable. And then something tells you that every step you took, are taking and will take has been bringing you a step closer to your ultimate reality. Those ambitions you ever harboured, those dreams you ever had, that closeness you ever felt with someone, all of these things that make up your ultimate truth, your ultimate reality...you must believe that to reach it, it will take one step at a time.

The wisdom from the feeling of liberation should steer me away from the web of attachment and ego. Yet very often I trot along fearlessly and compassionately towards this same web to reach out to those still stuck. There's no joy in an isolated and insulated freedom. Gone are the ages where we could be content with personal spiritual progress. This is the age of service, of networking, of selflessness. This is the age of fearlessness and compassion. This is the Golden Age now, infront of your very senses. Get out of your shells and stop being lonely now.

Keep only your feet in the murky, unclear waters of human emotions. When something stings or your feet start to get wrinkly, take your feet out, allow them to dry, rest and recuperate. With the rest of you outside, you can feel what it is to be human, but will never drown in its fold. The intellect, therefore must be outside the murky waters.

If you feel you are already drowning, unable to think clearly, stick out your hand and reach out to your rescuer above, for surely there is a rescuer. Surrender completely, and calmly because unlike the murky waters of any of the 5 oceans, the harder you kick and gasp in panic here, the further you drown.

However, understand that the elements can only conspire for you through you. So take the leap, take the risk, and be willing to sacrifice. Any achievement without the leap, risk or sacrifice is routine, ordinary, and devoid of any flavour worth savouring or living for.

We know what makes our bad thoughts go away. We know we lie when we moan we are tired. We know, but we don't show. Show off a bit.

3 visual scenarios form in my head at any moment in time. The first is me completely submerged in a lake called 'The Ideal yet Unknown and Unexplored Future'. In the second visual I see my feet in these turbulent waters, but head out in the open, real and present world. The third shows me walking along the shore, totally immersed in the known, the visible, the present. The first gives me the greatest rush, kick and excitement. The second feels strange, and the third can sometimes get boring.

But none of these scare me. It's similar to what you would do on a typical day out, on a picnic with friends at Loch Lomond. Dive in, splash around with your feet or run like mad along the shore...the big picture does not change, the scenery will remain as beautiful as ever.

These days it finally feels like the final phase of a journey. When I try to think of how close I have become to the people of Glasgow, I am gently prodded by something inside. Prodded and patted and soon I forget. I am reminded closeness can never be consciously created, anticipated or destroyed. It can only be felt when it arrives. It will overwhelm, but only to the extent required. It will leave unannounced without a bitter taste in the mouth or heart. It will return quietly through the back door and not crash the gate.

You will not have to wait. It will never be late. It is all something like fate. Why judge, why think, why should we rate? We love the feeling, and the waiting. Yes... it's all very great.

Someplace you must be vulnerable, humble and posess a small sweet desire to be in the delirious company of well-wishers. Sometimes you must forget to read signs, and be stubbornly innocent and gullible. Part and parcel of the peaceful mind is the playfulness and fickle nature of the heart. Draw upon it in abundance because it unobtrusively supersedes logic. This is your birthright that paves the path to pure intent, love and energy.

Seeking opportunities to love rather than responsibilities to change is much easier, and is in fact the first step. If you believe in taking one step at a time and are having trouble keeping your emotions in check, have a go at such paradigm shift. The wiser we become, the lesser we need to speak, change or emote. To make this rhyme, let me say that only God has the remote. Anyway, it's more fun loving than worrying about change. Even if you think its your responsibility, very often its not. Live light, love heavy.

Move (emotionally) the Lord directly, and not through His subsidiaries. Networking is necessary, because we receive His grace through others. However, hankering for approval amongst fellow beings can become a dangerous obsession if not checked beyond the need to raise self-esteem. In any case, the word 'self' in self-esteem implies an inward orientation. In this age of direct marketing, market yourself directly to the Lord within. As with commercial direct marketing, the success rate is definitely higher, feedback is more personalised and the customer (our Lord) is more content, satisfied and happy.

Once you have learnt to dream, it is impossible to unlearn or forget. It is possible to reach that special place with someone, or over something almost at will, like flicking a switch to turn the lights on. Hence, we know because we have experienced this, that dreams can be as comforting and soothing as Kashmiri wool, as warm as Thai hospitality and as bright as the Carribean sun. However, dreaming at length impedes on the present and short-term priorities. We all know this, yet we rely on non-stop daydreaming to keep our engines running. Fear not, because you are not a flickering tubelight. Empower yourself to dream when appropriate, when needed most. Such are the capabilities of the human mind, that we must remember, everything is only one switch away.

In the current whirldwind of tragedy and frantic action, generations ahead will look back in shock the same way the present generation views the two World Wars and previous natural disasters that have led to much death and destruction. Has mankind been truly and finally humbled? Was such an event necessary to unite fragmented nations, continents and ideas? Yes, we will rise and move together to the next level. Today, it is a race against time to prevent further deaths as every record in Man's history is being broken. But tomorrow holds the greater challenge of forgetting, restoring and rebuilding, not alone, but together as one.
