Tie Dye Easter Eggs

I saw this way cute tutorial on Our Best Bites to dye Easter Eggs using silk ties! I told my friend Crystal about it and she totally went for it and boiled some eggs, got the ties and the white fabric. I wish I could take more credit but all I did was cut a couple ties up and tie a few of the strings on top. We found that when we tied strings on both ends rather than just the one, the pattern looked better on the sides. Also, the tutorial says to use raw eggs because you boil them anyways but we accidentally broke a few while we were wrapping them up and were glad they were boiled.

The favorite ended up being the red & blue paisley because it showed up the best. On some of the eggs, even though the fabric was right up against the egg, some of the ties had blurryish spots. The only thing we could thing of was they washed the ties with fabric softener or something.
Happy Easter!

Bills Girls - Spring Edition

My friend Crystal let me practice some more with my camera by taking pictures of her girls. What a great friend huh! She has some bunnies and a bunch of colored eggs we were going to add in but that never happened. As if these girls need any props to make it cuter.

Tin Foil Headboard / Sofa Table

I wanted a table underneath my Calendar to hold markers and to help it out a little visually. I looked around for something but it was either too expensive and/or hideous. So, off to the DI we go. My SIL Jen made did this technique to a bookshelf and it turned out A-Maze-Ing so I was looking for something to do. We got the idea from here and I have so many more ideas from that gold mine. $18 dollars later and this is what I ended up with.
Dallin was no too excited but I could see it had some potential.

Italian Crockpot Chicken

It was the Relief Society birthday party earlier this month and this is what they served. I missed it but I guess so many people asked for the recipe, they made a bunch of copies and passed them out at church. It's super easy and anything that can go straight from the freezer/can into the oven/crockpot is my kind of meal.

Prep Time: 5 min.
Cook Time: 4-8 hours

4 chicken breasts
1 - 8oz. package of cream cheese (softened)
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 dry package of Italian Salad dressing

-Put Chicken in crockpot.
-Cream together other 3 ingredients and pour over chicken.
-Cook on high 4 hours or low for 6-8.
-The last 1/2 hour shred chicken or cut up into bite size pieces.
-Serve over rice, penne or mashed potatoes.

New Camera!

I finally got my Dream Camera! A Nikon D90!

There was a good deal at Costco for a Kit with 2 lenses, a bag and a memory card. This has been on my Vision Board forever and it's the first thing I have accomplished from it. I have lots to learn but I'm having fun doing it.

Here are some fave's from my first "Photo Shoots" (and I use that term loosely). I'm at the point where I just take a whole bunch of pictures (500) and hope for the best. Like I said, I have lots to learn. Photoshop is my best friend right now.
