WINTER FUN!!

While the girls were here it snowed the entire weekend. We got about 6 to 8 inches of snow at our house. So we went and bought a sled and got the girls bundled up!! It was like Ralphie in the "Christmas Story". They were so bundled they could hardly move. Tim took the girls and dragged them around the front and back yard. Here are a few photos of our adventures!!

Cousin Love

This past weekend we had my nieces while my sister went to Las Vegas. Reily is 7 and Rian is 15 months, about 6 weeks older than Payton. So it was like having twins!! The nice thing is they keep each other entertained. The bad thing is they don't know how to share quite yet (or should I say Payton does not know how to share) :-) And Reily was the little helper! She was AWESOME!! She kept those girls so busy! Payton loves her so much. When she got here we put a mattress upstairs in Payton's room. Reily and Payton jumped on it and they just kept giggling.

We also have a scooter toy and they played on that the entire weekend. They pushed each other around, Payton even pushed Reily around. She a toughie!! Tim also pushed them around and "drifted" with them. They loved it!!

I had no idea how much work a 1st grader can be. We had homework, lunch to pack, breakfast to make and getting ready for school! Thank heavens for my dad and Aunt Patty that came and took her to school. This was nice seeing that I still had to get the girls ready for daycare and me ready for work!!

We had a fun weekend! It was a lot of work but I think they had a lot of fun!!

Fall photos

Last month we took Payton up Butterfield Canyon to take some pictures in the leaves. There is not a better season in Utah than the fall!! These are some of my favorite photos that we took that day. She did not mind the leaves at all. Tim was getting a work out jumping around and making her laugh.

Carving Pumpkins

Today we went to the pumpkin patch with Payton. She had so much fun!! She wanted to walk the whole time. She really did not care to ride in the wheelbarrow. We took her in her Halloween costume.
When we go home we carved pumpkins...Payton wasn't so sure but she had fun pounding on them. I think she liked being on the counter and finding the keys and the cell phones more. It was like a treasure hunt for her.

Here are a few pictures...I will post the final projects tomorrow when they are lit up!

Happy Birthday Payton!!

Payton is one today!! My Big girl is growing up so quick!! My how quickly time flies! She is walking and talking. We are having so much fun with her right now. She is now saying Hi.

We are having her party on Friday so I will post some photos later.

ALOHA, We're in Hawaii!!

I am blogging at 4:00 in the morning (Utah time) from Hawaii!! Tim & I are in Maui for a few days and then we head to Lanai. We arrived tonight at 7:00 PM, got our luggage, got our car and headed to Costco. I know kinda strange but if you have ever been to Hawaii then you will know that the food is expensive. We are staying in a condo on Napili Bay ... and will be BBQ at the beach these next couple of days. We are getting ready to go to bed so that we can go to the beach in the morning and sleep on the sand :-), rough life, I know!

But one thing is rough.... This will be the longest I have ever been away from Payton :-( She is staying with my parents while we are away. She has been sick and last night had a very high fever. So I put her in bed with Tim & I last night and she woke up at 9:00 AM (yes, I said 9:00 AM) with no fever. She is the BEST SLEEPER ever!! But I have spoken to Grandma and she is doing much better. YEA!! We will see how the week goes :-)

Aloha!

Guess who's walking??

Last weekend we gave Payton her Birthday present (her birthday is not until October 30th) but...it was a push toy. Tim has been very eager for her to walk!! She loves the toy it plays music, and she can ride on it or walk behind it. The best is she will turn the toy so that she does not run into the walls and if she gets stuck she will back out with the toy. She is so SMART! So last Sunday she began taking a few steps on her own about 4 or 5. Then last Wednesday she walked about 10 steps and last night she is all over! She is a bit wobbly but is doing pretty good at getting around on her own. We love it! She is so happy that she knows how to walk and Tim & I will say "YEA" and she will stand there and clap.

Two teeth!!

My pookie bear, Payton, has finally gotten another tooth in. Her teeth did not start coming in until she was 9 months. The first one was not too bad. We were in Vegas and we thought she just had a cold. Her fever got high and she was a little restless. But then when I felt in her mouth I finally felt her first tooth!! That was Labor day weekend. Last Sunday Tim, Payton & I were taking a nap. (Sunday naps are the BEST!!) Payton woke up SCREAMING!! This was so unlike her. So as a mom I am checking to see if she has hurt anything and she just kept putting her hand in her mouth. So I checked her little mouth and you could see the 2nd tooth pushing through. She was upset for about 15 minutes and then she was off to play. I hope that they are all like that. :-)

The squealing

So Payton goes to daycare Monday through Friday, yes I am a working mom!! But I love my job and Payton LOVES the kids at daycare, so it all works out well!! She goes to a lady that does it out of her home and has done so for many years. Her cousin Rian, who is 6 weeks older than Payton goes to daycare with her!! We LOVE it!!
Typically I drop her off (of course it is like 9:30 - 10:00 am before I get there...yes this is why I love my job!) When we arrive the kids are SOOOO excited and they all squeal and say "Payton's Here" It is the most adorable thing to see a group of 2 to 4 year olds get so excited!!
The best has been lately...for the past couple of days when I go and get her, she stands at the gate in front of the door and when she sees me she squeals with joy and bounces or "dances" as I call it. It is the CUTEST thing ever!! I LOVE IT!!

Meet the rest of the family...

I come home everyday to 4 excited dogs each day, Daisy, Punkin, Sweet Pea, and Stitch.
I know what you are thinking, 4 dogs...yep! You could say I am the WORST breeder. We started out with Punkin. He was my Christmas present 4 years ago. Six months later came Daisy....he needed a friend...At least that is what I told Tim. Well needless to say we had our first set of puppies in August. There were 3 puppies...One is with my mom, Turbo, and one is with our builder. And well Sweet Pea stayed with us.

Princess, Turbo and Sweet Pea

Then came the second litter in April the next year...Sunshine is with my sister, Stitch is with us, Belle went to my boss and DJ (Deck Jumper) is with my mom....

Stitch, Sunshine, DJ, Belle

and snip, snip NO MORE LITTERS! :-)
I told you I was a terrible breeder!! But I will tell you this, that once you have raised 2 litters of puppies...kids are a breeze!! You may laugh but Tim & I got up more with the puppies then with Payton..maybe it just prepared us for what was ahead :-)

Welcome to our blog!

I'm Blogging.... Wow, Where life is taking us. I am not a myspace person and when I started to see all of my family blogs I thought this was great. (If I can keep on top of it) I have enjoyed reading and seeing what is going on in everyone's life.

THANKS for the inspiration!

Life is so busy now a days and this is one of the best ways for people to see what is going on and how big Payton is getting. Especially since both Grandma's are out of town so much. My mom lives 10 minutes away, but Grandma is never home :-( (Just kidding mom, I love ya)

We are new parents to our adorable Payton, (I'm a little biased) But what parent isn't? She is now 10 months. Wow time goes by so quickly. I know everyone tells you that life changes after baby, but until you experience it for yourself you just don't understand. We LOVE being parents. Payton is truly a happy baby...we feel so LUCKY.

I hope you enjoy the blog :-)
