Snowman

Hannah has begged to make a snowman ever since we got the first snowfall. This morning before church we quickly whipped one up, she couldn't be happier!

It snowed!

This morning Hannah went sledding with her cousins and had a blast. I just can't believe it, there is so much snow that when I shovel the driveway it is full of snow by the time I am done!

The Santa Parade

Today Santa Clause came to town! Hannah was so excited to see Santa coming to the mall in a parade, though she was a little disappointed he came in a fire truck instead of a sleigh. We had a good morning watching the parade, meeting Santa, eating breakfast and doing a little shopping. She also insisted she ride the merry-go-round, and of course, she did :)

This is the good life

Tonight while folding clothes on my bed Hannah decided to kick back and put her feet up. I looked over and saw her amidst the pillows with her feet up on the laundry basket eating the leftover cheese from her cheese and crackers --- it was just too funny, I had to snap a shot!

Halloween

This year Hannah decided to be Cinderella. However, she had nowhere near the attitude of Cinderella, as you can see in the picture, she was tired before even beginning the night. She made out with lots of candy thanks to her grandparents and the ward trunk-or-treat. Overall, the best part was she got to go trick-or-treating with her cousins Mia and KJ.

Halloween cookies

When Hannah woke up this morning the only thing she wanted to do was to make cookies. She wouldn't give in so I finally did. Here's the product...I think she did pretty well with the smiles on the pumpkins!

The wedding

Kolby's brother got remarried last night and we got some fun pictures of Hannah and her cousins Grace and Mia, I barely got a picture of the doves they released, they fly faster than my little Olympus camera can shutter!

Talking to Mia

Hannah's best friend in the whole world is her cousin Mia, who is not quite a year older than her. This is a picture of her talking to Mia on the phone, if only you could see how she is crossing her legs! She is too funny sometimes.

Playing in the dark

Hannah loves to be outside, it doesn't matter what the temperature is. The other night she begged for a solid 45 minutes to go ride her "bike." I hesitate to agree because I have to jog around the neighborhood to keep up with her, honestly! She is a speed demon on that thing. Anyway, she decided to ride it on our driveway and play in the front yard instead, so I snapped a few shots of her playing with her baby pumpkin, which she later tried to put in her "secret place" and take it for a ride too.

While Mommy's away....

I had to go out of town for two weeks in September for work, and I am just now looking at the pictures on the camera (that we finally found), and to my surprise, I found some very interesting things!

I wish I had an explanation, but sometimes my blondies can only giggle when I ask them what they were doing!

The candy message and flowers were on the table to greet me when I got home from my trip, awww, so sweet!

Hannah's first day of school

Hannah has officially started pre-school! It was a bittersweet day on Tuesday because neither Kobly or I could take her since we have to work. Luckily my mom is going to be taking her. When I picked her up she told me about the letter 'C' and showed me some paintings. She also gets to do gymnastics each week with her pre-school, and I think she liked that a lot. However, all the excitement and structure was a little more than she was used to and she fell asleep on the way home (notice how she has her legs crossed, she's always crossing them in her carseat, even when she was little, her little trademark I guess.)

Time to move?

So, the camera is still missing, but Kolby and I haven't really looked that hard. Although, we have established it was his fault, so if it comes to buying a new camera I can give him a dirty look. Anyway, we found a house that we absolutely love a few miles from our current home, so we've put our house up for sale. However, I have mixed feelings about it. I really love our neighborhood, our ward, our location, etc. I even love my house, but I want a laundry room (not a laundry closet), a real backyard and a 2 car garage. Does everyone have these feelings of reservation when moving? Or am I just being a wimp. It is such a big financial decision and will uproot us from all the people we know. Advice anyone?

Time for a new post!

I wish I had something exciting to post since it's been over a month! BUT, I really don't. Hannah and I went to Fish Lake again, most beautiful place ever. We're all still adjusting to me working full-time, Kolby started a new semester at school, and Hannah will start pre-school for the first time next week :) (That makes me feel old to have a child in school...) No new pictures as I've temporarily misplaced the camera, but I have the battery charged and ready for when I find it. I wish I had it for last weekend when we went to the dinosaur park in Ogden, Hannah loved it. I will try to put up some pictures before I leave to California for two weeks of training in September. I hope you are all doing well!

Happy Birthday Kolby

Saturday is Kolby's 27th birthday and he has to work while Hannah and I vacation in Fish Lake. However, we celebrated his birthday Wednesday and all he wanted was a homemade chocolate c cake, so here it is!

Hide and seek

This is Hannah's idea of hide and seek, looks like her bum just doesn't understand the whole "hide" concept :)

Movin on up!

Hannah is growing at such a rapid rate that we can't keep up with her in clothes! However, we decided it was time to move from the toddler bed to a "big girl bed." I'm finally getting some REM sleep in since she is sleeping in her own bed now, it's great! Here are some pictures...

Fish Lake

We went to Fish Lake last week and had tons of fun. We rode horses, went 4-wheeling, fishing and shooting. I caught 2 fish, Kolby got skunked and Hannah didn't get to try since she wasn't feeling well. Unfortunately all the activities were enough to distract me from taking pictures :(

This is the only shot I got, 4 of the girls eating a popsicle at the Bowery Haven.

Strawberry Days Parade

Hannah's dance studio put together a float for the Strawberry Days parade. She was so excited to ride on the float, however, she kept asking for her swimming suite to ride the "floatie." It took some time to convince her that it wasn't a blow up floatie for the pool. She had fun, even if the parade took a couple of hours in the hot sun. Here are some pictures of her and cousin Mia on the float and eating popsicles in the car afterward.

Father's Day

We had a very nice Father's Day, Kolby especially (well, we would all hope so anyway!). Hannah and I put together some cupcakes for Kolby, got him a Swiss Army watch (which is way too big, anyone know how to remove a few links?), and we spent the day with extended family all over the valley. Here is a picture of Kolby with his 3 favorite things, the RAIDERS, a football, and his Voodoo Blue FJ Cruiser.

The mommy in a leotard!

Hannah loves her new baby stroller so much...but she also loves her new dance class, and wouldn't take her dance clothes off until bed-time. So, when she insisted on taking her baby for a walk this week, she did it in her leotard. I thought she looked so funny with her underwear showing through her leotard, I just had to snap the shot!

Yuba Lake

On Monday we went with my family to Yuba Lake for a day of wave-running and hanging out at the beach. We had a lot of fun, Hannah loves the water and sand. It was nice to have the whole family there (Mitch and his wife are in town for now.)

Hannah's b-day celebration-Part I

So this year we decided we weren't going to do a "party" becuase they are too much work and people feel obligated to bring presents. SO, we decided to do cupcakes and ice-cream with the grandparents Sunday night. Well, it turned out to be more people, which was a great surprise, and we all had fun. Hannah wanted a baby stroller, which she got, as well as a baby crib, a new baby, a piggy bank, some clothes, a bubble gun and a very soft new blanket with monkeys on it. I got to sing to her several times so she could keep blowing the candles out, but I don't mind. Tomorrow on her actual birthday (June 11) we are headed to Yuba lake for some more fun, I'll keep you posted!

5 generations...

The girls in my family got their act together. We finally got our five generations for a sit down and got a picture or two. We are so blessed...(it helps when we all started our families early too!)

Sunday at Ophir cabin

Sunday afternoon we got together with the family for a weiner roast at the Ophir cabin. The kids had a lot of fun playing on the swingset and in the dirt, as you can see! But when you are a kid, the more dirt that is involved means it must be more fun...
