Happy 29th, Tal!

On Friday,  Tally turned 29. That means this is his last "good" year, haha.
We had a party with family and friends, which was great. We are blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives. I forgot candles and to take a picture of LOTS of things, but these are the few I managed to snap.

I love Camie's face here

Our friends we met in Switzerland, the Mascaros

Our neighbors just behind us - the kids LOVE to play together! YAY!

Friends & Cousins

Our friends Racie & Ratha

If you were there and not pictured, I'm sorry. It's because I can't do more than 16 things at a time ;)

Something I want to remember about this last year with Tally is how much he ACCOMPLISHED!

Went canyoning in Interlaken
Did a guys trip to Italy
He did his first triathlon
Became a father of TWO, his first son
Visited Austria
Climbed Kilimanjaro (climbkili.com)
Was diagnosed with skin cancer, got a huge chunk of his arm removed, and then told it wasn't cancer
Moved internationally
Bought his first home

Am I missing anything?

I am so proud of him and what he has accomplished. When he sets his mind and body to something, he doesn't stop. I love his determination...well, most of the time.

So his first full day of being 29, he started off with a bang. He rode 75 miles for the MS ride in Logan with the Goldman Sachs team. Though it was hard waking up at 4:45 today to drive up, he was really glad he did it on the way back. The kids and I went up there with him and went swimming with Jodi & Brody while the guys rode. Tal and I are hoping to do it together next year. It's such a great cause and, according to Tal, a beautiful, fun ride.

As I write this, he's playing golf with his brother. Then tonight we're supposed to go on a hot date - if he's not too tired. Just dinner and a movie. But we don't do that enough so I'm excited. Here are the pics from today (can you believe I'm posting same day!?).

Chalk is for eating, and teething

Here are some events, projects, and pictures from the month of June.

I was inside cleaning up the kitchen when I heard these two giggling outside. I smiled and thought how nice it is to have two to entertain eachother. I peeked out to watch them laugh and I didn't know whether to scream, cry or LAUGH. I did a little of both and let them carry on until I got my camera. You may have to double click on the picture to see it...they're eating chalk. Kelsey was FEEDING it to Aiden.

Kelsey is so cute about her belly. She'll say, "I have a BIG belly." I'll ask her if she likes her big belly and she says,  "YEAH!" Me too, lil darlin.

This is how Aiden rides the scooter...with his hand! Like that that skateboarding dog, it's precious.

One of the fun things about living in Utah is being close to family!

YUM!!

We had our friends the Phillips and Connellys over for dinner and birthday cake on Sunday night. It was fun (as usual) to get the crew together. Only this time we had a lot more kids than we did 7 years ago...

My poor baby already has SIX teeth and he's getting more. Here he is at 3am. Soon after, he was fast asleep again.

What?

Who me?

Sound asleep...

Mom!? What are you doing in here taking a picture of me?

I totally woke him up, so much for a sleeping picture

Peek-a-Boo!

My handsome little man, 11 months old

ALOHA!
My parents went to Hawaii for the first time and brought these back

WB is off, but aren't they cute!?

She loves to be "helpful" and bring little bro back for me.
Poor Aiden hates it.
Who's idea was this? Grandma's first, today Kelsey's.

She was on cloud nine while he was screaming, trying to get out.
He ESCAPED!
A whole new world to explore...the FRONT yard

I dislike sandboxes b/c of the mess they can bring to a house.
SO, our sandboxes become a mini pool in the Summer.

Kelsey is a big fan. Aiden doesn't like cold water being poured on him by his sister. Go figure.

SCISSORS! Kelsey helping Oma and I in the yard.

Red stuff on her face...YUMMY

A MOOSE!

We saw these on our way up to Silver Lake for a Sunday afternoon picnic

Such a little girl

A swim day with her cousins (my cousin's kids)
See why we were surprised to have a boy?

Aiden and I having a moment. My cousin Holly took this, isn't she great?

We went with Tal's cousin Allie and her baby G to This is the Place Heritage Park
It is like stepping back into time...to the time of the Mormon Pioneers.
Here is a statue of Joseph Smith talking about going out west with Brigham Young
Kelsey got to learn how to wash and dry her own clothes

This used to be the family bed. I forgot how many people lived in this house but it was something like 13.
It was hardly the size of my kids' bedroom.

We took a train ride around the place but it became a bit difficult with Aiden wanting to walk around and baby G crying. Kelsey liked it though! It was a HOT day...

Kelsey found this little rocking chair and started rocking her baby
I guess I should get her one for her room!

Allie & baby G

Kelsey helping to print the newspaper

It was amazing to me how they had to set every letter, punctuation, etc.

Kelsey went to her first party "by herself." It was her cousin Edie's party who lives down the street from us. It had a princess theme and we had to make a quick stop at Walmart for a princess dress. I didn't realize she'd grown out of her Tinkerbell one. I guess it's time to step into the princess world. I forgot my camera so this is my friend's camera phone

Then I snapped a few when we got home. She LOVED walking around in those SHOES!!

I've been trying to get my house the way I like it, but it takes a lot more time & money than I thought.
Aiden's room BEFORE
This crib is currently for sale if anyone wants it

Aiden's room AFTER, well, in progress. I need to put in pictures up and stuff
Any ideas?

We had our ducts cleaned...this was what came out

We had our house numbers re-painted
(yes, they are there in real life, I took them out for privacy)
