I've been completely obsessed with pennants lately.  I am sooooo getting one of these gorgeous necklaces sometime soon.

And what about these gorgeous pennants.

Then there's Emily Green's work.  I already own a few of her pieces, but I'm thinking I may need to add Jane to my collection.  My best friend's name was Jane.

Coming to the end of my Hello Soul, Hello Business e-course.  This course has been the best investment I  have ever made in my creative business.  I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone who wants to bring their creative dreams to life.

Getting ready to re-launch my Etsy shop next week.  It was on the to-do list for February and I'm finally ready to make it happen.  This year has taught me so much about patience and trust already.

Looking forward to Made n' Thornbury market next weekend.  I'm having a stall and will have lots of gorgeous new goodies to share.

Feeling motivated.  Feeling big.  Feel focused. Feeling sure.

My beautiful word of the year necklace from Liz Lamaroux and Kelly Barton.  I feel 'nourished' every time I wear it.

Celebrating 4 years of blogging this week.  It all started here and WOW what an amazing, life changing, soul defining journey it has taken me on.

Dana's new ARTFULL sketchbook e-course.  I love seeing friends spread their wings and fly.  It's ridiculously affordable too.  I am so signing up for this one.  Check out the great video she made about it too.

Chrissy's annual heart and seek project.  There's something so lovely about seeking out hearts and love everywhere.

Getting back into running again.  I'm doing the couch to 5k program and I love it.  I seriously love running.  I always wanted to run and I always thought I'd never be able to.  And now I can.  Ah, we so underestimate ourselves hey?

 

Making the last big push to get ready for the exhibition opening next week.  I've even got a fancy pants artist page over on the Red Brick website.  Feeling like a real artist much? Anyway, you should totes come along to the opening if you can.

 

Settling in to 2012, finding my rhythm and enjoying what feels like a busy but more fluid way of working and living.

 

Anticipating dinner with my favourite lady at my favourite food van this evening.

Kicking starting my new year with the Soul Business Sessions co-hosted by Beth Nicholls and Kelly Rae Roberts.  For years I've struggled to create a business plan for myself using traditional notions of business and planning.  I'm so excited for what this course will hold for me and my fledgling enterprise.  It feels like the timing is perfect.

CurlyPops latest endeavour.  I'm going to post my answers to the questions tomorrow.  Please join in and help this important cause.

Andrea's trip to Mexico.  I can remember how long she's been talking about wanting to paint and I'm so excited that she's taking this bold step.

Hatching a stupendously cool new project with three awesome women.

Feeling strong and grounded and more certain as I make my way into this new year.

Putting my custom 'word of the year' paintings out there into the world.  I'm crazy proud of these babies.

Ok, I'm off to my favourite art shop to buy supplies.

• getting my 'word of the year' necklace in the mail this week.  i love having a touchstone to remind me of my focus.
• my word of the year.  it feels so strong and so right for this year.
• walking the talk on my word of the year and getting stuck into some of the things on my fabulously big list.

• our christmas present finally arriving on back order.  i don't think the oven or stove top will be seeing much action for a while.

• receiving the most gorgeous new handbag from Lara at Thornberry.  We did a swap of a painting for a handbag and she dropped my bag over last week.  i haven't been without it since.  Don't you just love a swap?

• buying some original art from my friend Michelle from Pipi La La.  I've loved her art and her blog for ages and Chuck Bass stole my heart.

• allowing myself time and space to find my feet in my new job
• exercising
• reading
• signing up for Mati and Lisa's new paint class 'Get Your Paint On'
• feeling the solidity of my friendships
• planning a really amazing and meaningful celebration/s for my 40th birthday
• planning an absolutely incredible treat for myself.  i'll spill the beans on that one soon.

• nearly selling out at my exhibition. There's only 2 paintings left - Reef and I Listen To Birds. If you can't make it to the show but you're interested in purchasing one of the remaining pieces feel free to get in touch.
• getting the test prints of my work done this week. I'm gobsmacked by the quality. I can't wait to get my online shop open (hopefully next week!).
• dining at Wabi Sabi last night.
• taking lots of time out this week to rest, relax, be. I've realised recently how challenging I find it to stop but I'm learning how necessary it is to sustain myself, and I'm totally committed to the idea of taking great care of myself.
• counting the sleeps till we have a week away in Port Douglas. It was on my wish list for this year and thanks to a little bit of magic we've made it happen.
• feeling balance return after a topsy-turvy month.
• playing around with some new paintings.
• seeing my Exquisite Palette piece in the window at St Luke this morning. Seriously, a piece of my art in a shop window! The exhibition looks amazing. It's worth a trip to Smith St if you're in the hood.
• entertaining the notion that perhaps struggle is not an essential part of my life.
• plans for a Korean dinner with Ms L this evening.
• the arrival of the weekend.

Things I'm Diggin'

My fabulous destroyed cowl from Myrtle & Eunice.  Oh how I love it.  I don't want to take it off.  In fact I haven't really, apart from when I sleep.

My Vintage Button Scarflette from Sheeps Clothing.  This winter is going to be all about the scarflette and the cowl.

Mondo Beyondo.  I wrote a new Mondo Beyondo list the other day choc full of big dreams.  How I love to dream big dreams.  I think I'm going to sign up for the new Mondo Beyondo Dream Lab as well.

Flying Lessons with Kelly Rae Roberts.  It started today and I can already tell it's going to be great.  I'm going to create an e-course someday.  About writing the contents of your heart.

Exercise.  I'm learning how to run.  I know, it sounds a bit weird.  Like, what do you need to learn?  Don't you just do it (that's certainly what Nike suggested!)?  Maybe it's better to say I'm practicing running with the intent of being able to run for periods of time.  And I'm getting better at it too.

Seeing my incredible creative friends launch themselves into their creative dreams. It's inspiring in the very best kind of ways.

Things I'm Diggin'

This amazing collage that Kat from I Saw You Dancing made for me. Kat's made of the good stuff I tell you. She's super talented and big-time brave. Go and check out her Mondo Beyondo list. Talk about knowing how to dream big, live large and put it all out there. I felt so inspired reading her list.

The Northern Craft Bonanza. Our crafty group is really growing wings. Such good people and such a lovely, relaxing time. I'm already looking forward to being back there soon.

Finishing work today. I am officially a free woman for 3 whole weeks.

Ms L. I wouldn't be going on my trip if it wasn't for Ms L saying 'go for it, no seriously go for it'. She's encouraged, coaxed and supported me every step of the way. I'm going to miss her so much while I'm away. It's been a long time since we've spent a big chunk of time apart and I'll miss sharing this adventure with her first hand. Gina at Clutterpunk wrote the most beautiful post about the vulnerability that comes with being in love. It's stayed with me that post. Gina always gets me thinking.

New blog finds

I Saw You Dancing a new blogger and kindred spirit. I connected with her ideas and words immediately. The best bit of the story is that The Creative Beast, who lives in LA, introduced us, and we live in North Fitzroy and Thornbury. How cool is that?

{the penny has dropped} I adore this blog. My love affair first began when I saw her letter to her fear.
