aNNika

This little angel went into nursery today at church. I can't believe she is old enough! Where does the time go? Before I know it, she'll be off to college. She handled it really well too. She didn't cry or anything. What a good baby!

P.S. It is now official. It is settled with the state. Annika is spelled with 2 n's. (In case you are confused, Annika started out as Zoe Ann and then was Anika Drew and now is Annika Drew[because it is phonetically correct and yes we should have thought about that before]. Let's all pray she does not grow up with a identity complex!) Also, in case you are wondering, the state says if we change her name any more we will have to go to court! :) I wonder what the laws are in Kentucky.....just kidding!

Tina's Birthday

Today is Christina's birthday, and we had a good celebration. First, the kids and I made her breakfast in bed and then they played for a bit while I went to school. At lunchtime, we got food from the Fiesta Mexican grill (it was really good!) and Christina went with her friend Sarah to get a new haircut (which you can see above--and does she look hot or what?) Then Sarah graciously watched our kids while Christina and I went to a matinee (thanks a lot, Sarah!). After that, we came home and ate and then had our friends over for cake and ice cream. After the kids went to bed, our friends Skyler and Lindsey came over and brought Christina a gift and some cupcakes.

It was a great day. Happy Birthday Tina, I love ya!

Catch Up

We haven't posted anything in quite awhile, so I thought I would marathon post today. Here are a bunch of posts of what we've been up to...

Cruel mother nature

We were able to get out and enjoy the nice weather for a few days. It was wonderful! Then today we woke up to snow. That's just mean!!

Just checkin' the mail.

P.S. My mom made this sweater 30 sum years ago for my brother Brad. Isn't it cute?

Signed!

It's official! Jonathan will be gainfully employed next year!! He signed his contract with NKU. We are really excited to start this next phase of our lives. Wanna know why? Top ten reasons:
1. bigger apartment- or dare I say...House??
2. OWN a house someday??
3. shop at Whole foods market
4. buy new clothes- and not on clearance
5. won't qualify for any government programs
6. Jonathan will have his dream job
7. save money for kids
8. save money for retirement
9. good insurance
10. all kinds of cool stuff to do in Cinci

We're excited.

Cupcakes!

The kids helped me make cupcakes to take to Ezra's preschool to celebrate his birthday.  And of course they had to be taste tested first! I think they liked them-- don't you think?

Ezra-A year in review.

So here is Ezra's  Year-in-Review (long over due). First here are some photos of each of his birthdays:
Three years old!
Two years old
One year old
2 days old

This past year has been a whirlwind of accomplishments made by Ezra. Here are some highlights: (This is for posterity's sake, not for bragging.)

He was potty trained!!
He learned a billion new words.
He learned how to jump and run and climb all over the playground equipment all by himself. He also climbs very well now.
He started preschool.
He started going to sunbeams.
He can write his name.
He can ride a tricycle.
He's a very helpful older brother.
He draws things now, not just scribbles.
He started telling stories.
He knows all his letters and can count to ten.
He can cut with scissors very well.
He figured out how to work the computer in like ten minutes.
He can babysit his sister while I vacuum and take the trash out.
He is a very responsible three year old.
He has quite a few books memorized.

A very busy year I must say!
