this, i know its not very clear. But its actually a oil painting that my mum did. super uber nice i tell you. sigh. if only her daughter got half her artistic skills la.

hmm...after reviewing them. i think they turned out pretty ok! finally a phone camera that works! :)

And you know, i really know why people who watch alot of news suffer from mean world effect. Cause there is only bloodshed, fighting, violence being replayed at every news broadcast. How not to feel depress and pessimistic? :( world peace may be overrated, but you have no idea how badly we need it.

but sometimes it seems peace can only be achieve through more blood and violence.

oh, the irony of it all.

this has been a hectic week because of all the fun and i havent even had the time to blog about it! so here goes!

monday/ tuesday:

I had HI orientation for the new volunteers at pasir ris park/chalet. Three weeks of hard work finally materialised. :) I glad everyone had fun. I may not be getting to know the new volunteers better, but i got to know so many more people from my batch. It was terribly fun just being around them. The late night ghost stories, the 3am k-car that pissed off all who were sleeping( ha!!), the hilarious 2 man indian poker with a bag of ice tea, and who can forget the mess they made with all the water bombs? :) i wish i had photos!

wednesday:

I almost couldnt wake up today. I seriously knocked out from the camp. went for CS DnD at MOS. What can i say? It was a excellent affair, way better than i expected and kudos to JJ who is a fantastic emcee! It was a night of laughter, fun and support for our frens! And the QnA for pagent was uber funny. hahaha. I must admit though, clubbing and me dun appear on the same line. I make the worse clubbing fren thanks to my total inabilty to dance. i suck i know. hoho . oh yes yes...photos!

thursday:
Met my secondary school frens for afternoon lunch and shopping. Its amazing thinking of how long i've known them. Gwen for about 8 years, xiu for 7 and wee for urm..20! haha We may not meet often, but im think of you guys lots. <3

then it was off for a thank you dinner with the HI peeps at guilin. Ok..the food was well...acceptable, but nothing to shout about. The company made up for it though. And while watching the videos of all the RSP, it reminded me why i love being with these people. They are all unpretentious, down-to-earth and all brought tgt by a common interest. Sometimes when i think of going away for exchange, of not being able to go for COR or CURL and OVE, it kind of makes me sad. Im going to miss them very very much. The satuarday sessions, the dinner, the special projects and the excellent leadership that i see in the group. You know there is dedication when they bother to write 80-90( im estimating the numbers) thank you cards to each and every one of us. Thanks you guys for all the fun and good times. :)

Friday:

Shopping with daph! We kind of got distracted at kino. hee hee. oh then it was off to little india with ah bear and daph as we went for threading and henna all in prep for dear leigh's birthday! It was again another night of LOUD noisy fun with the CS peeps. I think its quite impossible to ever get us to shut up. haha but you know, its really nice to see them outside of school, the feeling is just different. :) Oh and happy birthday leigh! i hope you had loads of fun and thank you for inviting us all! You looked very pretty that night( not like you dun always look good.) :D

IM TIRED. i knew i should have updated everyday. haha should learn from lays. during the hols become so efficent in updating seh. :P Im too lazy to continue already. time to get started on org com essay leh. I want mr yap to give me 100 marks for my paper! YEY!

mid term break begins!

holiday!! wow. I think i speak for alot of people when i say that i thought i wouldnt have survived last week! Amazing how 6 weeks of content was enough to kill me. I dun know how i did, but at the moment, who cares? hah

It was such a pleasant feeling to be sleeping in on sat. And then going for a swim. ok..the swim was kind of painful. It was like being caught in a bad traffic jam. -_- full of inexperience drivers. So many young kids!

and talking about driving....you know, i dun know what im scared of. Driving or driving with my dad. Today i was supposed to take a drive with my dad, just to practise( since miss quek has had her license for like 8 months but still barely touch the car). I dun understand why i felt so terrified. It felt worse than going for driving lessons. :( It was so bad, that i dreamt abt it last night. sighz. THEN it rained this morning. so no driving. blessing? I dun know, escaping from it is not going to help cause it means a longer wait to being able to drive on my own. ARGH! *#$&^*% The dread that lingers is like a big fat ball of metal, just sinking in. I need to conquer it!

Oh, today, i tried baking. haha leigh! how did you managed to get the kisses to turn out so nice the last time? i mean...mine looked like flat pancakes. hahahha...the later batches looked much better, but a tad too sweet. im going to test it out on some people tmr. hohoho it was fun though, baking with mum and bro. She was like the chief chef and my bro called me the dessert chef. and he? he was the kitchen supervisor, the one who stands around and scream orders. -_- best la he. haha

i need to be doing some work now really. Next week is term break but i think im packed! crap, still need to find some time to do my work.

right...enjoy the break my dears, we all deserve it. :)

hall little routines

time: 8.27pm

every sunday night, when i reach back to 16-3-240, i go through a little ritual of sorts. Walking into the stuffy room, i will have to open my windows. One side, then the other. Always two panels, no more, in case it gets too dusty during the week. Then i will lugged in all my barang barang usually with the aid of my bro and chuck them at one corner of the floor. What comes after is either the fortnightly bedsheet changing then my unpacking. If no bedsheets, then its the unpacking. Out comes my clothes, into the cupboard they go. My towel gets swinged onto the hook behind the door. I hurry into the toilet to put my face towel, taking out the old along the way. Looking down on my way out of the toilet i will see the old floor mat from the week before. Well, that will have to go too. And with a strange satisfied feeling, i will change it along with my front door mat. Throwing all the dirty mats, bedsheets and towels into one bag, i will then send it off, together with the kind soul who brought me back to hall.

But thats not where it ends! Next is the plastic bag of food. The breakfast i religiously buy every sunday to last me for the next week. Then the replenishing of my survival kit- tissue, milk, coffee etc. The little duckie dustbin under my table has to be given its trash bag as well. Finally with my stuff cleared from the floor. I do the magic touch- I magic clean- twice. Once to pick up ALL the hair, the other to simply, well, clean. I've given up on the wet one for a while already.

And one would wonder why i always feel so tired before its even 10pm on sunday nights. -_-

It amazing how my routine barely change. haha and how many unneccessary stuff i do. Like the rag at my front door. I could never figure out the purpose it fulfils except to make me happy. lol I guess a rag just makes the room look right. :)

I know i barely blog these few weeks. Then again, i have not been on Msn the past one week. It has been a terribly busy week, plus a bout of sickness that left me feeling really bad. The work load looks to kill next week, but at least the illness is clearing up. Was really worried for a moment that it was dengue. *phew*

half an hour ago, i clicked the submit button! Oh my god. IM GOING SWEDEN! :D okok...so i have not done my subject matching. i have not done any paper work. BUT i've clicked the ACCEPT button! woot! haha. i didnt want to blog about it until i have clicked the button, cause then it seems so much more real! and best still, daph is going with meeee. :D

And of course congrats to all my dear frens who got places to all sort of exotic places (anywhere out of singapore is exotic to me.) While the excitement is still here, maybe i wun consider all the stuff i will be missing. But gosh..thinking of all my good frens in school going different places, i know im going to miss all of you so darn much! and my family too! and my roomie! and my 3 best sec school pals! and my ferret-wannabe-fren! and my leaf! and everyone la!

lol..im over reacting. Its too early to over react. haha. ok...back to reality, time for malay. sigh

and today, my fren helped to return a snail to the safe side. :) but there was one super stubborn one that refused to un-stick itself. man, hope it last the night.:S

weekend escapes

time: 20.36pm

wow..its been a long while since i last got back to hall so early. its a nice feeling, having the extra time on my hand. A feeling that i had better not go to waste, considering how i have not touched 206. It seems so easy to just leave it aside and pretend it doesnt exist!

Tuesday of week 5. WHERE HAS ALL MY TIME GONE?? -_-. then again, this week is painful, waiting for instep results to come out. diao...

I had my hall's DnD on sat night at raffl3s t0wn club, and it was really such a dressy affair! lol wish i had my photos uploaded already, but for now i can only show the few i managed to kop off people.


ok, the photo has alot of people not dressed up, but can you tell what i am?? haha the theme for the night was masquerade and i saw so many beautiful, stunning gorgeous victorian gowns! It was like a trip down time to the Victorian era! Seriously hao kan! haha i felt like a sore thumb in my urm... smart pants suit. STILL i didnt regret my costume, it was unique! and suave! lol

(and if you STILL cant tell what i am, im a MAGICIAN. :D not a waiter. -_-'')

Though i'm not that close to my hall people as well, but at least they will be nice familiar faces. oh.. and i realised i have no more photos! :(:(:( crap, so actually i shouldnt be talking about it now. oh well..ok nvm..next time then. when i upload mine.

kk..back to work. need to read the tons of reading. And im seriously wondering if i should S/U malay. silly anot? pple tell me that its uber easy to score, and im thinking of S/U-ing it. oh well..still have some time to think about it.

yup yup, time to do work. everyone is getting stressed up and tired, esp the BJ and ISP pple. lol jia you ba, i think you guys will do a good job of letting your creativty shine!
