Tag, you’re it!!

Thursday morning the kids wanted to know what was on the schedule for the day. Tim and I remembered that we had some coupons for miniature golf so we took off before it got to hot. When we got there they had their laser tag open so we decided to try something different, plus it wasn’t as hot inside! When we got up to the tag place there was also 2 kids there and both Tim and I thought it would have been more fun with just our family. Afterwards we both agreed that we were glad those kids were there to play with us, we had 3 teams Tucker and I, Tim, Porter and Abbey, and the 2 kids. After you’re done playing they give you your stats and I won!!! Everyone was surprised about that, especially the kids we played with.

Tucker saving us from Godzilla. (I think he was actually Browser right here.)

After laser tag we went  to Costco to get some milk and their yummy tortillas for dinner. Jo and Tony (my sis) would be coming to spend the night and go to the lake with us on Friday. While we were at Costco we got a pizza too, the kids were loving all this food out, and ‘the maid’ didn’t mind either =)

When we got home we needed to get some housekeeping done, unfortunately this amenity was not included in the brochure of our vacation.

The kids were so excited to have more cousins over!!! They all just disappeared into the house while we made dinner, they hardly even showed up to eat!

Wonderful Wednesday

sjpOniwm,q[1950

Okay CHEESY title, but I’m trying to be creative =)

On Wed. Tim and I were racking our brains to think of something fun to do that day. Luckily with a vacation at home your kids aren’t bouncing off the walls of a hotel room driving you crazy! They still have their own toys and friends around.

We started the day off at McDonalds (I know you are all jealous) for lunch and then headed over to the dinosaur museum. It’s amazing how we find new things there every time we go. The kids had so much fun at the water table that day.

Later that night we headed off to the Bees game. Tim had found front row tickets right by 3rd base on the Internet that morning. They were awesome!!! It was perfect for little kids. We didn’t have to worry about them bumping into anyone’s heads =) They loved getting out of their seats and moving around as much as they wanted. Unfortunately the kiddy train wasn’t going that night so that bummed out the kids. Another great thing that night was it was dollar hotdog night!!! I liked that, I only made a meal once that day!!! Hot dogs and a baseball game… it doesn’t get much better than that! and to top the night off they ended the game with fireworks, and they were REALLY great I can’t speak out loud that they were the best I’ve ever seen, that would just be wrong since it wasn’t the 4th of July.

This is my favorite picture of the day!

Tuck got a ball, and got it signed….he didn’t care that it was by someone on the other team =)08 12 09_2412

Porter really wanted the Bee to come over and talk to him. He sat there and yelled but it didn’t work. And he wasn’t tired at all on the way home.

OuR StAyCatIoN Day 1

So we never officially went anywhere this summer and if we did it was on weekends so Tim decided to take of most of last week and we just went and did different fun things each day.

Monday night we went to the pool and then Ange and Dean (Tim’s Sister) and their 4 boys slept over on their way back home to Boise. The next morning we went to Deer Creak for the day! The kids all had a really good time!!! I don’t have any pictures of it cuz I didn’t take my camera (GASP!) But Ange did so there are some I just don’t have them YET!

Tucker learned a very BIG lesson that day. One word “SUNSCREEN.” He was too excited to be up at the lake with his cousins. Dayten is just a few months older than him and Oakley is a year younger so they have a really good time when we see them. I kept telling/asking over and over to put on sunscreen. Finally I told him “WHEN you get a sunburn I don’t want to hear you whining about it!!!” And he DID get one! Not that I’m glad about that!!!

We were all bushed when we got home that day and just vegged the rest of the day it’s amazing  how the sun gets you so tired!

Stay tuned for the rest of the story……

Big hike little legs

We decided to take a trip up to see the caves at Timpanogos, since they are just minutes away from us we thought 2 years was long enough to wait. At least Porter was old enough to walk now, big enough I’m not so sure :) He did soooo awesome for such little legs he made it further than 3/4 of the way and even after that Tim carried him for only about 20 feet. He walked most of the way back down and got shoulder rides from both Grandpa and Dad.  The hike is 1.5 miles each way and it takes about an hour to go through the caves so that is a lot of walking for little people. Abbey had a bit of a piggy ride near the end from Tim. P1050465 waiting to go in for our tour, we made better time then they allot for you to get to the top. We were pretty pleased with that :)P1050470 more waiting…..Tucker was in heaven, the other people in our group didn’t speak much English so it was kind of like a tour just for us and Tucker took FULL advantage of that and asked a TON of questions, I think the tour guide liked answering them just as much as he liked asking themP1050472 If you look close you will see that Porter wore one of those kid leashes. Grandma informed us at the end that if he hadn’t been wearing it at the beginning she would have take him and the car keys and been back to get the rest of us in a few hours!!! Needless to say that little boy had no fear of those cliffs. At one point we were resting and he started to run after a chipmunk and Tim literally stepped on the leash to stop him just at the edge. Luckily there were trees at that particular spot but it still got all our hearts pumping!P1050474

I had to add this picture….dad snapped it just at the right moment for it too look like I’m wearing a little hat. Do you like my new hat  isn’t it cute? When I saw dad bringing his camera I just left mine home, one less thing to carry.P1050530 ATTENTION: this photo is not photoshopped in anyway! Abbey is such a silly little girl she always wants Grandma to come and never leave but then when she is here she is a little snort to her so we had to get this moment on film!

P1050535

I think Abbey is wondering what Grandpa is doing up in the trees.

P1050545

And Abbey got a burst of energy knowing that the car was insight!

we stopped at smith’s on the way home to get ingredients for homemade ice-cream which we all deserved!!! It was cake batter ice cream and if you’ve never had you HAVE to try it.P1050555

We were so glad that Grandma and Grandpa came with us it was so fun! Tim and I appreciated the extra hands and eyes! And the kids just thought it was fun, hello it’s Grandma and Grandpa!

Train Station

We used to go to this train station when we lived in North Ogden ALL the time. We decided to go there on our way up to Logan a few weeks ago when our nephew Jacob took out his temple endowments. The kids were so excited! As you can see Porter loved it, he doesn’t remember frequenting this place cuz he was WAY to young when we used to go.
