I had the best Birthday ever! It started out with a delicious brunch which I didn’t have to cook! Wait no it started the night before when I went out to dinner with some fab friends who I will miss dearly (well when it comes to church stuff anyway, but I hope to still see them all!!!) They took me out as a farewell dinner and for my birthday. It was so nice just to sit, eat, talk and have a great time. We went shopping too and I found the cutest dress for Easter, well okay I didn’t exactly find it I was looking for it I knew that target had it because my cute niece McKenna has it for Easter too LOL. Yes and she is 11, and I have the same dress, no I didn’t get it in the little girls department she is just grown up enough to shop in the ladies department. Well we both have good taste is all I can say.
Okay now it started out with brunch made by my cute Hubby and kids, delicious bacon and eggs with toast and OJ. MMMMM Good! Tim asked what I wanted to do, it was my day! I told him I wanted some things in the basement done. He thought I was crazy, but with out those things done I couldn’t get much done the next week and they were things I couldn’t do myself. So he and Tucker went to work, it didn’t take them long at all my great fix-it guys.
While I was in the shower the kids were downstairs playing in the playroom (which was now possible thanks to said job) and Tim was using his laptop. We can hear the kids from our bedroom since there is a cold air return. WELL….. I heard Porter outside of the bathroom door as I got out of the shower and when I opened it up he had a cute little white mustache and white hands. Fear struck me! As a mother I knew it wasn’t going to be good and upon evaluation I was right! It was SUGAR! Yes you read correctly SUGAR!!!! The pantry door had been left open and he had had a grand time playing in the sugar bucket and transporting it into a drawer, the hallway table and even later I saw his semi truck with compartments for cars in Abbey’s room with, you guessed it, SUGAR in and on it and some on the trundle of her bed. AHHHHH it wasn’t the present I was expecting but it sure makes a great story!
The pic of Porter by the dryer was him smiling up at me when I went to get him out of time-out. Who can stay mad at that face?
We then went to Ikea and looked around we even looked at headboards a bit. After that we decided to go to RCWilley and see if they had any headboards. Well the one on 90th had their clearance section back and Tim and I were in HEAVEN!!! And even better there was a headboard we both liked and we liked the price too. So now we have a headboard after 10 years of marriage and I’m ecstatic. It was our late anniversary gift to ourselves. The sides had to be ordered so it’s not put together YET. I’ll post pics when it’s all up and pretty, okay well it won’t be too pretty with the comforter we have right now but you can’t get everything at once!
Then we went to eat at Spaghetti Mama’s and if you haven’t been their I highly recommend it! Their salad dressing is so yummy and I love the mizithra cheese and mushroom sauces I had. As we left Tucker said I thought that said spaghetti mammals! Funny kids, he also thought the menu said slimy fries instead of smiley fries. Good laughs!
(There are pics of Abbey's new bed in the slide show also)

Cheese
The Wednesday after we moved (March 5th) we decided we needed to do something fun as a family. So we escaped the box mess and went to Chuck E Cheese!!! We had a ball! It was sooo much fun! We had more tokens than we needed for one night and we used lot. Our trick? internet coupons, and not just the ones you get off their site, sign up for the email coupons they ROCK! The kids know we get to go back and play again because we still have more tokens left. Porter Loved the monster truck and could have stayed in there all night. Well until Chucky came by. Poor Chuck E. couldn’t get Porter off of him. He STALKED the poor mouse. When the other kids were done with Chuck E he would pay attention to Porter some more, he was really cute with him. Just as we were leaving Chuck E. happened to walk by and Porter did not want to go home with us anymore!
Heals anyone?
Porter loves playing dress-up with Abbey. Well mostly just dressing up his feet. Her shoes are so easy for him to get on and off. He loves it when I say “Hi Abbey” if he’s wearing her shoes. Well after the move needless to say things were everywhere and he found these babies of mine and LOVED wearing them. He posed just perfectly for these pictures! He will hate them in a few years, aren’t moms great getting these lovely pictures of their kids? It was hard to get the shoes away from him, I didn’t want him to get hurt trying to walk in them.

Handy kids
Abbey's preschool day Feb. 12
Abbey was the student of the week and got to bring a poster all about herself. We made it together and had a lot of fun. She loves playing with paper and glue and scissors as much as i do. We put her name on it all cute and girly; a picture of her dancing; one of our little family which she had scrap booked herself; a pic she drew of snow white (that one was double duty because she loves princesses and she loves to draw); a dress-up and other girly stuff that she loves. Here's a pic of her telling all about it.

HELLO
We really didn't fall off the face of the planet, just moved a few blocks. But obviously it has kept me from blogging. I can't believe it's been almost a month! WOW that is crazy. Well let's see where do I start....
Tim brought home a HUGE (enclosed for those wondering) trailer from someone at work on Monday the 25th of Feb. So that night we loaded up all the storage from the garage and the nights following we would load up whatever I had packed that day. We were loaded up and ready to go by Friday afternoon. We were more packed than the people who were currently living in the house we're in now. We were supposed to be able to move in Friday afternoon but that most definitely didn't happen. Then they told us they'd be out by seven. HAH When we drove by at 7:00 that night with my dad to see if we could unload all the clothes we had in his car they were no where near done. So we threw a blanket in the back of Tim's truck and put the clothes in there so Dad could go home, he had an early day the next day, thanks for you help dad. Anyway Tim and Tuck drove by and hour and a half later and He said it didn't look any different. So we made the best of it by loading the back of his truck further and parking it in the garage. Sat. we took the truck over and unloaded it before the movers and Elders quorum arrived at 9. (which was a good thing considering that nasty storm that blew in that afternoon) When we got back to our house Tim's dad was waiting to hook the trailer to his truck to take on over to our new home. (Thank heaven for Dads!!!) So with Tim at the old place watching the movers I stayed here and bossed Glen, Eric Schriever, Tak Wakimoto, Scott Fox and our new neighbor Mike Teleroli. Glen Huber showed up ready to roll just as they litterally took the last thing out of the trailer. In his defense they had that thing unloaded in 45 minutes! Done by 10AM. It was 28 feet long and PACKED. So Glen took a look around and then I remembered the van so they unloaded that and we were done just in time for the movers to come unload and we had it all here at 11:30 AM. it was unbelievable. We had no food and were hungry but we were here. So Glen (Tim's dad) went and bought some milk and we had scrambled eggs, hash browns (canned potatoes), and pancakes for lunch. It was great it gave us time to unpack some before we were off to do some very NEEDED grocery shopping. So I think that's all of the moving story.
The basement windows were leaking and full of water, that was fun. So we syphoned them out into the drain with hoses and have been doing so since. YUCK but haven't for a few days. The house is almost put together, but is it ever really done? Our food storage needs some serious help but I'm off later this week to buy more at the case lot so I really need to wait so I can put the new in the back and the old in front. Fun for me!
We went to Chuck E. Cheeses last Wednesday for a fun family day. It was awesome. I'll post pics soon. I still haven't gotten my desk area organized, but it's on my LOOOONG list. One tip if you go sign up for the emails there are killer deals. 100 tokens for $10 we didn't even use half of the 140 we had, so next time we can just go and play to our hearts content.
I don't know about all of you but this daylight savings is not my friend this year. My kids have been sooo ornery all week in the mornings and won't go to bed! Tucker will be for sale if he isn't happier tomorrow, so if you are in the market for a very cute 7 year old who is a great worker, too smart for his own or anyone elses good, great with tools, thoughtful (when he wants to be:) ), FUN, loving and snugly (if you can get him to hold still), energetic kid look on Craig's List tomorrow after oh about 9ish. I hope he's not there but who knows.
