Price and Josh Enter Teenagerhood

Yes, it's true, the twin towers are officially teenagers.  Their birthday fell on Fast Sunday this year, but they were really good sports about not eating breakfast... on their birthday!  Actually, we did a big birthday breakfast the day before, so they didn't feel too picked on.  Since it was Fast Sunday, they also got to collect fast offerings after church.  Not exactly a "day off", but great anyway.

Here they are with their iPods- not the touchscreens they would really like, but better than nothing, right?  Give us a break- we're saving for a house here!

Ethan and Annie with their gift of Nerf dart guns...

Emma picked out puzzles...
and Peter and Mary brought a grundle of Peter's old PS2 games- score!

Rebekah bought the boys each a box of Pop Tarts.  It was such a hit, she says she'll keep it as a tradition for all birthdays this year.

I gave the boys an option of two- two layer cakes, or one-four layer.  They went for the drama, so we had a really yummy four layer chocolate cream cake.
  With 26 candles.

Happy Birthday, Price and Josh!  The last 13 years have been awesome, and I only see it getting better from here!

Fancy Nancy Party!

Every year, the library hosts a "Fancy Nancy" party for little girls.  Emma and Annie were both signed up last year, but Emma backed out at the last minute and refused to go.  After hearing what a great time Annie had, she decided she could go this year- and so, after waiting 12 long months, the girls BOTH attended the party.

Everyone dresses in their fanciest clothes, accessorizes, and learns a little about manners and "fancy" French phrases.  They are even served little cupcakes and cups of punch.  It is all very glamorous.

Beautiful girls!
