Sweethearts Dance

Our tradition of sweethearts dance with my parents and sister, Sabrina, was dimmed by the lack of husbands. Poor dad ended up with three dates to twirl about the floor. He even offered me a great view of his dance moves with mom before knocking me down with his "hip." I did get out and shake it up for the fast songs. I never realised how many slow songs they play. And old songs, really old songs. But we had Lizzy there with her addictive smile and rising voice. She almost made the fact that I had no husband or chocolate dipped strawberries disappear from my mind. almost.

A day in seattle

Oh the luck of Friday the Thirteenth was with us as we wandered through Seattle in pursuit of fulfilling childhood dreams. After stocking up on Spa supplies at Zenith, we weaved our way towards Fremont to discover the famed Fremont Troll. Abandoning our three street named useless tourist guide map, we turned left omn a whim and drove right past the troll. After finding a perfect parking spot a half block away we walked up and around and on top of the troll. Though a bit dusty, it was an amazing statue.
It was a fun Fremont find that I'm not likely to forget. Though I do hope the little sidewalk driving bit of our day will diminish from our minds. In fact let's vow to forget that I almost ran down a few people to snatch the perfect parking spot. Seattle needs a few less people anyways. And since Sabrina can't write on here our promise to forget it will stand.....Look I've already forgotten what we're talking about!

Daddy Daughter Dance

Rex had duty on the daddy daughter dance night. (say that three times fast!) SO Grandpa Gutierrez took Charly. Here they are before the night of dancing, delicious candy and devilish lines which thwarted the dare in taking dreamy pictures.

After an hour wait they announced that the photographer would be coming to everyone's home to take their pictures since there was still a hundred or so people in line for pictures and the dance was closing. So we might have professional pics of them in the future.....time will tell.
