Veterens Day

We went to Charly's Veteren's Day Assembly and Charly sang a few songs for us. Then Rex and got to get a red carnation.

Taylor and Mikey loved the songs! Charly was so cute. She was so proud her daddy was there in his uniform. All her class mates were impressed. It's all she's been talking about since. I'm so glad Rex got the day off!

Sonar!

The first Saturday of the month is Kids day at the Naval Museum. This month was all about sound and sonar. The girls got to dance with Bubbles the Diver, make music out of interesting objects and get their face painted. All while learning about sound and how our ears work. I learned that Taylor is a natural brass player!

Halloween

Charly and I were the dread pirates that had kidnapped the princess Makayla when the brave Batgirl (Taylor) arrived to rescue her! This was what the girls wanted to be for Halloween. And Rex was...well....Rex, a disgruntled sailor.
For Halloween we went everywhere! Starting at Charly's school where we cheered her on in the parade. Then after the rest of us got into costumes we went to Best Buy where they took our family picture. Which was great and also is a print so as to my lack of a scanner you'll have to visit to see it. But the girls and I went trick or treating to each department while Rex shopped the store.
Then it was off the Toys-R-Us where we were 20mins late for their last parade so the girls got the goodie bag with no candy. Which was fine because they loaded up on candy later!

We got some fast food and ate at the church parking lot waiting for trunker treat to begin. After a successful collection of candy at trunker treat we headed home to trick or treat our own

neighborhood so we could show off the girls to all our neighbors. It was pretty late but we caught up with most of them. The girls got buckets of candy, literally I have three buckets full of candy in my kitchen now. But we had alot of fun!
