The house features a wide curved stone wall, a glass gate along with the stone and trees at the front, a design that blends the house with its environment. This house boasts terraced courtyard at the rear, grey façade, curved balcony and roof. Under this roof are floor to ceiling glass windows and doors that capture the views of the lake. Inside, the elegant double height dining and living room are flooded with lights thanks to the extensive glass cladding. Other parts of the interior use wood in almost every element, from the flooring, walls, furniture and the beautiful staircases. There is a beautiful yet “natural” shower that is located just behind the front-side wall, this shower is topped by glass roof and covered by the massive stone walls along with the wooden deck. This modern house design is a great inspiration for those who want a rustic yet elegant mountain house design that blends with its nature.

Amazing Pool Home Design – The DPR House
When you see this house from the street, you might think that the house is just an ordinary old home, sober, an understated piece of architecture without any fascinating thing inside. That’s why we don’t put this home’s street-view picture on the top. Once you steep inside, your experience would be different, the classic design is gone! And you could see a modern exterior with multi-angles, near futuristic façade of metal panels complemented with a futuristic pool. Inside, the interior design of the home exhibits the similar style, with some futuristic form but, away from the near-rustic style of the exterior, the interior boasts exceptional furnishing with neutral tones, creating a warmth and comfy atmosphere. You could also find some details which enhance the (near) futuristic style like the kitchen island and the sculptural form that houses the lighting for the kitchen. There, in the same home you could also see a traditional Japanese rug (tatami) that looks so modern in one room. And now, with such home design, we wonder how long does it take for the inhabitants to get familiar with every details of their home so, say thanks to the architects of MCK Architects for their great job.!

Contemporary Compact House Design – Stacked House in Cambridge
This compact house design is quite interesting thank to unusual placement of the three 16 x 22 feet boxes. The boxes are stacked and rotated to shape this unusual profile. This house’s facade is finished in bright marine wood color and boasts the grain and its natural texture, giving a classic touch to the contemporary house design. These boxes seem that they are designed to provide privacy to the owners, there are only a few glass windows on it. The three levels of the house have their own distinct style. The first floor has marble for flooring while the other floors have wood, a lighter material for the same purpose. This house also has a beautiful stair and balustrades that lead the way up to the third floor. This XS House was designed by Chaewon Kim and Beat Schenk of design company UNI and is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
