Carter had his 2 month check up yesterday. He screamed when he got the shots! Poor guy. But he is getting so big- he is almost 12 lbs which is the 59% and is 23 inches which is the 55%!That is super good considering he was a month early and when he was born he was only in like the 6th%. He is growinng so fast-too fast! He smiles now which I absolutely love! He is also awake more and likes to look around, especially at the pictures on our walls. He is so much fun- I just feel so blessed to have 2 wonderful children as well as an amazing husband!!

Prayers for Preslee
A friend of mine from High School is going through any parent's worst nightmare right now! Her 1 1/2 year old daugther, Preslee, almost drowned in a canal last Friday night, July 9th. She is currently in critical condition at Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Lake City. Any prayers on little Preslee's behalf as well as her family would be greatly appreciated. Also, there is a blog set up for them if anyone would like to donate to help them out. www.helpsullengers.blogspot.com Also if you live in the Rigby area or near by, go visit the SnowShack in Rigby on Main street by Abbots. All the proceeds will be going to the Sullenger family to help out with the hospital bills. If you would like to follow their story, you can check their personal blog as well. www.patrickandashley.blogspot.com

Carter
Well I don't have a lot of pictures on my computer yet, but like I said if you want to see them you can find me on facebook : ) but here are a few that I have saved to the computer. Carter is doing great! We sure do love him, as does Brylie! Although it is very difficult to find the time to get my school work done, I am very glad he is here and that I am not still pregnant with him. He is such a joy!

Surprise!
Last Wednesday night I started having contractions around 8:30. Brylie was sick that day so we had taken her to the Dr earlier on in the day and she was on the verge of having strep throat as well as an ear infection; she would have gotten them if we didn't take her in. She got antibiotics and has been fine since. Anyway, I was holding and comforting her while Darin was out working on his truck with his brother and brother-in-law. I texted his brother to tell him to come inside cuz I needed to talk to him (dare left his phone inside) He told me they were in Idaho Falls getting some tools they needed, but that he would send him in when they got back. Finally about 10 Darin came in and I was in tears from the pain of the contractions. I told him to take Bry so that I could take a shower to see if that would help relax me or anything. I had been timing the contractions and they were about 7-8 min apart. We called the hospital and they said if they got 4-5 min apart and lasted a minute to go in. While I was taking a shower I was trying to time them and they lasted about 45 seconds, and by the time I got out and timed them they were every 3 mintues. I was terrified since I was only 35 1/2 weeks along! Brylie had just woken up so Darin tried to get her something to eat since she hadn't eaten all day and tried comforting her. I told Darin that I thought we needed to go to the hospital, these contractions were close and unbearable. We got his brother to stay at the house with Brylie while we went in. We drove to Rexburg and got to the hospital about 11:30pm. by the time they checked me it was 12:15 and by our surprise, I was at a 9! Darin called my parents to have my dad come up and help give me a blessing. ( I was terrified knowing I couldn't have an epidural, as well as knowing this baby was coming 4 1/2 weeks early) They wheeled me in to the delivery room where my Dr was waiting as well as a nurse from the NICU just in case, along with all the other nurses.(my parents had showed up in just 10 minutes, but it was too late) They broke my water and I immediately started pushing. Within about 10 mintues and a few pushes, Carter Darin Thurman had arrived! He was born on May 27, 2010 at 12:37 AM and wieghed 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 19 inches long. He was perfect, completely healthy! What a relief!
Brylie is an awesome big sister! She loves her brother! She always wants to hold him and kiss him and get her picture taken with him. She also comes up to him a lot throughout the day and says "hi Carter" and starts talking to him it is very cute! I am so blessed to have two beautiful healthy children, and a wonderful husband who is an amazing dad!
Our camera is broken so we had my mom take pictures, I need to get them put on my computer so I have them. There are a bunch posted on my facebook so if you want to look at them you can find me on facebook : )

BOY!!!!!!
We are so excited to say that we are having a boy! When we got the ultra sound he was moving all over the place, he is such an active little guy! He had his legs closed but luckily she was able to get one of his bum and he moved his legs a little and it showed. Dad is so excited and proud to have his little dude!

IT'S A.......
Yep, we find out tomorrow if we will have another little girl or if it will be switched up a little and be a little boy! We are so excited and can't wait! Brylie is going to be such a great big sister to whatever it is. Today I felt the baby move more than I have in any one day. It is getting exciting. The not exciting part...I'm at that awkward, "Is she gaining weight or is she pregnant?" stage. Yeah that's always fun. Well, we will post again when we find out tomorrow!! you can make a comment and guess what it is:)

On New Years Day the Thurman family got some family pictures taken. We also got a few of Brylie since it's been forever since we've gotten any of her. (I had taken her to get some done right before her birthday but she wouldn't smile or cooperate at all so we didn't order any)

Wow! This pregnancy is just flying along! We had an appointment on Friday and we got to hear the heartbeat! My next appointment we get to find out whether it is a boy or another girl; we are so excited! That appointment is on February 5th and I can hardly wait! I will be 20 weeks at that appointment, half way done. I just can't believe how fast it is going; it kind of scares me. I don't know if I am ready for 2, but ready or not... : )
Here are just some random pics since it's been a while. There are a few from when we went and looked at the lights at Temple Square a couple months ago. I didn't have a camera so these were a couple that my sister-in-law e-mailed to me. The one of her kissing a baby is her nephew Tanner. She loves babies so hopefully she'll be a great help when our's comes. She is growing up so fast! She talks a lot and knows quite a few words. It is so funny she will come to me and say "mom" then just go on and on telling me a story but I have no idea what she is saying lol it is so cute! she is so smart too she throws wrappers and things in the garbage, she knows to fold her arms for prayer the second she gets in her hight chair to eat, she gets a diaper and her wipes when she needs to be changed, etc. My favorite is probably that she knows how to say "Jesus" and she knows where the 2 pictures of him are in the house and she will point to them and say "Jesus." It is very cute!

We had a ward Christmas party a few weeks ago and they had a professional photographer come and take family pictures. Here are a few of ours. For Christmas we went to Dillon, Montana to spend it with Darin's family. It was a lot of fun and Brylie really enjoyed it! It was so much more fun this year with her than last cuz she knew more what was going on and she could open her own presents and got excited when she got something she wanted, it was really cute! I will post pictures soon

My brother Ryan
My little brother Ryan has been on his mission for 2 months how; however since he has been waiting on his Visa before he can go to Brazil, he has been in the MTC in Provo the entire time. Before his mission while he was at a basketball game in high school his left lung partially collapsed. It healed on its own and the Drs watched it carefully and continued taking x-rays just to make sure. Well my parents got a call on Sunday saying that Ryan had been having chest pains so they took him in and his right lung partially collapsed. They don't know why it happend; and it is healing on its own again. However, since it has happend twice within 1 year, he has to have surgery. They took him to a specialist and that is what was determined. They will do the surgery on both lungs and he will have to be in the hospital for 4-5 days. The surgery is on Friday in Provo. After he gets released from the hospital, he is going to be coming home for 1-2 weeks while he recovers, then will be sent back out. They say the surgery will be a very painful surgery, but if it isn't done this could happen again and could be life threatening. Please keep him in your prayers!

Dr. Appointment
We had our first Doctors appointment today and they said that everything looks great! However, when they did the ultra sound they said that I am actually only 8 weeks and 1 day rather than 9 weeks, so my due date got pushed back from June 22 to the 27. We are very excited to have this new addition to our family!
Brylie also got some shots today...she didn't like that too much! She got 5 shots and she screamed big time! Poor girl. Well other than that not much new here. Just cant' wait to be done with this semester of school!
