Another video of baby Micah (& fun pictures too!)!

Here is another video taken on July 19 of our sweet one-month old. Its a little over a minute of Micah doing what he does best... being a cute baby! He even sneezes! :)

We also had our dear friends the Bradleys come down to visit us last weekend... Sammy had fun playing with their sweet little girl Lena. Here's a great photo of them! Samuel liked pushing Lena in the car - and he was so sweet to tuck her dress into the car before closing the door for her! What a gentleman... :)

Can I tell you how much fun Samuel has with his cousins? They are pretty much his best friends. He is in this super fun age where he loves to play WITH other kids... running around, playing pretend, playing chase, playing with toys and cars and trucks, riding bikes outside - - all with friends. :) He especially has fun with his cousin closest to his age, Leia. Leia and Sam posed so nicely for this photo!!!

Okay, so this just made me smile and I had to take a photo of it! My two boys, sound asleep in the car - any mommy's dream! hehe...

Who is who??

Can you tell the difference between baby Samuel & baby Micah? Here are photos of the two of them on their first days of church! Samuel is 3 1/2 weeks old, and Micah is 5 weeks old in the pictures. :) Yes, we dressed them in the same onesie on purpose! :)

One Month Old

Our little Micah Caedmon turned 1 month old yesterday, July 18! This month has really gone by quickly! I already catch myself thinking about how in practically no time our little guy will be sitting up, crawling, talking, and soon we'll be celebrating his first birthday... okay, thats still 11 months away, but the months just seem to go by so fast!!

For those of you interested, Micah loves his milk and has gained some good weight. He's up to 13 pounds, and 2.5 ounces. He went through a couple of growth spurts (at around 9-10 days old, and around 3-3 1/2 weeks old) which was witnessed by his wanting to nurse every HOUR! Now he's back to nursing every 2-3 hours, which is much easier on this mama! :) Micah is sleeping okay at night... he goes for about 2-3 hours stretches, and is up for the day around 7-7:30am or so. All of his "wakey" times are so fun! His eyes are so bright and beautiful, though still a little cross-eyed at times. He loves to follow things with his eyes, especially faces. Andrew has lovingly given Micah the nickname: "Tank" for obvious reasons. :) Micah's favorite place to nap is still in someone's arms, lying on their chest, or in the sling, but he seems to like napping on the changing table just fine too! :)

Micah & Big Brother Samuel... Sammy loves holding his baby brother and asks to do so often. He's also the first one to run to Micah's rescue when he hears his baby brother crying! We're still trying to teach Sammy how to 'gently' give Micah his paci when he wants it... :)

Happy 1-month birthday Micah!

4th of July weekend

We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July last weekend! We gathered at the White's home for some delicious dinner, a water balloon fight, and some fireworks! Sammy had fun throwing water balloons at us, jumping over the "hose snake" and holding his very own sparklers. And everyone loved holding baby Micah... this newborn age is really sweet and Micah is a little cuddle bug who loves to sleep in our arms. Here's a photo of our family of 4! Its so fun to taking these pictures of us together. :) And below that we captured a sweet shot of Micah with his cousin Leia - their outfits matched so well!
Last weekend Andrew introduced Samuel to the XBox. Thats right everybody! Our little guy played "worms" and had fun pushing all the buttons on the controller however he wanted. I love that his tongue is sticking out in this picture... you can get a glimpse of how serious he was about the game! ;)
Last weekend we also had Auntie Amy & Uncle Nick visit! We loved having them stay with us and they loved spending some time with their nephews. I love these two pictures of each of them holding baby Micah - so sweet!

2 weeks old

Our baby Micah is 2 weeks old (tomorrow!). He is such a cutie, and is as sweet as ever. Today we visited his pediatrician for his 2 week check-up and we were happy to find out that he is doing perfectly fine & healthy! Micah now weighs 11 pounds and 9 ounces. :) Our little guy is definitely feeding well and growing strong! He also measured about 22 1/2 inches long! I guess Micah can't wait to play and have fun with his big brother, so he is 'growing' as much as he can to try and catch up with him! Here are some cute photos taken recently of our little guy...
