Birthday cake

My nephew's birthday was a couple of weeks ago and I copied this cute cupcake cake from a student in my class. If I would have used thicker frosting the spaces between the cupcakes wouldn't have been so obvious, but he is 3 and he didn't care. The kids loved it but now my fridge is full of leftover frosting in every color!!

Baby lambs

Every spring we love to go to my grandpa's little farm and see the new baby lambs. The lambs start coming around the middle of February and it takes about a month to get them all here. This year he has around 50 baby lambs. He sells most of them but he saves a few for the grandkids to raise for the county fair. My kids aren't old enough yet to participate, but I have fun memories of taking care of my own lambs for the fair! DD2 was a little freaked out by the mother sheep because she kept baa-ing and banging up against the fence while we were petting the baby. My grandpa is so great. He is always willing to take us out to the farm to see the lambs. Thanks grandpa!

Let's Go Fly A Kite

A couple of weeks ago I took my DDs (darling daughters) to my sister's house to fly kites. Since they live in a new subdivision there are no trees or power lines to get in the way. The wind was perfect but cold. We had no trouble getting the kites up but we could only stay out there for about 20 minutes and our noses and fingers were freezing! DD1 did a great job flying her Dora kite and DD2 just walked around saying "cold, cold, cold." We will definitely try again when it warms up a little!

So I know it has been a really long time since I wrote, and I do have some good posts in mind, but I left my camera at my grandma's house last week and I haven't gotten it back. So hang in there, I hope to get some new posts up this weekend!
