The Day Has Finally Arrived

Suzanne Dean has just released Class 5 of her Copic course..
Suzanne is an amazing colourist and her classes are just brilliant.  She has 5 classes and you can choose which one matches your colouring ability.  You have a full year to complete the class.  Every class has many 30 minute video tutorial's with matching PDF's to help you along the way.  Once you sign up for a class you also have the option to buy the videos for your class so you can always look something up.
If you are looking to improve your colouring, trust me, she is the best in the business.
What she doesn't know about copic's is just not worth knowing.
Here is Suzanne's blog.  You need to check out it blog, she is very inspiring.

Whilst you are here, did you know the Suzanne also has a Copic Challenge ?
We run bi-monthly challenges and our current one is multi coloured hair.

50 Wonderful Years

A couple who I have known all my life celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary last week and this is the card I made to give them.  Of course it has my favourite bears on it and if you have a card with bears on it don't forget that you can enter it into the Cutie Pie Challenge as we have a great Bears challenge on the go and it doesn't close until next Saturday so you have plenty of time to join us.
If you happen to make a Christmas card with  Teddy Bo on it and it doesn't have red or green on it then you can enter it into the Teddy Bo challenge.

I have chosen to use TEDDYBOBEA_081.  I made everything except the bears black and then hubby added the orange fireworks in photoshop.  The 50 is made of tiny dots of glue coated in glamour dust and it catches the light brilliantly and looks like fireworks going off as the light catches the tiny glitter particles.
Teddy Bo and Bea are coloured with prismacolor pencil's blended with sansador.  I added lines of clear glitter pen to the orange fireworks which are great when they catch the light.
Everything has a layer of black, white and silver and the black and white PP is from the Bo Bunny Enchanted collection.
The wording reads "Celebrating 50 years together.  A true love story"
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :
Stamptacular - boy oh boy
2 sisters - let it sparkle
My time to craft - take 2 - 2 bears
Stamps r us - bling it on
Cupcake carfts - two's company
Creative crafts - minimalistic
So what are you waiting for??  Get making a Teddy Bo Christmas card with no red and green on it and get it entered in both challenges

Did you know that on a Friday you get to read about all the things us designer's get up to at Teddy Bo Towers?  Trust me you do not want to miss out on these tales between rubber underware, potato vodka and the camel's there's always something "interesting" going on.
My card for today feature's TEDDYBO_123

A very young member of our family will be celebrating his very first Christmas this year and this card is especially for him.  To make the image more Christmassy I have paper pieced his jumper and hat to match the candy cane PP.  I have coloured Bo in with both prisma pencils and copic's.  I have used my distress tool on all my papers.
The paper's used are from the First Edition Christmas joy pad.  The scrap strips are the reverse of the cream paper's that I trimmed off to fit the page.
The ribbon is from Stamp and Create.
The 2 square brad's were made using the papermania build a brad kit and if you look closely you can see the candy canes from the paper on the brads.
The card is then finished with two lots of 3 tiny square gems coloured to match the card.

Congratulations to my Mum

Today my Mum celebrated her very first win with a card she made for my Hubby's birthday.
Here is her card

This was only the second time she had used my prismacolor pencil's and I think she's made a great job of it.
My Mum always puts her cards down so I'm asking you if you wouldn't mind, would you nip over to the blog she shares with her friends and tell her what you think of her great card.
You can find her blog here.

I'm hosting this challenge

Today it is my turn to host the Cutie Pie Challenge and I want to see your bears.
I'm guessing if you are a regular reader you will know about my obsession with Teddy Bo & Co.  I think Gayle draws the most wonderful images not only of bears, but of Olifant and Jolly the G ...Jiraffe.
Now there has been a serious outbreak of TeddyBo-itus over on the design team blog so be warned, it is contagious and will result in you making lots of Teddy Bo cards.  We have also been joined by some of the super talented girls from the Teddy Bo DT. With so much eye candy you really should go n check out the amazing cards.
Now we have 2 sponsors for this challenge and they are ;

Here is what I made using TEDDYBOBEA_TABS_002

Back cover

I followed a brilliant tutorial by my Teddy Bo DT member Jill.  You can find the tutorial here.
This Book card is made especially for my Dad's friend Jack who wanted a something special to give to his wife on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I coloured Bo and Bea with my prisma's.  I added a heart keyhole to the front and attached a key on some chain.  The book is closed with a ribbon.
The brown shimmer paper is from a craft show I went to earlier this year.  The PP is from the MME pad Lost and found.  I love how I managed to get the word celebrate on the inside cover.
I put some gold holographic hearts inside, ready for Jack to put his letter to his wife in.
I used my spellbinder ironworks die for both the keyhole and the medallion on the back cover.

Especially For My Unkul Keef

You remember when you were little and your Mum & Dad's friend's were all called aunties and Uncles?? Well my Mum and Dad met a lovely couple a few year's ago and being the grown up that I am (cough, cough) I chose to call Keith Unkul Keef (my spelling has come along alot in the past 3 years)
Well Unkul Keef has had to be in hospital having some treatment and when we went round for our tea last week Unkul Keef picked up the nickname of Dobby, from Harry Potter.
As soon as I saw the wonderful new Elf graphic that Gayle has drawn to go in the Fairy Doodler's part of the Teddy Bo shop I knew I had to make a card for Unkul Keef.
Gayle has some amazing new images to share with you and if you are like certain friend of mine you will want them all.

Here is the front of my card :

A close-up of the cute guy :

And here is what I put inside the card -

In photoshop I merged the elf with TEDDYBEA _161 and then just kept her sign. I have coloured my elf with copic's and added liquid pearl's as snow.  I also went over Wobby's painting with glossy accent's to make it shine like gloss paint.  I have used holographic card and stripy blue paper from my scraps drawer.  The button was made by triple embossing a glued stack of die cut circles and then punching the hole's with my cropaldile.
**WORD OF WARNING**
Don't trap your finger in a cropadile coz it bloody hurts.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Totally Gorjuss - I remember........
i-copic - male cards
Stamp with fun - buttons
Craft your passion - bingo - button, sentiment, free
Pink Gem - cold and frosty
Card making mammas - die cuts - circles to make the button
Prairie Fairy - heat embossing - to make the button
Moving along with the times - no girls allowed

Big hugs,
H xx
