Welcome to our Treasure Hunt

Welcome to the Tiddly Inks Treasure Hunt bloghop. We are kicking off Tiddly Ink’s first birthday celebration and I am so glad you joined us to hunt for inspiration and goodies.
If you came from Kiara's blog then you are at the correct spot. If not, you might want to go back to the CHALLENGE BLOG and start hopping THERE. You might miss some of the prizes that are hidden around the hop if you don’t start at the beginning. :)
My creation today features Tiddly Inks’s new image Party Time.   Christy created about 20 new images for her birthday celebration and you can find the rest of the images HERE.

As soon as I saw these delightful Pixies I knew that my creation for the blog hop had to be made with them.
I have done a few firsts with this card.
This my first creation using Party Time, my first stepper card, my first bit of paper piecing (on the flags) and my first time as a guest designer for Tiddly Inks.

I started out by printing my pixies.  The pixies are coloured with copic's and have some glamour dust on their wings for some special pixie sparkle.
The roses on the pennant are coloured with pink sakura stardust pen and the leaves with sakura souffle pen.  I then added the word Hello to the pennants in adobe elements and printed the whole stamp first onto pink floral paper and then onto green cross-hatched paper.  These were then cut out and stuck on.  The final bit of work on the pixies was to add a bit of white highlights and to  fussy cut them out.

I then made the stepper card to exactly fit the pixies across it.  Once I knew the measurements for the middle step I bought Hilly Lane digi stamp from Make it Crafty and used the same shades subtle to colour it in.
Finally I covered the front of the card in blue gemstone cardstock and began assembling everything.
The flowers are punched from the pink PP used for the pennant and a darker pink and the green leaves are the same paper from the banner.
The sentiment was then printed, mounted onto the pink PP and attached to the front.

As a special thank you, I am offering a prize of the beautiful Party Timedigi stamp.
Please leave me a comment telling me who is your favourite digi stamp from the new birthday release to get entered to win Pennant Pixie from Christy.
You don't have to a follower of my blog t enter into the draw, but it would be nice if you did.
Just a little reminder that Tiddly Inks will be having a sale May 1-3 to celebrate it’s first birthday. If you are interested, visit the SHOP and then plan to create a fun project for the challenges or the next blog hop on May 10.
On May 10, Tiddly Inks will hold another blog hop that is open to everyone. You can check out the details on Christy’s Blog . It will be part of TI’s fun birthday party celebration and the special prize for the that blog hop will be a chance to win a digital stamp customized and designed for you.
Thanks so much for hopping in our Treasure Hunt. I hope you enjoyed seeing a lot of new images, some beautiful cards and visiting with our special guests and regular designers.

Here's Minnie again

I am so addicted to this cute girl.  She's just a dream to colour.
I am entering this card for the following challenges :
Tiddly Inks Challenge - April showers bring may flowers - use flowers or rain
Cute card thursday challenge - use someone elses sketch
Sweet sketch wednesday - the sketch below

Here is my latest Minnie card. She is coloured with copics, with Anita's 3d glaze on her glasses.
The purple glitter gard I have had forever.
The backing paper was a free download from when I first startedcard making and I'm don't know the name of it, sorry.

I then attached three strips of ribbon.  I used spotty purple ribbon on top of black organza ribbon with a satin edge.
The flower was made with 4 flowers punched with my new fiskars punch and then layered  top of another, and finished off with a nice silver gem.

Now don't forget that the Tiddly Inks birthday blog hop starts tomorrow so please drop in to the challenge blogtofind out all the details.
There will be lots of eye candy and some amazing prizes to be won.

Happy Birth-day

My husbands best friend is due to become a father for the second time very soon so I thought I had better make his Birth-day card in case he arrives early.
I am entering this card into the following challenges :
Doodle Dragon Studios - A birthday card with 2 colours from the blog header (I have used brown from the moose and blue from the top of the blog
Mojo Monday - the sketch below (I substituted the bow for the sentiment)
A gem of a challenge - pearls and swirls (pearls in the flowers and swirls on the PP)
Paper Sundae - Use 2 elements. I used pearls, sparkle and die-cuts.
Pollycraft - fun and games - who can't have fun on a rocking horse?

Here is the sketch from Mojo monday :

Now here come the photo's, sorry but there are quite a few.
This photo was taken before the card was finished to show the PP I made using my fiskars baby stamps, my embossing pad and some blue mica powder. I didn't have any baby PP so was pleased with the outcome of this.
So this is how I made this card.
I cut 2 circles from blue card stock.  One at 22cm and one at 21cm.  As I said above I made my own PP and finished both circles off with some hand drawn stitching in blue sakura glaze pen.  I used my fiskars bracket border punch on some of the leftover blue card from the circle and then edged them in blue using a pigment ink pad. I then cut this metallic paper 6cm wide and attached the border strip to it, and mounted it flat onto the card.  It was then trimmed to fit.

Next I printed the really cute baby teddy on his rocking horse onto a circle of card and coloured him    with copics and sakura stardust pens.  I did the hand drawn stitching to it.
The scalloped circle was cut on my cricut using Make the Cut.  This was also hand stitched.

Next came the flowers.  I used my new large flower squeeze punch.  I've not used one of these before as I've always had the usual kind.  Well I LOVE this way of punching shapes.  It really is so much easier to use than the normal punches.  The flowers were punched from some of the left over blue papers.  Some of them I used my perfect pearl mist on to give the flowers a bit of shimmer.
Then I used my embossing stylus to give the flowers some shape and glued 2 together to make each flower.
The centre of each flower has a big shiny silver pearl surrounded by 6 tiny blue pearls.  The tiny pearls were originally white but I coloured them with my copics to match the colour scheme.
They were mounted on foam pads and I then added some brown leaves using my woodware grasses punch.
The sentiment was computered generated.
I had seen a card the other day that had this phrase (sorry I can't remember where) and thought it was a great phrase to use on a card for a new born.

This card did take me quite a long time to do today as it was a very involved design.

I hope you like and that you come back agin soon to see more of my creations.
I also want to thank everyone who came on the SSC blog hop and left me some amazing comments.
Reading those really spurs me on to do my next card,
Hugs

Rain, rain, go away

The challenge over at Bugaboo is to create a rain project.
I have made my using the following sketch from Card Patterns

And here is my card :

I have used Rain, Rain bear.  He is coloured with copics as usual.  I have used Anita's 3d clear gloss
finish to cover the umbrella, the small raindrops and the puddle.

The quote was computer generated.
The patterned paper is Bo Bunny, I think but I'm not sure.
The blue strip was cut from blue coredination cardstock then embossed with my fiskars raindrop texture plate, and sanded with an emery board.  I used my cuttlebug, with the a plate, c plate and one of those freebie mouse mats.
The final portion has been spritzed with blue smoke perfect pearl mist.
I used my MS double loop punch to create the die-cut border.
The silver glitter strip is actually a peel off.  The ribbon is from my stash and the bow made with my bow-easy.
Finally those glass looking drops were a buy off ebay, and I think they are called dew drops.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Card Patterns - the sketch used
Bugaboo - rain
Paper Sundae- use 2 or more from the following toppings, sparkle, pearls, die-cuts and yellow.  I used sparkle, die cut border and yellow.
I really enjoyed doing this card, and I now have the afternoon free so I may be back with another card later today,

Tiddly Inks Challenge 46 - You're a stitch

Well I'm cutting it close with my Tiddly Inks Challenge card this week, arn't I?
I am combining my TiddlyInks Challenge card with a new card sketch blog I found earlier today.
This new blog is called CPS or Card Positioning Systems.
I loved working with this sketch and had been looking for a new sketch challenge since Friday sketchers closed.
So here is the CPS sketch:

And here is my card :

The sunshine has gone so it was a bit overcast when I took these photos.

This shot shows the strawberry charms off better.

This little cutie is called Minnie's berry, and just had to get it when I saw the charms my very good friend, Marion, sent me from Greece.  I have cut the loop off then and secured then to the ribbon with silicone glue.
She is coloured with copics and red sakura stardust pen (for her glasses and shoes) I have used Anita's 3d clear gloss for her glasses.  I have used a fine liner pen to do my stitching around Minnie.
The textured red mirri card is from Kanban.  It comes in a wide variety of colours but they have now stopped manufacturing this card as it was not cost effective as there is more waste than product when they make it.  I love it so much, its great because of the texture so if you want some you'd best be quick and get it.
The corner swirls are cut from a black shimmer card using a spellbinder die.
The ribbon and sentiment are from my stash.

Now don't forget that there will be a big Tiddly Inks blog hop over the weekend.  You really won't want to miss it, and here's what Christy (owner and artist of Tiddly Inks) has to say about it all :

"So check back on April 30 for the beginning of our one-year anniversary...or is it a birthday??

Hmmm, either way, we will have new images and lots of fun stuff...see you on April 30 for the kickoff of our brithday celebration---a Treasure Hunt Blog Hop. :) We will have lots of goodies hidden through the blog hop and we have some fantastic guests for the day...:) It should be lots of fun!"

Here's to a happy start to the week,
H xx

SSC Blog Hop Challenge

Hi and welcome to my blog.  For those of you coming here from the Simply Scrapping Crafts site, I hope you like what you see and enjoy hopping around the blogs.  If you never heard of Simply Scrapping Crafts, why not pop over and have a look, there's lots on offer over there
The theme for this hop is "spring" and have got a card to share today.  The skys have been a beautiful blue this easter weekend so I took the beautiful sky as my inspiration.

As you can see the sun went out in-between shots so my close-up to show the shimmery background didn't work.
The background was made by blending faded jeans, broken china and chipped sapphire distress inks on conqueror concept gold dust card.  I then spritzed them with ranger perfect pearls mist in blue smoke and turquoise.
The PP is a freebie from a magazine and the image is called Spring Huggabugg from Tiddly Inks and is coloured with copics and sakura stardust pens.  Her wings are covered in glamour dust.  The dots in the corners are from Craftwork Cards and are from the candi line.
I would love it if you liked my card so much that you wanted to follow me and my creations,
Thanks for blopping over here and enjoy the rest of the hop,
H xx

Couldn't resist another Hildie card

I enjoyed doing some cards yesterday with my digis from cs designs that I just had to do another one.
I have used the following sketch from Mojo Monday :

Here is my card :

This time I have coloured her a monochromatic colour scheme so I could enter it into a new challenge blog I was told about called Magical Monday.
She has been coloured in with a mixture of copic's and sakura pens.  Her swirly and spotty dress is done using the clear stardust pen over copics.  Her shoes are purple stardust and her flower is the purple metallic pen.  Her wings are done using diamond stickles and her pearls on her shoes started out life as white pearls and I coloured them purple with my copics.
She is then mounted onto purple metallic angel hair.  The PP are from my stash and then I dry embossed the panel on the botton using my fiskars shapeboss creative sampler.  The ribbon is from my stash and the tag is stamped with the word magical.
This card is also being entered into the following challenges :
Pink Gem Challenges - pearls and swirls- swirls on PP and her dress and pearls on her shoes
Papertake Weekly - spotsand stripes -spotty PP and dress

As you can see I love these fairies and there will be more cards coming soon,
Hugs

So those of you who have done the Babushka hunt and have asked me why Fluffy is called fluffy, I have been over the field to take some photos. I couldn't take photos of just Fluffy as the others would get jealous so let me introduce you to some of our cows.

A huge Thankyou

As you may know my beloved netbook died the other day.  Not only did I loose so very many photos but I also lost some digi stamps.  I had backed up most of then using dropbox (its free and really worth downloading) but some slipped through the net.
And so I had to ask some digi stamp companies if they wouldn't mind sending me some of my lost digi's.
This post is to say a HUGE THANKYOU to Christy at Tiddly Inks and Jodie at Bugaboo stamps.
I use digi stamps in nearly every card I make and knowing that I have their stamps to colour really makes me happy.  I just love them both and thankfully they have replaced my missing digi's.
There are lot's going on behind the scenes at both companies.
It's Tiddly Inks 1st birthday soon and Christy has exciting things going on to celebrate this huge milestone and Jodie is working hard to bring everyone a new Bugaboo shop.
Hopefully I will be back to creating card sand entering challenges tomorrow, once I have some programmes put back onto my netbook,
Hugs

I am a Pollycraft Favourite

As you may know my netbook died yesterday so today I have been trying to put all my favourite blogs to visit and challenge blogs to enter onto my Mums laptop.  It feels so big and heavy compared to my little netbook.
Anyway I digress, as I was going through all the challenge blogs I just noticed that I was chosen as a Pollycraft favourite!!
I'm really stoked and it has made this situation so much easier to put up with.
Thanks for dropping on by, whilst you're here why don't you read up on the CS Designs Easter hunt thats going on.  There's digi stamps to be won so well worth joining in,

My netbook has died

This morning my netbook died and now it won't start. Hopefully I can get it fixed but until then I will be limited in what I post.
Please keep your fingers crossed that it's fixably and cheap to do.

Happy 3rd Birthday Brody

I was asked last night to make a 3rd birthday card for my SIL's friends little boy.
Out of my many, many, many digi stamps I chose a bear from Bugaboo Digi Stamps.
There really are huge amounts of brilliant stamps over at Bugaboo, covering many topics, ages and interests.
Here is my card :

The wording is actually a font and was printed and not hand drawn.
The image is coloured with copics and then the dotty border is done with red and blue sakura stardust pens.
The large 3 is cut from red glitter paper.  The red mirri card is embossed with a crafts too folder (i think) and then I used an emery board to sand off the red mirri stars.
The PP is from my stash so I don't know the make and the card is finished off as usual with card candy this time in red mirri.
Thanks for popping around,
H xx

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Bunny hop with us to refer a friend

I'm sorry I'm so late entering this challenge and thus not leaving you much time to enter this challenge.  You don't have any Tiddly Ink Images??  Then go and check out the Freebies section of the Tiddly Inks store, there's loads to choose from.
So what do you have to do once you've made your Tiddly Ink card :
"SOOOOO we would love to have you to join in this challenge over the next 10 days and invite your friends so we can play and hop together.

WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
1) One random winner of a $10 gift voucher (there will be no Top 5).
2) And a new fun idea...a "referral reward" for up to 10 people.
How will we track it?
By pairs- as referrER and friend

Pretend you are Sally Sue (our happy little referrER).
Sally Sue decides she wants to join in all this craziness so she: makes her bunny card, posts it on her blog, asks people to join in, posts her link on the TI blog, and then sits back and waits.
For each Friend that enters this challenge and leaves a comment stating, "Sally Sue of Sally Sue's Super Blog told me to enter this challenge," Sally Sue's name goes in the "drawing pot" along with the Friend....This counts as ONE pair (one referrER and Friend). Sally Sue can be paired with multiple people and get entered into the drawing pot many times, but only one pair at a time.
Only thing is: Sally Sue's friend must leave a comment...otherwise, we may miss your entry.

After the challenge, we will choose 10 pairs of friends who both entered the challenge and left a comment. The referral reward for Sally Sue the referrER (if she is chosen as 1 of the 10 pairs) will be 2 images. The referral reward for her friend will be 1 image.

Now, Sally's friend is welcome to post all this on her blog and get her own name entered as the referrER too...

 WHAT TO DO NEXT?
Create a card and post it like you normally do----using a Tiddly Inks image (preferably with a bunny, but any TI image will work).
  1. Post your card on your blog by April 15, and if you want to join in the "refer a friend" part, there are two steps:
A: Add this badge (select from the side bar or below)"

    And so onto my card:

Annie is coloured with my copics and then I have added my clear sakura stardust pen on the ribbon to add some sparkle. I used my fiskars everywhere circle window punch to make the aperture which reveals my hand drawn pressie to match Annies.
The red PP is Bo Bunny and the glitter paper is from my stash.
I drew a swirl and then stuck gems to make the gem swirl.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.
I chose the colour scheme after seeing Fiskars  monthly theme (red, white and blue for the royal wedding) and I have used a digital stamp for this months technique.
    Wow lots of posts today!!
Please pop back to see other projects I have on the go this week, and don't forget the Babushka hunt, sale and  Easter parade.
    Hugs
    H xx

Lili of the Valley Challenge Card 91 - Peach and Green

I got quite a few new stamps at the Harrogate show and just haven't had time to play with them until today.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out.  The image is Birthday fairy is coloured with copic's.  I also used glamour dust on her wings and sakura stardust pen on her green pom poms and wand.
The PP in the background is from my stash and I think it's from the penny lane stack.  The image is popped on foam pads for dimension.  The fancy mats are cut on my cricut using Penny Duncans shaplies.
The flowers are sequins with a pearl in the centre.
This card is also being entered into the following challenges :

Chloe and the Mushroom

Two posts in one day for me!!  Thought I would share another card I've made with CS Designs, this time its the  cute Chloe and the mushroom image.
I have made this card using Sweet Sketch Wednesday's sketch.

And here's my card :

And here's a close up of Chloe :

Chloe has been coloured with a mixture of copics and sakura stardust pens.  The stardust pens have been used on the mushroom stalk, the grass and the spots on the mushroom.
I have added a pink gem to her shoes and glamour dust to her wings.
The metal embellishment is actually off some ear-rings I bought recently.  There were 9 on each ear-ring so a total of 18 for £2.50.  It is held in place with a pearl brad.
The PP is by We R Memory Keepers and is called hippity hoppity.
It was reduced in TK Maxx to £6 for a 12x12" stack.  There were 3 of each pattern so I split it between myself and my 2 friends.  The ric rak is from my stash.
Its been a while since I've done a twist card.  I forgot how much I enjoyed making them.
I am entering this card into the following challenges :
Sweet Sketch Wednesday - using the above sketch
Anything Goes Challenge - using pearls
Cute Card Thursday - Tropical colours
Hugs
