I have been up to nothing ever since I've finished the final exams of my life. Three years of my degree have passed. However, it's probably not the end yet with the fourth year coming up very soon. It is going to be the most interesting of all as I can't wait to meet my little parasites! Lol...
I forgot to post about this torturing prac that I had just before the end of semester. Physiology has never been my friend since last year and I was devastated to know that I had to do a physio component as the closing ceremony of my third year. Argh! I always thought dissecting a frozen chicken was the worst prac ever (I felt nauseous throughout that dissection not because of the sight but the smell of the frozen chicken) until I started this nerve prac.
This is a toad's sciatic and tibial nerve. Well, the nerve wasn't looking too bad, but the procedure was torturing. Skinning a frog was the yuckiest thing that I've ever done. x.x That's going to be my first and last time skinning an animal. Omg!
Because it's a nerve prac, so I was trying hard not to disturb the nerves as much as possible, but it seemed to be impossible to avoid. I got severe heart attack and goose bumps whenever the legs and muscles jerked or twitched. I felt the muscles were pushing against my scissors. Pengsan. It was mentally torturing. @@" There were people who forgot to pin down the frog legs had got the legs kicked up to their faces. Swt!I'm glad that I'll never have to do physio pracs again. I've had enough of toad and chicken dissections. Dissection just sounded so cool during secondary school, but not anymore after doing all these yucky stuff in uni. I'd rather deal with animal shit than dissecting them.
By the way, I'm not exaggerating the last sentence. I did handle a lot of shit pracs also (or maybe I'll say poo. lol). Chicken poo, sheep poo, cow poo, cheetah poo... Not to say they have a pleasant smell, but it's still much more bearable than that of a dissected frozen chicken (vomit....)
That's the update for now. Getting ready to survive another Aussie summer. Ahh..... x.x
