Earthquake

Earthquake again! This is my second time feeling earthquake in Australia. The first was when I was still asleep in the morning and the earthquake woke me up. Still blur blur wondering why am I shaking and thought I was still in my dreams. Lol.

This time is when I was at my table. I usually either put my leg like this or rest them on the wheels.
Then, suddenly I heard some sound. Like some vibrations of the things around me. Then I put my feet flat on the floor, only I managed to feel the shake. I was like "Ooooo.... earthquake!" and I still calmly sitting there, waiting for other people to come and confirm whether was it an earthquake or just imagination. Lol. Very slow response to earthquake indeed. The magnitude was 5.3. One of my housemate was walking back home and couldn't feel it and she was very upset about it. @@"

When All You Can Do Is Just Wait

The pracs that we do always like to test our patience. 1 hour incubation, 2 hours incubation or 10 times 3 minutes incubation, etc. So what do people do while waiting? Online, play iPad, chatting, doodling, have a walk, visit other friends in different class, yumchar, picnic, dancing, camwhore, drawing on lab coats, drawing on smelly latex gloves, and whatever things that we can think of to kill the boredom.

Eventhough my drawings are always terrible, but I was not doodling on my paper. This funny parasite really looks like this under the microscope. Lol.

I think one of the main thing I've learnt during this sem is how to prick my own fingers. This was an experiment on my blood glucose level. 5 fingers were wrapped but I actually pricked 7 times because I didn't manage to get my blood into the meter in time. @@"

My first poster presentation. I like it when we are allowed to choose our own topics to do. Some people have very interesting topic which makes mine quite normal. Swt. When it comes to presentation, I prefer doing slides because 90% of my slides will only be pictures. Lol. Don't have to worry about writing.
The poster presentation session wasn't too bad with free tim tams, pizzas and drinks at the end. "To celebrate the end of semester 1", said the lecturer. It was also the first and only time we were allowed to eat and drink in the lab. Haha.

Now it's back to the nerd season again.....

Stand Centre Front Performance

Finally got the time to post about this as the final two weeks of semester 1 were hectic. This is the Stand Centre Front Performance at the Fitzroy Townhall organised by Mayibuye. I spent two days at this place, dancing. Lol. Not only dancing, they also have other group activities and talks. There were also other dancers came all the way from New South Wales and Queensland for this workshop. They've got many type of dances for us to try. So besides those main routines that every group has prepared, we can also perform those routines that we have learnt in just 1 hour time. That's why can't expect to be very perfect. @@"

The Tough Chicks crew relaxing while waiting for their turn.

Watching other people's performance.

They invited some Bollywood dancers also. At first it was Bollywood, then halfway came in 3 pretty girls doing K-pop. In the end, became Bollywood + K-pop. I was like "huh?" Lol.... But it was quite nice though. Haha...

Our group photo after our performance. I can't see myself in the video, so no need to post up. Haha.

I find this one nicer. It was taken during our rehearsal.
I don't have many pictures as it's not convenient to carry the camera around. All the above pictures were taken by other people, except the first one. It was very fun and enjoyable. It's once in a blue moon to be able to perform a routine taught by a SYTYCD Australia top 4 finalist, Demi.

Think I'm going to stick with Mayibuye's activities as long as I'm here. Hehe..
