This Week's Favourite

So glad that this time SYTYCD Season 8 is having Top 20 instead of Top 11 (in Season 7). It just makes the atmosphere so much merrier. This season is quite interesting because the top 20 comprises a variety of dancers. Unlike previous seasons with almost all them were contemporary dancers, season 8 has got wider range of dancers.

Their solos are quite unique and fresh, especially those jazz and breakdancers. Both guys and girls are awesome!! Don't know who to choose!

This week, Tabitha and Napoleon's routine made this pair my favourite of the week - Melanie and Marko dancing lyrical hip hop! :D

Nice story. Enjoy!

Hibernation Begins

Yesterday, I had my last paper at a very different exam venue - La Trobe Language Centre. It's located a bit further from my uni and it's my first time coming to this language centre. This is where international students can learn english before they start a course here. It's not a very big place, just a few buildings and an office, but the toilet is like a hotel toilet. I was quite surprise. Lol. So much nicer than the toilets in uni.

I still can't believe that exams are over! I'm halfway through my course already! So fast. After the paper, it's so nice to have a walk back to the uni in such a beautiful weather. :)

Reaching uni....

Don't know what flowers are those but they have got an interesting look.

Finally, I've bought my uni's jumper! Have been thinking about it since last year. The colour is actually a lot redder than the one in the picture. It's red like angpow. A very good chinese new year outfit indeed. xD

Now start enjoying my holidays!! :D

Near The Pit Stop

I'm taking forever to finish this book. Since the start of the semester, it has always been my bedtime story. No matter how tired I am, I will still grab it and read at least one chapter (I wish I could do this to my textbooks too. @@"). However, half way through the semester when the reports started to pile up, dust also started to pile up on top of this book. :/

In the end, I'm so lost when I continue to read from the page where I stopped months ago. Swt. I guess I've got plans for my semester break already. I'm going to stay in the room 24/7 and read this book again. Hehe.

3 down 1 more to go. My favourite paper is coming up last. Hope I manage to have a decent closing ceremony for second year semester 1. Dear parasites, I love you all, love me back please!!

The picture above is my ugly drawing of a dog tick. I have been seeing this little creature since young and I finally have the chance to draw it. Haha. Don't know how many years ago, I once picked up a dog tick and looked closely at it and I noticed it's got 8 legs. Huh? I always thought they are insects? So I have been pondering on this question ever since.

Thanks to this subject, I finally got my answer: tick is more related to spiders, not insects! :D

Think back again, I could have just googled it to find out right from the start. @@"

Just Reached An Oasis

I've got a severe brain damage because of cramping in all the microbe names until my head also grow fungus. Now these weird names are floating around in my mind. Burkholderia, Ehrlichia, Rickettsia prowazeckii...... @@"

Okay, enough of them. Two down two more to go. Can't wait to finish everything and I can become nocturnal again! Yes!!

I cooked myself some long life noodles. So hungry after the paper. It's been ages since the last photo of my cooking. Haha.

Study!! Study!! Study!!

The First Time Of Everything

Had my zoo guide training again on Sunday. This time, they've prepared a guiding practice for us to do. Each of us did 15 minutes of guiding in a group of 5. So that's not too scary compared to presentation plus the 5 people were just my classmates. Haha.

In my very first guiding practice, I talked about these pelicans. Haha. I chose to go first in that practice and started at the Wildsea Precinct. The beginning of the Wildsea Precinct is the part where I'm most familiar with so far compared to the Asian Rainforest Precinct (I still can't remember the Sumatran tigers' names). That's why I volunteered to go first. Keke.

The pelicans weren't too hard to talk about. Look at its mouth from above. So big. Haha.

My first guiding practice wasn't too bad with no preparations at all. Lol. Everything was just based on my memory because I really didn't have the time to go through and read all the information seriously yet. I even got the most famous Australian fur seal's gender wrong. Aikss... Soooo sorry Silva, I thought you're a handsome boy. I should dig a hole and hide my head. @@" But all of them said that I explained the sponges very well. :D

I've still got a 3 minutes talk on the animal of my choice. So my choice is this hooded plover. I've already prepared the talk and did a lot of practice. Just worrying about myself getting nervous once I walk to the front with over 40 pairs of eyes locked on me. Feel like there's an internal earthquake with the magnitude of 9 in my body. Pengsan.

By the way, I went to the zoo again today for my mentoring session and the black clouds accompanied me to the zoo too. It was quite a heavy rain, and was also hailing!! Woohoo... My first time seeing hail! I was excited to feel the hail hitting on my hands for the first time. Haha.

However after that, my hands were freeeezing...... :(

Doggie Bucket

Oh my, Eukanuba is doing a great job in producing prettier buckets. I absolutely love this bucket! Yay to Eukanuba! A brand that my family (or maybe say my dogs? Hehe) have been using for donkey's years. xD

It's full of pictures that make people smile. Definitely love that photographer too. Lol.

But I can't touch the bucket. Ahh.... :(

These two photos were taken by: Miss Loh (p/s: it's not me) :p
