FOCUS.

F - Fellowship
O - Overseas
C - Christian
U - University
S - Student

My Shanghai friend, Gill, told me about this organisation weeks ago. It has a gathering on every Friday night. I wanted to go last Friday but I ended up working on my summaries, especially referencing (took me ages to find the names of the authors in those bloody websites) >=(

So this time I told myself to go! You might wonder why I was so enthusiastic. FREE dinner! That's what me and Gill were aiming for. Haha... It's held at someone's house. They have pastas, rice, curry beef, veges, garlic bread... didn't take many photos, paiseh.

Quite a lot of people and 90% of them are asians. After dinner, then listened their singing and some speeches. I didn't know that new people like me have to stand up and introduce ourselves. @@ Then, they seperated catogories for non-Christian, Christian, english speaking and mandarin speaking. I followed Gill to the english speaking non-Christian group for the small discussion.

Mat salleh here are special because they can speak fluent mandarin!! @@".. I was stunned for a while. I talked to a lot of people. Mostly came from countries like Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong. So many new friends and over 30 new names introduced at the same time, by now, I can barely remember 10 names. All of them are either La Trobe students or ex-students. It wasn't bad. At least I can still laughed at some lame Malaysian jokes. Lol... People here are so funny and so easy to get along with as if we already knew each other for some time. After that, got supper somemore. I had lammington (Australian cake) and I actually missed it since the last time I ate it which was few years ago.

Gill: "Come eat supper." (Eating her chocolate)

Me: "Eat already."

Gill: "Still got." (Took another one)

Me: "LOL"

Proves that she goes there got 'yam mao' wan. Lol...

Now I don't have to cook on Fridays anymore. Haha... Try to take more photos next time.

Short Post.

It's week 5 for the chicken raising prac and it's also the chickens' final weigh-in. Sounds like biggest loser for chickens. Let's see how the chickens look like now.

They have grown so much!! Cannot catch with one hand anymore.
We are allowed to take one or two chickens home if we like. Of course I want to, but I think the poor chicken will have to take an aeroplane back home. After this, no more fun pracs. Next up will be the written type pracs which will be not so fun.

Never thought of "opening wok" just now because I've always hated the oil smell on my body after cooking. However, I changed my mind when I walked into the kitchen because I haven't been cooking since the last 2 weeks. So it's kinda like last minute decision and this was how the product looked like.

Not bad? Lol.... It's tomyam meehoon. Of course it's not bad as I didn't need to adjust the taste. Just add more tomyam paste so it's not tasteless. Haha...

My Name Is Tom.

When I was studying in the evening, my handphone vibrated. I got a message from this unknown number. This was what the message said:

"Oi, Tom it's Jake. I rang Ray just before and he said he won't be onto anything until fri arvo. sorry I couldn't help. I'm goin to the bowlo tomoz arvo, come down and I will try and think of somebody else. gotta run goin tailor fishin"

Huh? Since when my name has changed to Tom and since when I got a friend named Jake?? Swt.... Of course I ignored it and continued doing my own things. Several minutes later, my handphone vibrated again. Another message from the same number:

"It's Leigh if your after yay just facebook tj would probly be the easyiest way. I don't have a car so i can't get up to go get some gas."

Ooo... So I, the new Tom, have to dig out someone called Leigh and scold her "Hey!! Why your Jake friend keeps on sending sms-es to strangers like me!? Very rich ah?? Kacau you know!"

After that, there were no more stray sms-es. Aikss.... I read too much Kenny Sia's posts already until myself also post this kind of style. Lol....

After living here for a month, I finally saw a possom! It was very big, fat, cute and cuddly! It was night time so I didn't managed to take a picture of it.

Weather is getting colder until I have to wrap myself in a blanket while I study. I only wear 1 t shirt and a short pants, still not used to wearing so many clothes at home but I think I have to now. =(

Uni Tours.

Back at Bundoora around 9am. Thanks to Yuen May(my cousin) because she fetched me back and that's why I bought a lot of groceries. Then, went to meet up with Zhi Ying Lee in city. She is my only college friend that's studying here. She brought me to this Japanese & Korean Restaurant at Elizabeth St.

She ordered curry beef rice.($9.50)
I ordered beef udon($9.50). Long time no eat my favorite udon mee already. We talked a lot. I mean really A LOT if compare to college days because she's a cool type and I'm a quiet type. From my theft case recently, to her milo got confiscated at the airport few days ago, to my uni classes, to her uni classes, to my aussie life, to her aussie life and to many more... lol... Plus, no need to control Malaysian slang such as "zha dao!" and "har!?". Hehe...

After lunch, we walked around Victoria Market. Then, we walked to her house or rather called a studio at Carlton. I brought my hard disc along to get some dramas and songs from her.

In the process of copying.Although I don't know many chinese songs but I still saved a lot of favorite karaoke chinese songs like "shen qi bai ma", "hua sha", "an jing le", "shan hu hai" and some cantonese songs such as "ngo tik wui yik pat si ngo tik" and even korean songs "sorry sorry sorry" and "nobody". These songs represent my karaoke kaki friends. So when I'm missing 1 of them at a particular moment, I'll listen to the song that she usually sings. Haha... I also asked 1 of my k kaki to send songs to me when I was at my relative's place. Thanks. =)

Then, we visited Melbourne uni. It's so huge!! I think it's even bigger than my uni or maybe just because this is my first time there. The buildings are so old fashioned until I looked more like in Rome than in a uni. Imagine my dad used to walk around here for 4 years. Wow.....

I didn't know what pictures to take inside. So we searched for the engineering department where my dad left his footsteps decades ago.Like going on holidays.MacFarland Court.Union House or food court.
Look like some abandoned mansions? Guess again.

It's the botany building!University House.Department of zoology. Unlike botany building, it doesn't have animals surrounding the building. =(Last destination: Monash Uni Parkville campus which is Zhi Ying's uni. This campus has only 4 blocks of building which specialise in phamacy and pharmaceutical science.
Cafeteria. They have aquariums and a snake in the cafeteria. So syok!
Second cafeteria. The words there are big enough to tell.Last picture is for Ling. Haha....

I only slept for 5 hours last night. A bit tired after the uni tours until I fell asleep in the tram. Luckily didn't overshoot. Nitez.

Chesterfield Farm

It's Easter, so I've got more than a week off. Travelled alone from Bundoora to Mount Waverly to stay with my relatives, and this time, I didn't turn to the wrong direction in the city! Haha...

Next day, visited Chesterfield farm. This was my first time going to farm.
Feeding the sheeps. I had to multitask, 1 hand feed the sheeps, 1 hand take picture.

They were so photogenic. Hehe...Goat kids. They allowed people to go in and pat them. They were so active jumping up and down. They actually sleep on that chair. When I went in, the dark brown one stood up and put its 2 front hoofs on me like a dog. So super cute! Sooo wanna bring back home.Close up. So cute hor...

Baby sheeps. Super cute!! They kept on "meh... meh..."This adult sheep was super friendly. Like to stick to people like doggies. I had to quickly shut the gate because it tried to follow me out.

Cute piglets!!Weather was just nice and windy. Didn't sweat abit after walking the whole farm.

See the goats hungry until stuck their head out and scared the small kids away. lol....This one so fierce. When I wanted to feed another goat, it knocked that goat away.

Donkeys!! I didn't know that donkey's head is so big until I pat it. The white donkey followed me as I walked along the path.

I walked, it walked.

I stopped, it stoped. So it deserved the food.

A lot of Bambies!! Saw this lonely pony far away, so I walked towards it. It didn't move a bit, waiting for me to come.

I saw this alpaca was super far away. I stood there waiting it to come. It walked with a slow pace towards me. Waited a few minutes and it's still far away. So I tried to make some noise and called out "come here, boy!!" (actually I didn't know the gender, cincai call only) Next moment, it started to run towards me. Finally..... lol....More piglets!! These were smaller and, of course, cuter too!!
They played and wrestled around like small puppies.

I saw Babe!!There are so many more cute pictures that I want to post, but uploading pictures is so troublesome and long. So only show some of it. There were also rabbits, chickens, ducks, birds, kangaroos, cows, deers with antlers, goats and more. It was fun!

One more thing before I end this post, Happy 19th Birthday to miss Ziin!! Make wishes and may all your wishes come true! Best buddies forever!! Now only I notice I'm using the same water bottle as you. Haha...
