The Great Disney Adventure, Pt 5

Ok, last one!
(Yeah, we had SO much fun, we needed 5 Blog Posts about it!)

Oh the fun the kids had.
Nora's favorite place was the splash pad.
Ains liked it too. :)
but I think Nora had the most fun :)

The kids programs were amazing.
Ainsley's favorite place on the ship was 'Andy's Room'
It had all these oversized Toy Story characters.
There was always something going on.
We saw the Muppet Movie, two different big Broadway type shows and a bunch of Disney Movies that were always playing in different areas on the boat.
(Including on the main deck on a huge screen in front of the pool!)
They even had a dance party with the characters at one point. :)

Did you know Mickey has his own Private Island??
Neither did I, but it's pretty cool :)
Tom went sailing with his brothers while the girls and I chilled on the beach.
The island was the last day of our cruise.
They sailed back while we were sleeping,
and when we woke up it was over.
I will leave you with one last picture from the cruise..
I give you... Towel Monkey :)

The way home was... long. It started off well though.
This is how Nora spent the first part.
and how Ainsley spent her time.
I didn't take pictures of the 2nd half..
no one wants to see that, lol.
It was a great trip, definitely worth the trouble of a couple crazy hours on the way home. :)

The Great Disney Adventure, Pt 4

My favorite thing about the cruise was seeing all the characters around the ship.

Belle looks a little funny and Nora isn't thrilled
but it's the only one I got of both my princesses, so there ya go. :)

The Two Cinderella's
I was so excited to get a picture of Nora with Cinderella in her princess dress. When I had the chance, she had different ideas. She's definitely got a mind of her own. This is the best shot I got.

Ainsley was THRILLED to see so many princesses
Ariel is Ainsley's favorite, so we had to get another picture. :)
Nora was more excited by Mickey and his friends

Minnie was her absolute favorite. :) She hadn't said a lot of words before then, but she said 'Minnie' when Princess Minnie walked by.

My second favorite thing about the cruise.. was the food. :)
There was food everywhere! There was always something open where you can snag some goodies. :) And what they served at the restaurants was pretty amazing. It was also really fun. :)
There were Mickey's everywhere..
everywhere...
They had a Pirate Night :)
aarrrgghhh

The Royal Palace had fancy everything, this is the bread basket.
(If you look closely at the mirror behind it you can see the Beast)

Nora thoroughly enjoyed her dining experience :)
check out that fancy mac n' cheese!
And there was entertainment too :)

The Great Disney Adventure, Pt 3

Ok, Day 3... on to the Cruise!
We took a big tour bus since there were SO many of us
(22 Family Members + 14 Family Friends = 36 people in Crazy Christensen Party!)

We stopped at Cape Canaveral on our way to the ship.
While we waited in line Nora played hair dresser.
and when that got old she began her acrobatics.
She's a charmer.

We saw some cool stuff, and Santa even showed up!
The big kids all had a lot of fun together.

And then we headed on to the port! The ship was ENORMOUS!
We were on the Disney Dream which is the newest ship. 2011 was it's first year sailing, so ours was considered one of it's inaugural voyages. Cool. :)
We all got on board and settled in.

Stay tuned for more. :)

The Great Disney Adventure, Pt 2

and onward.. the 2nd day of trip we went to..
ANIMAL KINGDOM

There was a petting zoo
Nora was a big fan. :)
They have an amazing safari! We saw so many exotic animals close up!
After that we saw the parade. Tom was so excited. ;)
They had this giant tree in the middle of the park, The Tree of Life. I tried to get a picture to show how huge it was.. but I failed... it keeps going and going way beyond what this picture shows
The most fun was had at Discovery Island: Dino land U.S.A. Most because there was a lot of places to just run around :)
Oh, and the Dino Ride that was just like Dumbo.. but with Dino's..

It was fun to be at a Disney Park near the holidays to see all the decorations. There was a Giant Christmas tree at the gates

I think they had a good time :)
