Our Mansfield Thiots
Ricky and Becky got to attend the sealing of friends at the temple Saturday night. Dick and I loved running into them there. The big girls had a great week at girls camp and loved that the cabins were airconditioned and everything was so nice. They had camp cooks and cleaneruppers and were treated as royalty. What a fun week. Addison loved the blob in the lake and it reminded me that her dad loved the big blob at scout camp too. Must be in their blood. Brooklyn made a new friend and that made it mighty fun. Harper had fun with her friends and kind of enjoyed being an only child. She and two friends sang at a baptism on Saturday. They sounded like angels. Ricky had a conference in Nashville and is glad to be home.
Our Medford Granges
Simon took Gracie for a little road trip in the garage. I love how Gracie is hanging on to her boot straps. Simon looks thrilled to be at the wheel. After the first week of summer school, Max woke up very sick on Saturday morning and the Dr. recommended they head to the Emergency Room. After many tests, they decided it was the flu and they rehydrated him and sent him home with some meds. He is slowly getting back to normal.
Sky was facetiming with Elie while she and her mom are on a road trip to florida. She told him the napkin dispensor at waffle house looked like a person. Sky gave it some eyes and some teeth and then later in the day turned it into a get well card for Max at the Hospital.
Our Folsom Thiots
Charlie and Jen took a trip to Oakland to the temple and also took their bikes and had a great bike ride across the Golden Gate bridge. What a great weekend. I'm glad to report Keelie is recovering nicely from Covid and is back to her job teaching summer school.
Our Orem Thiots
Our traveling Thiots are back home and we had the funest home movie night on Sunday night enjoying their pictures they took on their trip. What a blast they had. I'm so glad they got to go and that they had a great time. I'm glad they are safely back on the same continent as us. Welcome Home. They have a house ful of company staying with them and Ricky and Becky and girls are on their way tomorrow for a visit. Party on Orem Thiots!!!
Our Upstairs Thiots
Elie is on a road trip to Florida with her mom and her grammy for a family reunion. She's loving getting to play with lots of cousins at the beach.Skyler is missing Miss Elie but is loving getting to face time with her almost every day for a few minutes and catch up with her fun. We got to take two dogs for a walk while their owners are out of town. I loved that we walked past Dalmation street even though Toby is not a Dalmation, he like it.
We Plano Thiots
We got to attend the temple on Saturday night with Jacob Mass who was going to recieve his own Endowment. Oh how we love this young man. He was in my seminary class for three years and is going to be an outstanding missionary.I made Minionaries to pass out for favors after out dinner at Benihanas with his family. What fun!
Benihanas is such a fun place to have dinner. We all loved it.
On Wednesday, I took three little boys to see the Paw Patrol Movie. I had never watched the Paw Patrol but have bought paw patrol toys for little boys and it was fun to go.
I love these boys, they are the same ages as Callum, Max and Oscar. I just pretended they were my grandsons.
We studied 2 Kings on Sunday and I loved bringing our old Thiot Family bible to tell about finding those lost scriptures. We are learning to trust in the Lord and we loved curing our boils with figgy newton cookies.
Dick and Skyler have a few friends who LOVE to drive race cars. Last Thursday they were invited to come out to the race track in Fort Worth and take a ride in David's brand new racing edition Corvette. Now they had to leave our house at 5:30 am which was not that appealing but they were both glad they had gone. Oh my goodness, I'm not sure there feet have touched the ground yet. They loved driving fast and had a blast!
My Dad's Dad, Orval Edwin Birks was born on July 19, 1886. Just 100 years before my Pierce. So this year was his 136th birthday. I loved looking at pictures of him and thinking about him.
This is Grandpa and Grandma with their first two children, Aunt Ruby and Uncle Albert in 1923
By 1940, all ten children were there. Five boys and Five Girls.
Here they are 10 years later. What a great family. Two girls and three boys are now in heaven but two boys and three girls are still on earth. Love them all! I hope you had a great week week. We are feeling so blessed that Max is feeling better. Stay well everyone, if not, get some figgy newton cookies. Sure love you, Robynn
