 Our Mansfield Thiots

Ricky and Becky got to attend the sealing of friends at the temple Saturday night.  Dick and I loved running into them there.  The big girls had a great week at girls camp and loved that the cabins were airconditioned and everything was so nice.  They had camp cooks and cleaneruppers and were treated as royalty.  What a fun week.  Addison loved the blob in the lake and it reminded me that her dad loved the big blob at scout camp too.  Must be in their blood.  Brooklyn made a new friend and that made it mighty fun.  Harper had fun with her friends and kind of enjoyed being an only child. She and two friends sang at a baptism on Saturday.  They sounded like angels.   Ricky had a conference in Nashville and is glad to be home.

Our Medford Granges

Simon took Gracie for a little road trip in the garage.  I love how Gracie is hanging on to her boot straps.  Simon looks thrilled to be at the wheel.
After the first week of summer school, Max woke up very sick on Saturday morning and the Dr. recommended they head to the Emergency Room.  After many tests, they decided it was the flu and they rehydrated him and sent him home with some meds.  He is slowly getting back to normal.
Sky was facetiming with Elie while she  and her mom are on a road trip to florida.  She told him the napkin dispensor at waffle house looked like a person.  Sky gave it some eyes and some teeth and then later in the day turned it into a get well card for Max at the Hospital.

Our Folsom Thiots

Charlie and Jen took a trip to Oakland to the temple and also took their bikes and had a great bike ride across the Golden Gate bridge.  What a great weekend.  I'm glad to report Keelie is recovering nicely from Covid and is back to her job teaching summer school.

Our Orem Thiots

Our traveling Thiots are back home and we had the funest home movie night on Sunday night enjoying their pictures  they took on their trip.  What a blast they had.  I'm so glad they got to go and that they had a great time.  I'm glad they are safely back on the same continent as us.  Welcome Home.  They have a house ful of company staying with them and Ricky and Becky and girls are on their way tomorrow for a visit.  Party on Orem Thiots!!!

Our Upstairs Thiots

Elie is on a road trip to Florida with her mom and her grammy for a family reunion.  She's loving getting to play with lots of cousins at the beach.

Skyler is missing Miss Elie but is loving getting to face time with her almost every day for a  few minutes and catch up with her fun.  We got  to take two dogs for a walk while  their owners are out of town.  I loved that we walked past Dalmation street even though Toby is not a Dalmation, he like it.

We Plano Thiots

We got to attend the temple on Saturday night with Jacob Mass who was going to recieve his own Endowment.  Oh  how we love this young man.  He was in my seminary class for three years and is going to be an outstanding missionary.
I made Minionaries to pass out for favors after out dinner at Benihanas with his family.  What fun!
Benihanas is such a fun place to have dinner.  We all loved it.
On Wednesday, I took three little boys to see the Paw Patrol Movie.  I had never watched the Paw Patrol but have bought paw patrol toys for little boys and it was fun to go.
I love these boys, they are the same ages as Callum, Max and Oscar.  I just pretended they were my grandsons.

We studied 2 Kings on Sunday and I loved bringing our old Thiot  Family bible to tell about finding those lost scriptures.  We are learning to trust in the Lord and we loved curing our boils with figgy newton cookies.

Dick and Skyler have a few friends who LOVE to drive race cars.  Last Thursday they were invited to come out to the race track in Fort Worth and take  a ride in David's brand new racing edition Corvette.  Now they had to leave our house at 5:30 am which was not that appealing but they were both glad they had gone.  Oh my goodness, I'm not sure there feet have touched the ground  yet.  They loved driving fast and had a blast!

My Dad's Dad, Orval Edwin Birks was born on July 19, 1886.  Just 100 years before my Pierce.  So this year was his 136th birthday.  I loved looking at pictures of him and thinking about him.
This is Grandpa and Grandma with their first two children, Aunt Ruby and Uncle Albert in 1923
By 1940, all ten children were there.   Five boys and Five Girls.

Here they are 10 years later.  What a great family.  Two girls and three boys are now in heaven but two boys and three girls are still on earth.  Love them all! I hope you had a great week week. We are feeling so blessed that Max is feeling better.  Stay well everyone, if not, get some figgy newton cookies.  Sure love you, Robynn

It's a HOT month of July!

 Our Mansfield Thiots

Tomorrow morning, Brooklyn and Addison will head out for four of the best days of Summer.  It's Girls Camp and they are excited to go.  I'm so happy they get this opportunity this summer.  Have a wonderful week girls!

Our Medford Granges

Jake invited the three big kids to attend Southern Oregon's Premier Comic Con.  They were so excited and spent the morning putting together some amazing costumes.  Photos coming soon.

Our Folsom Thiots

July 4th fireworks in Sacramento are very well done.  It's kind of a lonesome week in Folsom.  Keelie came home from Girls Camp and brought Covid with her.  She is working to get feeling better so she can get back to her summer job she's been loving.  Jen's kids are in Utah for four L O N G weeks.  It's probably going by quickly for them, but long for us as we are missing them.  Callum is trying to stay well.  Prayers heading your way you two!

Our Orem Thiots

I loved these pictures Pierce and Stacy sent us from New Zealand.  What a magical forest.  Oh my goodness, I LOVE those gorgeous lanterns and those gorgeous children!  They are heading for home this very Day!  Safe Travels!

Our Upstairs Thiots

With the Calendar turning to the  month of July, we had to bid Miss Elie goodbye as her mama has her for the month of July.  We did get her for the Fireworks on the 4th which we loved. We took the DART train to fair park for a fabulous fireworks display.  It was a fun evening.  We loved our cousins Jerimiah and Jami meeting us there for that HOT night together.

We Plano Thiots

I loved this picture of our sweet Aunt Betty that her daughter sent us on July 4th.  Aunt Betty's daughter Connie is a very talented quilter.  I love her patriotic quilt she made her.  I can tell Aunt Betty loves it too.
Miss Elie shared her fireworks painting set with our friend Miss Charlotte.  She loved making firework paintings too.  It's amazing what an empty roll of toilet paper can make.
I couldn't resist a picture of Dick on the 4th of July.  He has been loving his Fathers Day Texas Ranger shirt.  He and Sky are hoping to go watch the Rangers play ball this week.  They are on a winning streak.  Two in a row I believe!  I hope you've had a great week and that you are staying cool.  We had a 108 day and we are loving it and we LOVE you!  SLY Robynn

 Our Mansfield Thiots

Ricky was asked arrange for the volunteers to clean up the July 4th Arlington Parade.  He's a great organizer and I'm sure did a fabulous job.  We were so glad they could come on Saturday night to our swim party to celebrate my birthday.  What fun to be together. The two big girls are getting excited about their upcoming adventure to Girls Camp and then they  have a family trip to Utah on the Calendar.  What a fun summer this is shaping up to be.

Our Medford Granges

Medford is having kind of a Chilly July 4th which makes for a sweet parade.  Max said that July 4th is almost like Halloween.  Lots of candy being tossed during the parade.  they came home with a whole bag full.  That made everyone happy.  They've had a fun week having extra kids over which makes life even more fun.

Our Folsom Thiots

Our Folsom Thiots had some great river time last weekend and then this weekend, Jen drove Liam and Ewan up to meet their dad for their stay in Utah for the  next four weeks.  I'm sure they will love their time there but will surely be missed. Keelie went to Girls Camp this week and had a great time. She loves everything about camping and loved being able to share her testimony at camp.

Our New Zealand Thiots

On the 27th, it was Pierce's birthday and they flew to New Zealand for a visit.  They loved it and especially loved the trip to where the hobbits live.  What gorgeous photos.  I loved seeing that beautiful part of this world though there camera's eyes.  Thanks for the Face time call today in your van.  What fun!!!!

Our Upstairs Thiots

We got to tend our sweet Baby Kamila last Saturday and Miss Elie was thrilled.  She got to feed her her bottle and did a great job.  She is excellent at burping babies too.  Kamila loves Elie and Elie spend the rest of the day making things for her.  Including toys, shoes, a unicorn hat, a crib mobile toy and many other things.
The DART Train has been having some delays in their times this week which made for some extra long stop overs.  What fun it was to stop and take a ride on this very fun swing.  Oh what do you do in the summertime?  Do you swing in a swing up high? Is that what you do?  So do I!
Do you swim in a pool to keep your self cool with your friends who also start with E?  Ella and Evie are great swimming buddies.  What fun these girls have had together this week.

We made a Summer Fun Calendar for the  month of June and what a fun month  Skyler has planned for Elie.  I've loved being included on some of the events.  What great memories they've made!

We Plano Thiots

Saturday morning we put together some fun plans for a Birthday Party.  Our sweet friends let us use their lovely swimming pool and Dick cooked up some tasty J Dawgs and a good time was had by all.  With such short notice, I didn't think anyone would be able to come. Everyone we invited was able to arrange their schedule to be with us.  What great family and friends.

Here is Marissa and Kamila and Elie keeping her eye on them.
Here is Linda holding Emily's baby Lily and Emily
Here is Brian and Evie
and a pool filled with people we love.

Charlotte and Ella had fun together

and Elie loved demonstrating how to shoot the water shooters and bubble makers.

The sunrise was gorgeous one morning and I was able to return a shopping cart someone had left along my walking path.  Such fun to fill it up with trash treasure along the way to return it to Walmart.

We loved meeting up with Christensens and Skyler to pack meals of Manna for Feed the Starving Children.  We loved getting to serve there. I hope you've had an extra nice week too. Thanks for the Birthday Wishes.  SLY Robynn
